Amazing place

This place is fantastic. The location, condition, staff, etc. were all perfect. Due to an emergency, we needed to open the lock on our suitcase, and a hotel employee not only brought tools but also personally helped us. The continuous attention and answers to questions were fabulous. We'll definitely stay here next time in Madrid. Congratulations!

Great location close to everything. Metro very near and easy to use. The unit was well stocked with lots of extras, i.e., qtips, cotton pads, shampoo, soap, hand sanitizer, etc. They even supply a reusable shopping bag, camera with instant film, blow dryer, washing machine, etc. If you need to store your luggage prior to check in or even after check out - they have a luggage locker. We were very comfortable and will definitely return to this location!! Excellent customer service!

Lovely find!

Really lovely apartment with all of the amenities you could need! The pre- check in info and instructions were all clear and we really enjoyed all the extra little touches in the room. Great location, just 15 min walk to Retiro park and 20 min walk into the hustle of the city centre

Beautiful place. The apartment is exceptionally clean, nice and big. Great communication. Nearby groceries and restaurants. Only problem was hot water ran out quickly, out of 5 people only 1 person was able to take a shower with hot water. My daughter had to sit inside the shower while waiting for the hot water. The water was dripping from the ceiling while my husband was sitting on the toilet.

The Bob W Apartment we stayed in was very good value was spacious, well appointed and included a well equipped kitchen. The location was excellent being close to the Metro and plenty of nearby dining options. Our only minor concern was the bed was uncomfortable and possibly needing to be replaced.

Room was very comfortable. Great shower and other facilities. Remote check in is not straightforward particularly without data access on my phone, lack of signage, language issues and after 26 hours on the plane. If I'd understood this at the time of booking, I would have probably stayed elsewhere. Otherwise our stay was comfortable.

We have two views on our November 2024 stay at Bob W in Madrid. On one hand, the apartment was clean, provided all the amenities needed, well laid out, and a great apartment for a few days stay in the city. On the other hand, the kitchen did not come with a spatula nor a cutting board - two essential items in any kitchen - and there was very little hot water for taking a shower. The worst was that Bob W kept texting us asking about our stay and how they could make it better but when we told them the issues the answer was “oh well”.

Loved the unique touches Bob W Arte had, like the tote bag and polaroid camera to take pics of your stay. Also found the washing machine and two detergent pods provided extremely convenient and useful (we did laundry twice!). They had a great assortment of dishes, wine glasses, pots and pans, and salt & pepper for cooking. We arrived 3 hours prior to check in and Lola was kind enough to store our luggage while we walked around and had brunch and then had our luggage taken to our room. Keyless entry was super conveninent and great not to have to worry about keys or cards to open the entrance or room. The best thing tho is probably the communication on whatsapp. Any little thing I messaged about, they were always so quick to respond and very helpful and accommodating with the requests I had. Would definitely stay at another Bob W. location in the future!

The apartment and the on-site employee (in a back room) were great, but... Problem #1. The hotel ignores messages. On June 10th I asked whether the building had a washing machine. No reply. On June 13th I sent a follow-up. Still no reply. So we re-organized our plans to allow several hours in a laundromat. Then we got to the apartment and it had a washing machine. Happy to have it, but annoyed that we needlessly wasted our time reorganizing our plans, all because the hotel couldn't be bothered to answer our question. Problem #2. The hotel's communications were insincere and annoying. They pretend they're being helpful and super cool, when really they're just cutting their costs. For example, when they say "We’re not fans of those awkward in-person check-ins, so we got rid of them" what they mean is that they're willing to make things more difficult for their guests in order to save the cost of a receptionist. If they just said "We want to provide a good apartment at the lowest possible price, so there's no reception desk" we'd be fine with that. Similarly, they urge their guests to "be kind to their fellow travellers" and "do their karma a favor" by saying if they're arriving late or leaving early, so other guests can have a late check-out or early check-in. But really the hotel just wants to charge those other guests 10€/hour for an early check-in or late checkout. In summary, the apartment was great — it's the management that's the problem.
