We spent four great nights at the NH Hotel in Portimão. The half board option included a high quality buffet breakfast and dinner that our kids loved. The hotel’s location was excellent— close to the beach and marina where many excursions start. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. A relaxing family getaway we’d happily repeat. Highly recommended!

Great location beside the marina and the beach. Easy access to the main street of the resort via the steps of the old fort. Ideal quiet location but close to all the bars and restaurants. Very good breakfast. Only complaint would be the prices of the pool bar compared to the resort. Very relaxing.

The hotel was very worne down, the pictures did not show that. The breakfast was not good at all and the pool bar was expensive. Thus, the service was great - everyone was really helpful and kind. No were near the hotel to have a good meal, thus with a 10 min ride by uber to Alvor there were a lot of restaurants and bars with great food.

Overpriced and underwhelming stay

Loved Portimao, and especially the beach, a lot more than this hotel. A standard room by charter hotel standards, very basic. If you prefer not to walk you can be driven around in a golf car. Staff not that smiling or friendly. Breakfast was okay, with a moderate selection - I missed having more healthy options. Overall, I expected better value for the money. This was the most expensive hotel per night on our trip, yet it delivered the least.
