Okay property

Overall it was alright. The location was decent, but in the description it says there’s wifi - there was not. You literally have to hang off one side of the toilet because the claw tub is so close to it. There were bugs everywhere….I guess the cabin lived up to its name. We decided to leave a day early because we got tired of fighting the bugs….a few are understandable, but this was overwhelming. The hot tub was alright, but there were a bunch of leaves in it. I’m pretty sure I killed a black widow that was chilling on the broom. The pool was nice, clean. The restroom was a different story. This was our first cabin experience so I don’t have anything to compare it to besides a hotel. But from what I did experience, I wouldn’t stay there again.

Not updated, but ok

There was lots of drywall damages that were partially repaired, but not painted. A previous guests socks were left on the deck and there were lots of crumbs and several children's toys left in the couch cushions. It was nice to have a hot tub, but we never could find the light switch to turn on the deck lights. Thankfully we brought an electric lantern. There was only one frying pan, and 2 glasses so be sure to bring your own kitchen ware if you are planning to cook. The remote to the living room tv was missing so we were unable to use that tv. The cabin was also on a very steep hill and it was a 45 degree angle to turn into the driveway. The cabin is also leased by a cabin company and requires more paper work upon arrival with lots of potential extra fees.

Alot of wildlife

We had a great time. But we had a lot of wildlife in the cabin as well as outside. We had ants in the upstairs bathroom, we had a bat in the living area and up stairs they could not find. We spiders. And a mystery animal under the cabin that sounded like it was coming up through the floor in the middle of the night.

An Honest review.

I want to give some honest feedback so that maybe other renters will have a much better experience. I rented a bit of Heaven , a small cabin in the mountains thru vrbo. That process was great! We got to the office to check in and our rental was not ready. We checked in and drove to the property. Upon arrival the driveway was horrible. In fact my husband whom was driving very slow, slid off of the driveway into a huge stump that should be removed. It damaged my vehicle. Then we finally received our email with the code. While reading the email we discovered there is absolutely NO Internet at this cabin. Then we enter the cabin and there are phones but a letter by the phones stating that they do not work and we possibly might get one bar is we walk out to the outhouse. ( an actual outhouse but for looks im assuming) Which we did even one bar. We actually had No service until about 1 1/2 miles down the road. The cabin was cute and very private. The hot tub was a nice distraction. There was spider webs every where. The mattress on both beds were VERY out dated and caused for a horrible night sleep. There was No samples of diahwashing liquid or cubes for the dishwasher. We ran out of clean towels. I went to wash a load of towels and we had to purchase laundry detergent. I went to load the towels in the dryer only to find out the dryer did not work. We could not contact the management due to no service. So with all of this being said , if you enjoy quite time and want to unplug from the world then this would be perfect for you. If the owner updates the beds , cable, internet, and remove the stump, I would rate a 5 star!

Long Weekend Away

At first we were a little concerned with the location, but it was just a short drive to everything we needed, the cabin was clean, but the deck was a little green with mildew and slightly slick when damp, but it is to be expected when you have a cabin in the woods out of the direct sunlight. The tub down stairs was very retro cool but we didn't use it, I'm a big guy and found it to interfere with my using the toilet, but the upstairs bathroom was completely adequate and meet every need. The cabin did not have internet service and our cellular service with Verizon did not work for calls, but we could send and receive text messages if we left our phones in the kitchen window. The hot tub was great and we used it every night after hiking during the day to ease some sore muscles. We utilized the charcoal grill and the entire kitchen, ate in every meal and packed our lunches for excursions. Neighboring cabins are stone's throw close but the foliage and the orientation of the driveways and street gives you a lot of privacy. Our only negative observation is the driveway down to the cabin is steep, if snow or ice is expected then it would definitely be treacherous to enter or leave. . Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return and recommend in a heartbeat.

