A very pleasant stay for our family. The team of staff here is a group of wonderful people. And we had the great experience of coming so close with Charli, the “resident wombat” here & also a few pademelons right infront of our cottage. This will be our accomodation again should we be travelling back here to the Cradle Mountains in future.

Awesome stay

It was an amazing experience at the cottage, witnessed snowfall and learnt how to use the manual fireplace! We arrived late at the cottage and was welcomed by a warm fireplace that was prepared in advance! Cradle mountain itself is no doubt fabulous with great sceneries. Will definitely return again in future. Cheers!

Cradle Mountain Oct 2018

Romantic and wonderful experience. Beautiful little cottages in a beautiful environment! Loved the wood-fired heater and all the wooden furniture... near cradle mountain attraction sites as well. Will definitely return!

It was indeed a unique experience staying at Highlanders. I would have booked another night if I do not have a tight schedule on hand. Love having marsupials visiting the accommodation at night. Highly recommended.

Cosy Cabin close to nature

Warm and cosy wooded cabin close to nature. When we checked in, it started to snow but we were warmly welcomed by a pair of wallabies. Liked the cabin which was mostly made of wood in the midst of trees. It's nice to get out of the buzz of city life to be amongst the trees and wildlife. The bedding were cosy and comfortable. The fire place in the living area keep us warm despite freezing temperatures outside. The kitchenette is fairly well equiped and we were able to make our own meals without the need to eat out for the duration of our stay. Only missing an oven which would otherwise allow us to make a nice pie or pizza. Would certainly choose this place again when I return to Cradle Mountain.

3 nights stay at Pandani and Tallow-wood

9 of us friends stayed at Pandani and Tallow-wood cottages. Both cottages are within a short walk to one another. The accommodations were much better than my friends had expected from the pictures shown. There were more than sufficient utensils and cutlery to cook 2 nights dinner. Washing machine and dryer were available at a charge. The staff were very helpful and provided us a trolley to ferry our luggages from the carpark to the cottages in the night. We only had an issue keeping the firewood burning at Tallow-wood overnight. Close to Information Centre to take a bus to Cradle Mountain trails. Highly recommended.

Beautifu cottage right in the middle of nature!

Beautiful and clean cottage. Staff were friendly and helpful! Overall, the cottage is clean and the beds are comfortable despite the smallness of the cottage. We woke up the next day and it snowed heavily the night before and the whole place was like winter wonderland! Possums came right to our door steps and we were amazed by how gentle and cute they were! First time so close up to wild possums! Amazing experience! I'll definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Cradle Mountain!

Lovely lodge!

The lodge is very pretty especially in the snow! Nice and clean, though a bit small in space. We had possums visiting us right at our door step which was an awesome experience! Highly recommended!

A cosy place .

Very nice stay

The location is closed to the cradle mountain visitor center. The place is quiet and we got to see a few pademelons visiting us everyday. There's kitchen facility with gas oven and grill. Laundry facility has to be arranged at the front desk at extra cost. The place is clean and spacious. Only negative thing was the creaking sound of the upstairs flooring.

The best accommodation of my trip in Tasmania

This place is simply fantastic! The atmostphere is good and the room is clean and spacious. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the bathroom is huge. The gas-fire kept us really warm. Even though they said the TV signal is not strong, but we did not encounter any problem at all. We stayed in 6 different places for our trip in Tasmania and this is the best of all! Really enjoyed staying here.

Hidden gem

We arrived past 6pm. The staff waited for us and was very friendly. The cottage was spacious and cosy. Heater was all set up and warm when we got there. a lovely place!

Highlanders stay

Great stay! You get little visitors during evening and refreshing to wake up in the morning to the sound of birds chirpping.. A great day to starts. The chalets are well equipped, warm and cosy. Throughly enjoyed my 2 nights stay.
