Apartamento muy amplio, con tres terrazas y una terraza. Gran entrada, comedor de dos habitaciones, amplia cocina. Fotos antiguas de aceite, conexión Wi-Fi gratuita, muebles bonitos y en parte antiguos, baños de lujo, hasta siete personas para quedarse cómodamente. Cualquier equipo electro listo. Segundo piso, ascensor, solo un (1) escalón en la puerta (entrada del edificio). El área (rionr) es Monte Verde Vecchio, en la cima de la colina Janiculum, con antiguos monumentos maravillosos y las mejores vistas de Roma. Todo tipo de instalaciones en la calle del apartamento. Bien comunicado pero muy cerca del centro y de la ciudad de San Pedro y el Vaticano.

This is our second stay at Maurizio’s outstanding apartment Maurizio is a truly wonderful host - from the moment we were collected from Trastevere station we felt that it was a home from home. This will certainly be our go to place when we return to Rome in the very near future. Thank you Maurizio and Melena for looking after us so well again.

Upon arrival, our host met us, helped with all of our luggage and the took us by car around the area pointing out key sites along with some background. There is a bus stop right in front of the apartment building and other routes just a few blocks away. The taxi stand was only a few block away. With so much to see and do in Rome it was wonderful to come back to the apartment and relax on the balcony away from all of the crowds. We really enjoyed our stay.

Dottore Rosati is an outstanding host. He provided wonderful tours of the neighbourhood, and excellent recommendations for eating and shopping. He is a very learned and cultured man, and he helped us immensely with our Italian. You cannot stay in a finer apartment. It is fully equipped with all the necessities. The neighbourhood is delightful and we became regulars at a number of establishments. We never heard an unkind word, and everybody was very patient with us as we tried to use our Italian. The buses take you to most of the major sites in Rome. One of them stops outside of the home. All in all, an exception experience.

Great short stay

This was a large property which felt more like a home than a holiday let but it was ideal for our short stay in this fantastic city. Our host Maurizio met us at the local station, took us on a tour of the area and made some good recommendations for places to eat and how to get about. He also shared lots of history of Rome. This was a great place to stay for our first visit to Rome

Our host was incredibly helpful and informative and even took us to a restaurant on the first night, as we arrived late. The apartment is large, light and elegant with all the facilities needed for a very comfortable and safe stay. We loved to walk everywhere and the route to the Vatican is really pretty and takes just over 30 minutes.

Fabulous apartment in wonderful neighborhood

Very large super clean apartment in quiet safe neighborhood. Owner was extremely helpful and friendly. Bus stop is about 10m from apartment. Grocery store nearby. Fully stocked kitchen. Could not have been better.

Six Wonderful Weeks in Rome

Based on previous reviews and our requirements, my husband and I decided on this property for our six-week stay in Rome. We were not disappointed. It is very spacious, as described, and in a wonderful location with easy access to shops, cafes, and groceries. Several busses support the area and the bus that stops at the Rome termini train station is only a few steps away. The owner is an excellent host. Although we declined his generous offer to pick us up at the local train station (not termini), he met us at the building, showed us around the unit and the neighborhood. I don't think that you will be disappointed if you decide to stay in this property.

Great location and huge apartment with air conditioning

Rome was so hot and humid while we were there. The apartment had three air conditioners and they worked great. We like it very cool and this apartment did not disappoint. The location is fabulous. Great restaurants a block away and grocery store nearby. The owner is wonderful. He took us in his car and showed us the surrounding area. He met us at our act on arrival and helped with our luggage. We WILL stay here again when returning to Rome.

Amazing Gem in Rome

Amazing gem in Rome. Spacious, clean, and in a convenient actual Roman "neighborhood" located between Trastevere and the Vatican. Not many tourists in Gianicolo. Couldn't ask for a better host than Maurizio. He's extremely kind, and gracious. Can't wait to rent this property again.

Perfect Rome getaway!

My best friend and I were delighted to find an apartment with two bathrooms and two bedrooms! The property was immaculate, cozy and well stocked ( linens and kitchen tools) Location is just far away from hustle of the heart of Rome but not too far as we walked to explore the city. Maurizio is simply amazing! His knowledge of Rome is unsurpassed and his recommendations for restaurants and bars and bakeries were more than accurate! He was quick to respond to any questions, help and request. I would gladly rent this apartment again ( amazing balcony for early evening drinks or breakfast!) and be more than happy to see Maurizio!

