Gorgeous property just accross the road to the shuttle bus services to get you to cradle mounatin. Cottage had everything we needed ( cooking, heating, comfy bed, views of the outdoors) easy parking , loved the whole experience here !!

This property is directly opposite the Welcome Centre for the park. We shared a toasty warm studio -rustic but absolutely adequate for our needs. Good selection of DVDs

A good place for animal lovers

Excellent communication with the cottage staff. We got to check in a bit earlier. Very friendly staff and cozy cottage. It has everything we need for a two night stay. Just step away from the visitor center, yet we were like in the wildness with wombat and wallaby and birds visiting. Excellent value for the price.

It was a lovely cabin with good facilities. Nice spa bath and the slow combustion heating was nice. A great base to come home and relax after a day walking at Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake. The resident wallabies and the birds were outside of our cabin, and we saw a wombat crossing the road.

The separate wood cabins put you as close to the local environment and nature as physically possible. It got down to 1 degree celcius on the night we stayed there and had great delight in keeping the fireplace stoked with wood. Cradle mountain can be viewed with a short walk from the cabin. Loved our stay here and only wish we had stayed an extra night.

One of the nicest stays my partner and I have ever experienced. Check in was super easy, very friendly and accommodating at reception. The location is brilliant, close to many things but still feel so secluded and cozy in your cabin lodge. The cabin itself had everything we needed, great heating, very comfortable bed and an adequate kitchen. We stayed for 3 nights and didn’t want to leave, highly recommend and will only stay at this location when returning to Cradle Mountain. Thank you again!

Within walking distance of the Cradle Mountain Visitor Information Centre the Highlander is ideally situated to explore Cradle Mountain. We did not need to use our car for the three days we were on the mountain. The timber cabin is cosy with great wood heater, comfortable bed, efficient kitchen and bench space. Surrounded by beautiful wilderness the cabin is a private and safe hideaway.

Excellent stay and wish I was able to stay longer

Sadly, only stayed for one night. Excellent appointed cottages with feeling of space within the trees and surrounding land. Quick.and easy check in, beautiful cottage with all amenities. I travel a lot and this is one of the best cottages I have ever stayed in. Top marks. Clean, comfortable, own gas fired fire, electric blanket on the bed. Beautifully appointed.

We stayed in Tallowwood cabin. It was 2 bedroom. Very spacious, had a spa bath. Full kitchen for self catering. A wonderful fire place that kept it warm and snug. Tucked in the bush so very quiet. A short walk to visitor centre for information and catch the bus to Dove Lake and other walks
