I am the corner unit next to the road. Traffic noise can be heard throughout the night for those who slept in the living room. Was quite surprised that the bed in the bedroom wasn’t make up next morning. The reason given was that the chambermaid did not want to move our luggages next to the bed.

We have 1 senior, 2 adult and 2 kids in a room as a family. Despite the website only allow us to book 4 per room we went ahead to book as it is close to redwood and te puia. Owner is very displease with us and scold us for booking when it only allow a maximum of 4 per room. We were apologetic as the point is valid but owner did not want to accept the apology and continue to rebuke us. We paid additional NZ$20 for additional pax which is pretty fair.

Mattresses are not comfortable.

The two queen-sized mattresses are not that nice to sleep on. To toss on the bed while sleeping is not that easy because have to use our weight to toss from left to right and vice-versa. Cannot even sleep near the edge if never balance properly may fall down. Perhaps the mattress are of a poor quality whereas what I have back home if we toss our partner does not feel the shakiness because it does not shake at all. Even if we put a glass of water it would not tumble. I bought the matress and bed frame in 2005 until now it is already been 10 years.

Was a great room, clean and the bed was super comfortable. The tub was good and the pool too but was closed for one day for cleaning. Kitchenette is so handy, and ensuite. BBq area was great too but too many rules, especially during summer and couldnt sit and talk after 9pm. No spa after 10pm, no swimming after 7pm, security every night. Would still go back if security didn't go past every half hour lol. Nice staff. We had police around one day for strange groups on the property, scared some families with small tamariki.

I loved that our parking was right outside our room. It was also really great to have a spa just for our room. There was only one issue with our stay and that was that the air conditioning was broken. To be fair we didn't end up saying anything as we were in and out of our room and by the time we came back to the room at night we couldn't be bothered.
