Location was excellent, right in the middle of La Ramblas with several train and bus stations nearby, and variety of food and shopping choices, all within walking distance. However, because we were Asians ( I can't think of any other sensible reason), we were initially given a room where the TV remote doesn't work, the lights were dim and you had to pay for daily cleaning. We were too tired to say anything so we took the room, at least it was peaceful and quiet. What took the cake for us was the presence of roaches in the room! We marched straight to the reception and basically told them this was the first time I had stayed in a hotel, Citadines no less, that had roaches. Guess what? We were given another room in the newer wing where EVERYTHING works and it was such a bright clean room compared to the dark, dingy corner room we were given earlier. Reception did not even apologise when we told him about the roaches, only upon checking out did they ask about our stay. We're not the kind of guests that usually cause any problem with unreasonable demands & complaints; we would have probably continued to stay in the first room if not for the roaches. So, Asians and non-European travellers, please beware this double standards that's still being practised in some places. It's so unethical.

Speedy check-in. Staff were prompt and took initiative. Spacious room - you have a full kitchen, have free flow coffee at the lobby. You can just change your towels etc daily by bringing them down.

Love this hotel

Location is superb. Airport shuttle is just 5min walk away. Many attractions are within walking distance from hotel. Plenty of food and shopping around. Room is clean and spacious. Hotel staff are friendly. Even gave me a room with super nice view of the city. I will definitely cone back again.

Great location

Location is great - a few minutes' walk to departure points of airport bus, various tours and the metro, and La Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter are at the doorstep with all the shops and restaurants. We stayed in a studio with a kitchenette which was very useful, so we didn't mind not having daily housekeeping and just brought the towels to reception be changed when needed. The rooftop sun terrace is great - enjoyed the sights and sounds of the city both daytime and night time (you need to get up there before 8pm but can stay beyond that). We asked for a quiet room, so our room had no noise from the street, but it meant the view from our window is the wall of the next building. Unfortunately we could hear our noisy neighbours.

Good location but everything else is bad

The front desk is largely a team of guys who lack customer service. The room is dark and feels stuffy. Experienced short circuit during our stay. The toilet shower head is old..wall is moldy in the toilet. Reception is on 1st floor so it's inconvenient with big luggage. I won't go back again.

Room at good value and a good location!

Room size is very good at this price, given La Ramblas is smacked right at it's doorstep! Very convenient for dining, shopping and basically near to all tourist sights. But it's about time hotel needs some sprucing up, rooms and interior is kind of looking old... And do be reminded this apart-hotel charges for housekeeping, so if not, just make your own bed!

Friendly Front Office Staff!

The hotel has a fantastic location, right in the heart of the main activities! Shopping is just right at your doorstep! The front office staff were really helpful in providing information and making dinner reservations and getting a cab to the airport. However, there was only 1 flaw. The housekeepers missed cleaning our room 1 day. I informed the front office staff who ensured that our room was made up the next few days we were there. Totally enjoyed the experience in this hotel. Keep up the good work!

The renovated rooms are very nice!

I booked my parents a studio apartment at Citadines for a week to accompany me during my company trip. There were two choices for the apartment, with a view or without. I chose the one without because the photos looked nicer. True enough, the apartments without view seemed to have undergone renovation and they are very nice! Location waa great near Carrefour and along Las Ramblas, short walk from Plaza Catalunya. The only issues my parents had was the fact that the housekeeping was a bit slow to come on some days and they forgot to clear the rubbish. Another one is the way the shower cubicle was done with only glass covering half of it-water easily flows out and the bathroom floor will get a bit wet.

가성비 좋고, 위치가 최고에요

가성비가 좋고, 깨끗했어요. 그리고 뷰가 좋은 방이었는데, 방안에서 바르셀로나 대성당이 잘보였고, 야경도 감상할 수 있었습니다. 위치가 람블라스거리 한복판이라, 주요 명소 관광하기에 정말 좋았던것 같습니다. 밤에 가끔 고성방가하는 사람이 있을 순 있습니다. 아쉬웠던 점은, 이중창이 아니라서 방안이 약간 추웠습니다. 그리고, 조명을 다 켜도 그리 밝지않아서 어둡게 지냈습니다. 입구를 찾기 힘들었다는 점도 있긴합니다. 그러나 직원분께서 굉장히 친절하셔서 기분 좋은 여행이 될수 있었습니다.