No phone & $100 overcharged

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I'm all for a retreat out in the woods to take a relaxing moment to enjoy nature. However, it makes me a little uncomfortable when even the land line is not working... no cell phone service, no texting, no internet... so if you have an emergency here, you're out of luck. Also, when we were leaving, the key box would not go back into place. Instead of just leaving it laying on the front porch (as many would do), we went 25 minutes back to the rental office to make sure they received the keys. There were no instructions on how to operate this box and apparently you had to hit two or three secret buttons to get it to work. We received no information about this. We were told we would have to take this back to the property (which is way out a windy, steep mountain road and way out of our way). We had already come out of our way to return the keys! You're welcome! ... So, we were charged $100 to return the keys to the office - because we received no instructions on how to place the keys back in the box... We will never stay here again.

During the day and night all you hear is the running creek beside the cabin. It was great while sitting in the hot tub at night. The driveway to the cabin is VERY steep, thankfully we came during sunny weather and not snow. The only downfall to our stay was there was NO cell service at all, this was with Verizon as well. No WiFi either in the cabin because of its location. All in all if you like peace and quiet and being out of touch with the world, this is the best pick!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very excited for a nice getaway in the Mountains. We visit Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg a few times a year. This was somewhat a last minute trip & we settled on "A Bit of Heaven". The directions to the cabin were horrible, they told you to go the wrong way up one way streets, said the drive was on the opposite side of the road than it actually is. I eventually after making 3 loops had to get out & walk down driveways with a flashlight to even find the cabin. Once unpacked we realized there was ZERO cell service or wifi. Now to some that may be ok, but with kids & their electronics it would be nice to know you were going to spend 3 days in a "dead zone". The cleaners eft the hose running in the hot tub to the point of it overflowing. I had to go under the cabin to cut the water off. Then we couldn't get the hot tub to turn on. I reported it the next day, & they had it drained some & turned on, however it was still too cold to even get in the second night. I would compare the water pressure in the showers to literally pouring water out of a cup. There is also a strong sewage smell outside the front door where I assume the septic is overflowing. There was a murky water running out of it that was killing all the grass it ran over. Overall we were very dissatisfied, and won't be renting again.

Not a place for the family

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience from day one was not up to expectations. Day 1 we checked in only to be informed that we would have no hot water and “someone” would be at our cabin to fix it. I asked the lady at the desk if she knew a time that this “someone” would be there to fix it and her reply was no and this happens all the time. We didn’t want to leave our belongings in the cabin knowing someone would be there repairing the hot water heater. Trying to locate the cabin after the 4 o’clock check in was a nightmare. The directions given was not clear so we ended up driving around in the dark looking for the cabin. Finally get inside only to find this place is dirty. Dust is and inch thick on everything. I’m severely allergic to dust and mold and this place had not been dusted in months. The internet listing did not explain that this cabin has no internet and you have to walk up a hill just for cell phone service. Note: this cabin needs warnings to let guest know that you will need a proper vehicle just to make the drive to the cabin. We ended up leaving 2 days early because of the snow and ice because we were not informed that we would need a 4 wheel drive to make it up the mountain not to mention even making it down the driveway. Our overall experience with this has been very disappointing. This was our family vacation and probably our last because our son will be headed off to college. The worst vacation spot ever, expensive and not all information disclosed. Scam of a company

Pretty cabin - tricky location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin itself is delightful - surprisingly roomy and cosy at the same time. The cast iron tub was a very nice touch. For the price, it was a very good deal. The only downside was the location - mainly due to the roads to it, which I realize is not something you can control. However, it is worth warning guests that once on the Brothers resort, there are narrow, winding, steep roads still to go. We were in a mid-sized car, so not overly wide or long, yet in those road conditions (to be clear - it was a dry, warm evening) it often felt like we would go off the side and down the steep slopes. The last turn into this particular cabin rental is hair-pin and steep. The road down and back out from the rental - steep. Twice a day we felt like we were taking our lives into our hands. More road markers all along the route in and perhaps a specific note of the grade % would warn people like us that this is not a good choice. It was genuinely scary. Pity - because the cabin was a darling.

It was a good thing we took a jeep with us or we might not have made it out of the driveway though. That should be mentioned online when you're looking at the cabin. Other than that it was a perfect getaway.
