We loved staying at Casa San Francesco! The room is beautiful renovated and the location is absolutely perfect for walking around all the best places in Palermo. Amazing place to stay for the price point! Monica our host was also very helpful and kind. The only thing I would note is to be sure to read your email and submit your arrival info in advance if you are arriving on a weekend. As there is no front desk, we couldn’t even drop our bags off as I had not communicated my arrival time in advance and the host hours are limited on the weekends (no communication before 3PM). It was no problem though as we just hung out at a cafe nearby until we could get in touch.

Amazing rooms with kitchens if you need. Very clean and modern. The free breakfast and staff in the morning and the restaurant staff Al Fresco San Francesco were excellent. The restaurant food delicious and inventive in a tranquil courtyard. The property is very walkable. Overall excellent value for money and a great stay 5 stars. The only slight drawbacks are the front door to the old convent is a little difficult to find, the phone number to contact staff on the back of the room is not the correct number. The side alleys surrounding the property are run down and maybe seem too dark for a single woman but this is Palermo where the entire city is in similar condition. I do not hesitate to say it was a wonderful stay in a very central location only 10 minutes walk from the train station. Very affordable and very clean. The 1 st floor vending machines a bonus and kudos to great staff.
