Originalmente la casa de autobuses para la granja Hanley, esta propiedad individual se convirtió en una cómoda casa de vacaciones para hasta 4 personas en 2003. Se acaba de renovar a un alto nivel listo para que lo disfrute.
Está situado a solo 3 millas al suroeste del centro de la ciudad medieval de Shrewsbury, en una zona rural al borde del pequeño pueblo de Hook-a-gate, que cuenta con un buen pub local, The New Inn.
Hay fácil acceso a las principales redes de carreteras, A5, A49, A458, y al hermoso paisaje circundante con numerosos senderos públicos. Buen acceso por carretera a las colinas de South Shropshire, Ironbridge y Gales.

Short Break

Lovely property in a lovely setting. Quiet and rural but easy to get to. There's a great walk you can do right from the property which takes in woods, river and views. The owners have really thought of everything you could need and are very helpful and friendly. Would be very keen to stay here again.

The property is in tip top shape. Description was spot on. Hosts were very helpful and kind. They left us eggs, milk, butter and bread for our first morning. We were able to travel out for day trips very easily

Long weekend near Shrewsbury

We were 2 couples and enjoyed our stay immensely. Shrewsbury was easy to get to and the house was perfect with lots of character with 2 bathrooms upstairs and a downstairs WC. It was immaculately clean and the mattresses very comfortable. We were given lovely toiletries and a welcome pack with eggs butter milk biscuits and bread! The owners were extremely helpful and friendly too and we enjoyed meeting Willow too. We would definitely stay there again.

Good place to stay

We were made very welcome by the owner. It is well situated with easy access to Shrewsbury and the surrounding countryside. From the cottage there are several easy walks without the need of taking the car. A good welcome pack, with the added bonus of being able to pick fruit from the trees in the garden. Would recommend the cottage to anyone who wants a peaceful stay in the country.

Lovely Cottage!

This cottage,set in a lovely location just a couple of miles from the centre of Shrewsbury, has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Nora and Simon are really attentive hosts who live next door, but are never intrusive. We enjoyed regular visits from the lovely old Labrador, Willow! Very clean, with comfy beds in both bedrooms. Kitchen is well equipped if you want to eat in. We got a taxi into Shrewsbury for dinner one evening and it was only £10 each way- lovely places to eat in Shrewsbury. Highly recommend The Armoury on the river. We sadly only got chance to have drinks in the local pub, but it was a really nice place with friendly clientele and a well kept garden. The gardens and grounds outside the cottage are beautiful and there is a lovely enclosed summerhouse to sit in as well as nice outdoor furniture. Plenty of room in the cottage for four adults, we had a really great stay!!

Lovely Little House

Really enjoyed staying in this charming little house near Shrewsbury. The house is incredibly clean and welcoming. It is surrounded by beautiful flower gardens and is very cozy. We appreciated the owner's wonderful hospitality.

Lovely break

Last minute decision to get away for a couple of days. Excellent communication from the owners. On arrival the property was lovely and warm and a beautiful welcome basket of goodies with their home grown eggs! Made to feel very welcome. First visit to Shrewsbury, a beautiful place,well worth a visit. Would highly recommend staying at this property. Thank you ☺️

Fabulous

We had a lovely stay at the most comfortable Coach House, one of the Hanley Cottages. Nora and Simon were great hosts. Finding the house and check in was very easy, and the location is great. We were delighted to find a lovely welcome hamper including eggs from the resident hens, and a tasty home made sponge cake. The house facilities were very good. Everything that we needed in the kitchen and the bathrooms, and a comfy bed too. We took the opportunity to visit Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and Ludlow, as well as some of the Ironbridge museums. All easily accessible from the Coach House. We also walked up to the local pub for a meal one evening which we would recommend. There is so much to do in this area that we hope very much to return next year.

Quality Cozy Cottage

We were greeted on arrival by the owner. We were welcomed in the property with a hamper and freshly baked cake. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything that you would need. You could tell the quality of the furnishings. Thick comfortable beds gives a good night's sleep. Beautiful views across the garden and surrounding hills. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay again. Thank you very much

Our stay at the Coach House, Hanley Cottages.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable cottage with all you would ever need from implements and appliances in the kitchen, to games, books and T.V. in the lounge and towels, linen and complementary toiletries ( including toilet rolls) in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Lovely welcome hamper including a home made cake, and cottage all set in an amazing garden. The New Inn dining pub was only 10 minutes walk away with great food. Nora and Simon ( and Willow the dog) were great hosts and thought of everything. I had an accident while we were out walking and had a lovely email from Nora wishing me well once I got home. Would highly recommend to others..

A superb cottage in a stunning setting

We loved our stay at Nora and Simon's cottage. Lovely details like the hamper and toiletry packs made the place even more special. It was roomy and very comfortable, providing plenty of space for 4 adults including on the private outdoor patio. The kitchen was one of the best equipped we have had in a cottage stay. The location is great for sites around Shropshire and into Wales. A wonderful cottage that is highly recommended.

Hello, we are Nora & Simon Richards and have lived at Hanley House since 1993. This used to be the farmhouse associated with a large farm. A few farm buildings close to the house remain, of which two are of traditional brick and tile, but were in a very sorry state.
One was the Coach House with hay loft and stable and the other was a workshop/smithy with a granary above. We decided to develop these as purpose designed holiday cottages, which became available from 2005 and have ever since provided enjoyable breaks for people from all over the world !
We run the cottages ourselves and also look after the gardens, which are often commented upon by our visitors. We get great satisfaction from reading our visitors' comments and we are delighted that 5 star ratings are the norm !

The cottage is a converted farm building specifically designed as a holiday let. For over 15 years it has been very popular and rated highly by our many visitors. It is a quiet location away from the main road with easy and quick access to major road networks. Shops only about 5 minutes away.
