Lovely area and a beautiful, clean condo! There was a bit of noise from the upstairs neighbors at times, but otherwise, it was a great stay—I’d definitely book again.

The location can’t be beat. Close the many restaurants and cafes. If you are a light sleeper bring some ear plugs as some nights can be loud.

The apartment was perfect for us (2 persons), it has the necessary amenities for the 8 days that we were there. The support the administrator and cleaning ladies gave was great. *The only down side is the communication before the travel was kind of difficult with the office that administers the property.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The apartment is super comfortable with a great layout and lots of natural light. The location is great - just barely outside the most touristy areas but a short bike or walk away from everything we wanted to do (there is an EcoBici station on the block and we used these bikes to get almost everywhere in CDMX). Some of the best restaurants and bars are within a couple blocks. The street is pretty quiet, tree-lined and felt very safe. When we visit CDMX again we would definitely consider coming back here!

Nice appartement , clean and modern. Be careful if you get the first floor unit, a lot of noises from the street, the front door and the elevator. The sheets were dirty and also the blanket.

This was my first time staying at Choapan 28, and overall it was a great experience. There were a few hiccups in the beginning—I didn’t receive my check-in emails 24 hours before arrival, and since it was my first time, I was a bit nervous. Thankfully, the cleaning staff on site were incredibly helpful and helped me get everything sorted out. We also had some issues with the door codes at first, but once that was resolved, everything went smoothly. The apartment was clean, safe, and in a perfect location—very walkable with great dining options, easy access to transportation, and a real local vibe. I’d definitely stay here again!

The property was in mostly good condition, but no lobby and zero communication - no responses to our texts or messages via expedia either. This led to us spending one morning hunting around for baggage storage as we got to the hotel early. It is just another ge-ntrifier trying to rent out an apartment to unwitting foreigners and putting in minimal effort. Find a hotel nearby instead.

Overall cleanliness. Everything worked - all electric and electronic appliances. Water was constant with good pressure. Hot water was instant hot. The apartment had all the basic necessities one would expect, like refrigerator, small electric stove, coffee maker, cutlery, dishes, pots and pans, even a wine opener. It's close to a plethora of dining options.

The stay in Choapan 28 is excellent. The room itself is spacious and clean. The hosts were communicative and ensured that we had an amazing time in the property. The area is surrounded by multiple small restaurants that offered great variety of food. The area is safe to walk to even at night. Overall, we had a great at Choapan 28, however, there was an incident on our last night where 2 guests accidentally entered our room. There was probably a mixup on the hosts end and the new guests which caused the confusion. I hope this issue gets fixed since it can be a security issue for future guests.

Great stay—slightly slow communication

I can’t compare this place to other places in Mexico City as it was our first time, but it was clean, felt safe, and had most everything we needed. It was smaller, though, than we were expecting. We did have to ask for another set of sheets for the couch, and getting those took a few attempts. Just know that you won’t get a response from them through the hotels app—you have to download whats app and message them that way. Even then they take a little bit of time to respond. They stored our bags for us when we checked out so we could explore the city a bit more before our flight which was nice, but we had to wait 15 minutes to get our bags when we came to retrieve them—again, the response time is a little slow. Another nice thing is there is a farmacia and an oxxo right at the end of the block so if you need anything from there, it’s close. Condesa is a great neighborhood!

Very nice, new apartment in cool neighborhood

We stayed in here for one week and would definitely recommend it. Nice apartment in leafy Condesa neighborhood. Great hot water and pressure in the shower. Wifi download speed around 50mbs. Super convenient location a few minutes from well-connected subway station (Patriotismo). Very nice night security guard. Convenient keyless entry. Amazing taco stand (Mon-Sat) on a corner down the street. Some things that could have been better: the bed mattress was a little laid through on one side, which made it unevenly soft. On Friday night there was very loud music in the neighborhood (until about midnight). The wifi password was not displayed anywhere in the apartment, so we had to contact the property management company to get it from them. Luckily, we didn't need to work remotely right when we arrived, or that would have been quite inconvenient. So, we recommend you just ask for it before arrival.

Wow, this stay exceeded my expectations. It was my first time booking an apartment-style hotel with a virtual front desk, so I was a bit nervous. The night before check-in, I tried to reach out for the buzz code since the confirmation email said the entrance codes would be sent within 24 hours—but I hadn’t received anything, and there was no response on WhatsApp either, which worried me. Fortunately, the next morning during their business hours, I got a reply and received all the necessary codes. From that point on, everything went smoothly. The value is amazing—you get a full suite with a kitchen (even though we didn’t use it, it was nice to have, lol), not just a standard hotel room. Staff were also friendly and helpful—they helped us store our luggage after checkout. Tip based on my experience: The best way to reach them is through WhatsApp during their business hours—they respond quickly then. I’ll definitely come back to Mexico City (because I absolutely loved it!) and would happily stay here again.

Absolutely awful experience – stay away

We had one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had here. The property never sent check-in instructions. Only after we reached out did someone respond—and only via WhatsApp, not through Hotels.com. Even worse, the access code they gave us was wrong. We were locked out for hours and only gained entry at 2am, after several unanswered messages. There is no concierge or reception, just a WhatsApp number that’s only monitored between 10am and 4pm. If you need help outside those hours, good luck. Things got even worse at checkout. Not only were they unaccommodating, but they actually sent cleaners into our room an hour before checkout, trying to kick us out early. Completely unprofessional. To top it off, when we contacted Hotels.com for help, their customer service was shockingly unhelpful. Instead of resolving the issue, they pushed us to switch to a cheaper hotel in a random part of town, with no concern for our safety or preferences. The agents were pushy and dismissive, offering no real solution. We booked through Hotels.com expecting a vetted property and reliable support—neither delivered. As a Silver member, this was incredibly disappointing. Avoid this property, and think twice about relying on Hotels.com if something goes wrong.
