Free breakfast! Cheap and comfortable hostel

Good value for money hostel. The free breakfast was a nice touch and we appreciated the bread provided which we could toast and have with margarine, chocolate sauce or jam. As it was raining the hostel also allowed us to borrow umbrellas and leave our luggage after checkout to explore the area

Stayed in a 4 person private room. As a 90kg,1.8m broad-shouldered man, the place is a little bit small but still cosy. Entry way to the private bathroom has a low beam which barely misses my head. Other than that, the room was very reminiscent of a traditional ryokan. Tatami and wooden flooring, futons etc.

Bunk beds not for older people

Overall a nice and cosy place to stay. Staff are friendly. Place is clean, attached bath is clean and even has a separate "drying" area. Common bath is clean with 2 showers.

Good hostel

Staff was friendly & introduced the facilities to me and showed me to my room, even though I checked really late at 11PM. Shared bathroom was clean and dry and available at every floor. Bed was comfortable, I had a good sleep here. When the windows of the dormitory are closed, it is completely at night, I had to use a torch to get to my bed. Wifi was poor in the room and the pantry, I had to use my own mobile data. On the day I checked out, I left a sweater on my bed, and called the hostel to keep it for me when I will collect in the evening, and they did so pleasantly.

no heater in toilet, clean room

There was no heater in the bathroom and it was quite cold during winter. Perhaps it'll be better to stay during summer as there is an outdoor bathtub connected to the room. The bed was hard and it was quite uncomfortable after a long day. There staff were very friendly and I like that there was a common area where you can mingle with the other travellers.

音漏れ注意

今回泊まった部屋は、エアコンが効かず暖房30度にしてても寒かったです…。 あと大きな鏡のあるお部屋でしたが、夜寝ているとピチャピチャと水の滴る音がして気持ち悪かったです。 あと共用キッチンの冷蔵庫がとても臭いです。 生物が腐った感じの匂いします。 それ以外は全く問題なく快適に過ごせました。