Fantastic Property and Owner

This property was wonderful! Maurizio kept in touch with us after our flight landed in FCO, making sure that we got on the train and exited at the proper station. He met us at the station, took us to the apartment, let us settle in for a bit and then took us on a tour of the neighborhood. He was so attentive and friendly! We loved the location as it was close to shops and groceries. We spoke to other travelers when we were on tours and they all commented about how noisy it was at night. Not here! Very peaceful and residential, but close to the sight seeing attractions. If we ever go to Rome again, I will be planning our dates around the availability of this property. I wouldn't even consider staying some where else. Thank you for making such an enjoyable vacation for us!!

Fabulous

Maurizio was a wonderful host and the apartment was larger than the photos indicate and someplace to which we would happily return. We were there in the winter and it was warm and the beds are oh so comfortable. Maurizio met us at the train and took us for a tour and showed us where everything was. Taxis, Groceries, Restaurants are all a short walking distance. Two resources we found, for volume laundry White Cloud Launderette, Vicolo del Governo Vecchio, 53 in Rome was wonderful. We dropped our clothes off in the morning and that afternoon they were clean folded and the people were so friendly. Trastavere has an excellent restaurant district. One of the streets were Vicolo Del Cinque. The Taxis will know where you want to go. We had a grand time and this apartment and Maurizio were all part of the package.

Quiet, big and luxuory apartement

We stayed for 12 days in this very nice appartment full of old paintings and books. The location ist just above Trastevere and there are two busses (nr. 75 and 44) and a nearby railway station (Quattro Vinty) to go into town. Best is to buy seperate tickets (€1.50) for for bus and train for travelling about 1.5 hour anywhere in Rome. The owner Maurizio is very helpfull and even show you with his car the neighbourhood. Best best is to have lunch/diner in one of the varous restaurants in de direct surrounding f.e. Salvia direct around the corner. When eating in the very touristic and crowding area of Trastevere be very carefull when ordering the food. There are several trucs to let you pay about 50% more then prices on the menu cards. The trucfull waiters ask you when f.e. ordering a peace of meat (Salimbocca f e ) if you want potatos or salat. And be aware the potatos/salat are all extra like the plaid on the table and sometimes VAT is added. So take your time when studying the menucard and don't let yourself pressed by the waiter to order a drink just after having sitting down... Just around the corner is also a daily lively streetmarket with several food and vegetable stands in case you want to coock your own meal in the good equipped kitchen and eating itnon the nice quiet terrace of this elegant apartment!

A great place to stay!

Our host, Maurizio is an excellent communicator, from making the reservation several months in advance of our arrival, and throughout our entire two-week stay. The apartment is as beautiful as described, well-appointed with every convenience as stated in the listing. The Monteverde neighborhood has everything one would want or need, from pizza shops to upscale restaurants. There is a daily open-air market nearby with fruits, vegetables, meats, and more. There are good quality supermarkets, coffee shops, bars, and gelaterias. The neighborhood is also well-connected to the transportation system with multiple bus lines that go the major historical and religious sites intersecting with other bus lines, trams, and railroad. That said, be aware that the apartment is located in a hilly area of Rome, but the Number 75 bus stops virtually at the entrance of the building. After a full day of sightseeing including a lot of walking, it is nice to ride back up the hill instead of climbing it! A conscientious, intelligent and friendly host, Maurizio made time to pick us up and drop us off at the Trastevere train station, and showed us the highlights of Monteverde. We even spent a couple of hours just talking over coffee, and we greatly appreciate the genuine interest and attention he provides his guests. We will definitely visit again, and hope to bring some additional family members with us next time. To summarize, Maurizio is a helpful host, with a fabulous apartment in an upscale family-friendly neighborhood.

Der Empfang und die kleine Führung durch das Viertel durch Mauricio waren ein super Start in unseren Urlaub. Die Ferienwohnung ist super, sowohl von Lage und Anbindung an den ÖPNV her als auch von Größe und Ausstattung. Wir haben wegen des schönen Wetters die Balkone sehr genossen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die großzügige Wohnung in Monteverde Vecchio ist ein perfektes Domizil für einen längerfristigen Aufenthalt in der ewigen Stadt. Für das Objekt sprechen: die Lage im Stadtteil mit bester Infrastruktur (tägl. offener Markt, Banken, Caffès, Pizzerien, Restaurants) die fußläufige Nähe (ca. 20Min.) zum centro storico, Vatikan, Villa Doria Pamphilj, die gute Anbindung an das öffentliche Verkehrsnetz, die Ausstattung, besonders der Hauptbalkon gen Westen und die Anpassung des Mietpreises an die Anzahl der Mieter. Maurizio ist seinen Mietern sehr zugewandt, stets hilfsbereit und sehr daran interessiert, dass sich seine Gäste wohlfühlen.

