My husband and I stayed at the farm for our wedding anniversary. It was such an enjoyable experience. We stayed at the NutHouse up on the hill. It was a bit of a walk but worth it for a scenic view and a quiet getaway. This is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. 10/10 recommend.

When we arrived we were greeted by a very kind fellow on the front porch of the main house, (sorry I did not get his name) The cabin we stayed in was the Nuthouse, it was cozy , charming, inviting and clean. The owners keep it very well maintained. If you have the chance I can not recommend this location enough. its a bout a 30-35 min drive to Blowing Rock.

Very clean cabin with everything you need right in the cabin. Nice quiet getaway! The only 2 things that might hinder someone is the Shower was small, a large person would not have a lot of room. The 1 bedroom cabin I rented was a slight incline up a hill and an older person might have problems carry their stuff up to the cabin.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and made sure we completed the list of things to do upon our departure. However we were charged $40 because we accidentally dropped a cheap glass and it broke, and apparently a slightly dirty washcloth. Unreal! We left the place very clean after and we were extremely disappointed after this charge. We will no longer recommend this property to friends. I never leave reviews, but this really left a bad taste in my mouth!

Last minute getaway to the mountains

We had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed our tiny cabin. The hosts were nice and friendly and the place was very comfortable and exactly as described. We would definitely come back!

Fantastic!

Fantastic trip! Stayed 2 nights and wished we could stay longer! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The property was wooded and so quiet. We didn't expect to wake up to snow and feel like temp of 7 degrees, but the cabin was warm, cozy, and dry. Will definitely recommend to others and will be back! Thanks for the memories Bear Cabin!

What a neat little find! My son and I wanted to see snow and go tubing near the mountains. They have two really cool cabins so there’s a lot of privacy and a beautiful location in the forest. Highly recommend.

Tough to find. No sign just a street number. Tried calling with no answer just a non discript message on the phone. Had no idea that access to the cabin was a steep climb up a gravel path and half a flight of steps into the cabin. Once in the cabin it was nice and comfortable. We are in our 70's and if we knew that we wouldn't have booked this place.

Really enjoyed the Bear Cabin. Peaceful and quiet. It was well stocked, clean and comfortable. Even the fold out sofa bed was very comfortable! Highly recommend this place. Owner was super friendly too.
