Gives dive hotels a bad name
The experience with this Hotel was poor. At check in, they asked for cash payment in advance despite me showing the receipt of prepayment.
Upon entering the room, the smell of mildew was overpowering; the holes in the plaster, broken towel racks and scale filled bathtub where all something we decided to deal with until there was no working A/C. We asked to change rooms. After two more showings we settled on a third. Only because the time was 01:00 and we had an early day.
While the room we chose was poor, it was better than the previous rooms.
It could be expected to have this poor of quality if the room was $30 per night but the charge was $110.
The "clean" towels provided were stained black and the room was frequently visited six legged monster cockroaches. The cockroaches seemed happy here but we weren't....we checked out in the morning.
If you come to Yogyakarta do not stay here, it is better to pay a taxi to drive you around all night (and cheaper) than to stay here.
One positive, they have wifi in the lobby to search for new hotels.