Lovely old fashioned apartment in local quiet neighbourhood

Maurizzio was a communicative and generous host, meeting us at the property upon arrival despite the late hour. The apartment is well located, very large and comfortable. The decor might not be to all tastes but it feels authentic and the place is very clean. Highly recommended as a base for exploring Trastevere and the rest of Rome 😎

Die Wohnung war für uns eine gute Wahl!

Eine geräumige Wohnung in ruhiger Lage und mit einem angenehmen Wohnklima. Ein zuvorkommender Vermieter, der uns an der Stazione Roma Trastevere persönlich abgeholt hat und uns erst einmal die nähere Umgebung gezeigt hat. Gute Lage mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Pizzarien, Bars und einem Wochenmarkt in der unmittelbaren Nähe. Gute Verkehrsanbindung mit zwei Buslinien und Umsteigemöglichkeit in die Straßenbahn Richtung Piazza Venezia sowie dem Regionalzug ab Bahnhof Quattro Venti (300 m) um z.B. schnell zum Vatikan zu kommen.

Wohnen, einkaufen, essen und trinken wie echte Italiener

Bei der Suche nach der Unterkunft war es uns wichtig, eine typische klassische römische Wohnung in einem typischen römischen Viertel nicht weit vom Zentrum zu finden. Wir wollten das echte italienische Leben kosten, wie Italiener wohnen, einkaufen, essen und trinken. Das ist uns voll mit dem Apartment und der Lage gelungen. Am Tag der Ankunft hat Maurizio uns eine mini Tour durch das Viertel angeboten und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten von Janiculum-Aussichtsterassen gezeigt, Dadurch haben wir die erste Orientierung gewonnen und festgestellt, dass man zu Fuß vieles. erreichten kann. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr geräumig, alte Gemälde an den Wänden, unheimlich viele Bücher an unzähligen Regalen, viele Balkone mit Sitzmöglichkeiten. Die Küche ist wunderbar ausgestattet, es gibt sogar Zucker, Kaffee, Kakao, Gewürze und vieles mehr. Das Wasser aus dem Wasserhahn hat laut Maurizio gute Trinkqualität. In der nächsten Umgebung gibt es hübsche Bars zum Frühstücken oder ein Gläschen trinken, unterschiedliche Restaurants, ein Wochenmarkt und 2 Supermärkte, einer davon hat eine große Auswahl an frischem Fisch, Fleisch und Käse. Sehr empfehlenswert! Maurizio als Gastgeber ist klasse, wir blieben den ganzen Aufenthalt in Verbindung, er hat immer gute Tips gegeben und war insgesamt ein wunderbarer Gastgeber.

Christmas in a Roman neighbourhood

We stayed at this property for 12 nights in December, 2019. From initial contact with the owner to our departure, our impression has been extremely positive. Contact was easy, questions were answered promptly, the owner arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport, and he and his wife were at the property to greet us when we arrived. Because it was Christmas, they had provided some typical Italian seasonal baking, and the owner gave us a two-hour historical and practical tour of the neighbourhood, showing us some of the major sites of this historic city as well as the grocery store, restaurants, drugstore, bank, etc. We loved his enthusiasm for his city! The photos on the VRBO site represent the apartment very well. It is exceptionally large, with a very generous living-dining room, two large bedrooms each with its own bathroom, wide hallway, and very well thought-out kitchen. With balconies on three sides and large windows, the overall impression is of a bright, spacious, clean and welcoming space. Beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped and the dishwasher and washing machine were appreciated. The property is in a quiet though central residential area of the city, and we enjoyed the neighbourhood very much. Many of the major historic sites of Rome are on the opposite side of the Tiber, but taxis are readily available and surprisingly cheap, and for those who enjoy walking, everything is reachable on foot. We have rented through VRBO in several US states as well as in Germany, and this property is one of the best we have experienced - generous size and overall condition, equipment and furnishings, and warm and welcoming hosts. Highly recommended in all respects.
