Sick of Resort Fees!

The Sunset Vistas was OK, and would possibly stay there again, but the room definitely could have been cleaner. There seems like there was mold on the lamp shade, dirty stove top, hair in the tub, to name a few things. Further, and I know this hotel is not unique, but the "resort fee" charge is ridiculous. $25 for essentially nothing except a towel. The have outsourced the beach chairs and umbrellas and the chairs are $10/ea and the umbrellas are $20/ea. If you are going to add a resort fee, do something to earn it. I have stayed at the Don Cesar down the road, and while there is a fee, at least they didn't charge you for a chair and umbrella. Some "marketing genius" must have thought of this and everyone followed suit. I hope it gets the backlash that Bud Light did with their marketing fiasco! My advise is to buy a chair and umbrella and on your last day there, give it to a family with kids on the beach, that is what we did.

Nice get away.

Rooms nicely accommodated. Bathrooms with modern renovation, but mold along perimeter grout line. Overall nice condo. Beautiful beach. Short walk to shopping and dining.

The condo needed a few small things fixed. They had to replace our thermostat. The master bathroom toilet wouldn't always flush. Overall the accommodations and view were nice. Would definitely come back.

We had a great stay… probably the best room we could have been given. The only concern was for the hotel itself and the ongoing repairs they are having to make due to the recent hurricane. This was probably the only reason the area and rooms were not as clean as usual… not the hotel’s fault

The property is pretty dated and not clean. Our unit could have used a deep cleaning, dusty lamp shades etc, dirty Q-tip in hallway, the sofa was covered in stains, shower light and oven vent light burnt out, closet door off track. Could hear the guests above us moving chairs.

It was a wonderful stay even after they were hit by the hurricane! They were accommodating for any wants or needs. Only complaint was our air didn't seem to work in our room but thankfully it didn't get too uncomfortable during the day (let me note we had a gulf side view so the sun was hitting our room most of day) We definitely want to go back someday with our two boys, in hopes that next time the beach bar will be running, pools will be warmed & more things will be open/reopened from the hurricane. It still was a wonderful vacation.

When booking the property there was no information provided saying “under condtruction” or “amenities closed”, etc. sadly the property is still under construction due to storms. It is a great spot! The pool was not heated. We came here for my daughters 10th birthday, girls trip just us two! She picked the location for the pool right by the ocean and the kid area. It also stayed there were bike rentals, beach bar, other amenities. Sadly, none of these are open, and my non-existent now. Our room didn’t appear to be used for a while and it’s almost like they started cleaning it then forgot they were cleaning it. All of the silverware were dirty, cups in cabinets not cleaned and the coffee still had old coffee in it that was extremely overtaken by mold. We were in the third floor directly across from the elevator. Unfortunately the elevator didn’t work to the third floor which was difficult with all of our gear and luggage. The paint was all peeling off from the cabinets, but we assume that’s a sad outcome from the hurricanes. Being from Maine and hoping for a Florida experience I wish we had booked somewhere else but truly would have loved an offering/credit to return another time when the amenities, at least the pool, are up and going. We didn’t have this offered. Beds were clean and comfortable, loved laundry on site. The only office/restaurant closes at 5 so you must go elsewhere for anything you need. I recommend a rental car - no bikes on site.

Perfect location!!

Location was amazing. Still getting cleaned up from hurricanes so some mess around and elevators not working all the way. Would go back for sure!!
