The hotel rooms were clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Washing machine, dryer, kitchen. Walkable distance to the seaside Te Papa museum and Cuba Street. Only flaw is that somehow the air conditioner in my room switches off every 2 hours. I'm not sure if it's centrally controlled or what because there's no way I could reset any timer.

The Ramada was great value through Expedia. Our room was really spacious with lovely floor-to-ceiling windows and a sunny, northerly aspect. Despite being on a relatively busy street, the noise was minimal, and we slept really well. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable. It was a bonus being able to park the car at the hotel for an affordable fee, and the car-stacker was very efficient. The hotel is in a great location, especially if you want to be close to Cuba Street, which is a vibrant part of the city with great shops and eateries. Make sure you buy any groceries before Moore Wilson’s (on Tory Street) closes at 6pm, otherwise the nearest supermarket is in Willis Street. There are dairies nearby though for the basics. We will definitely stay at the Ramada again.

Housekeeping needs reviewing

Being a Ramada hotel with good reviews it fell well below expectations. Unfortunately we had to ask to move rooms due to unacceptable housekeeping conditions, toilet had not been cleaned, neither the sink. The room had not been hoovered, crockery was not checked as there were multiple items left dirty. Thick dust was also in a lot of places. The room which we were moved into was an improvement but still lacked evidence of deep cleaning, get the impression the bare minimum is done on each turnaround. Left disappointed

Very good. Property was in great condition and spacious. Had all facilties. Only drawback was view was of another building that was close by, however the price reflected this. Overall would recommend.as a great place to stay, close to everything and also good service from the reception desk.

The property was very quite and clean and the location is excellent. The main essential where there but no frils which is okay considering the asking price. Communication sometimes lacking as stuff are either not easily reachable or slow to act which caused us unnecessary anxiety.

First Visit to Wellington

Great location for visiting Wellington. Very kind and helpful staff. Entry was a bit tricky the first time, entering in the alley. Rooms were great.

Convenient to Cuba St, OK Rooms, Slow Checkin

Check in took over 30 minutes and there was only 2 checkins before us. Air conditioner filters smelled musty and needed to be changed/clean. Nice washer/dryer, with laundry soap provided, in the unit. Conveniently located close to Cuba Street restaurants but the area was surrounded by graffiti tagged buildings. Seems like the area has really gone degraded. No convenient onsite parking but lots of street parking and a next-door low-cost lot.
