La Casetta di Castell'Anselmo, I Gelsi

El apartamento I Gelsi se distribuye en dos plantas.
La planta baja se compone de un hall de entrada, una sala de estar grande y cómoda con chimenea, un comedor, un estudio (con TV, reproductor de DVD y estéreo), una cocina totalmente equipada con chimenea y un baño de visitas.
El luminoso salón cuenta con muchas ventanas francesas que dan al jardín. El primer piso está compuesto por una habitación doble con baño, dos habitaciones dobles cada una con baño privado (una con bañera de hidromasaje y otra con ducha), una pequeña sala de estar con sofá cama (tamaño francés cuando está abierto) y una entrada independiente a la que se accede desde una escalera exterior. El apartamento es extremadamente encantador, con muebles principalmente antiguos y comodidades modernas.

Wunderbar!

Das Anwesen steht auf einem Hügel mit schöner Aussicht auf die Umgebung. Das Haus war sauber und gut eingerichtet. Der 16m lange Swimmingpool umgeben von blühenden Oleandern war wunderschön. Frederica ist eine zuvorkommende, nette und hilfsbereite Vermieterin. Wir können einen Aufenthalt bei ihr empfehlen.

Wundervolles Anwesen mit phantastischem Blick in die Toskana

Der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Haus ist wirklich großzügig und vollständig und mit schönen alten Möbeln eingerichtet. Wir würden das Ferienhaus jederzeit weiter empfehlen. Der Blick von der Terrasse in die Landschaft ist so schön, dass wir uns gar nicht daran satt sehen konnten. Der Pool liegt etwas abseits und hat eine gute Größe. Die Kinder haben dort viel gebadet. Einzig die Sauberkeit in der Küche und teilweise in den Badezimmern war nicht optimal. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit und haben uns eine angenehme Zeit bereitet.

Fantastic house with beautiful views.

We had a fantastic stay at I Gelsi. Very big and comfortable house with stunning views over Tuscany. The pool was also very welcome in the heat. Federica was an excellent host. We even went paragliding which was amazing. Would love to go back one day!!

Formidable!

Nous avons été absolument séduit par cette location, superbe, spacieuse, fidèle à l'annonce. Située en haut d'une colline, au calme, entourée d'oliviers et de cigales, c'est idéal pour le repos et la détente. Le léger vent presque permanent (ou était-ce une semaine exceptionnelle?) fait que la chaleur est vraiment relative, et la maison reste fraîche ce qui permet de bonnes nuits de sommeil. Nous avons découvert la magnifique Toscane (Pise, Lucca, Sienne, Florence...) grâce notamment aux conseils avisés de la propriétaire Federica, toujours disponible, chaleureuse, accueillante, souriante! Quand nous avons posé la question à nos 4 enfants âgés de 10 à 19 ans, de savoir s'ils avaient aimé nos vacances, ils ont tous répondu sans hésiter que "c'était bien mieux qu'une semaine en Grèce en all inclusive !", c'est dire! Nous remercions chaleureusement Federica et Nicolo pour leur accueil parfait, et nous serrons la patte de Gine et Spina :-) Nous gardons votre adresse précieusement, car soyez sûrs que nous reviendrons dès que la vie nous le permettra. Amazing villa & pictures don't do it justice

Thank you to Federica and her family for being such great hosts - from the moment we arrived till we left the whole family enjoyed the stay and fantastic views !! The Villa is better than the pictures showed and pool is HUGE !! Highly recommended and we look forward to returning in the future !

A wonderful week in Tuscany

We spent a week at La Casetta di Castell'Anselmo in early May this year. This is a wonderful location for a vacation in the Tuscany region of Italy. La Casetta, located on the top of a hill, provides stunning views of the Tuscan country side. It was amazing to sit outside in the morning and evenings gazing at the vistas with the fragrance coming from the roses and other flowering plants. Sitting in the middle of several hectares of property there are olive trees, vineyards and gardens surrounding the house. The house is large, elegant and very comfortable. I Gelsi, the unit we rented, has a large eat-in kitchen, large dining room, living room, media room and several sitting areas, three bedrooms, swimming pool and BBQ. It is well equipped, and beautifully decorated. La Casetta is located in the middle of wine country. The owners, Federica and Francesa, are friendly and helpful and are willing to assist with information about the area, make arrangements for wine tours and provide recommendations of places to visit and directions to locations. We used I Gelsi as a home base to make day trips to places of interest in the area, including Pisa, Lucca, Livorno, Florence, Bolgheri, Volterra, a stunning beach and others. In retrospect, we should have planned to stay longer. We considered this to be a rare find, fully enjoyed our stay and highly recommend I Gelsi. Federica, Francesca, thank you from all of us for your hospitality, you made our first trip to Tuscany an amazing experience and we hope to have the opportunity to return in the future. Great holiday!

We've been there with 4 adults and 3 kids and had a real good time. Everything is exactly as mentioned in the description: the house with big rooms, the fantastic view, the huge pool. There is so much space, everyone could always find a place for himself if he wanted to. In the kitchen was everything there, that we needed. After one week, we got new towels and bed-sheets. Federica was always very friendly and helpful and we would recommend this house to our friends. The kids loved to play with the 2 dogs (Gin and Spina) although they are usually affraid of dogs.

Un endroit magnifique - ein traumhafter Ort

Nous (3 adultes et 3 garçons entre 13 et 17 ans) avons passé deux semaines inoubliables en Toscane. La maison est amenagée avec beaucoup de goût. Federica est très disponible, agréable et gentille. La piscine a fait le bonheur des garçons et le nôtre. Un endroit tout simplement magnifique. Les villes de Lucca, Pisa et Florence ainsi que la mer sont bien atteignables en voiture ... Des vacances parfaites! Wir (3 Erwachsene und 3 Jugendliche zwischen 13 und 17 Jahren) haben zwei Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Haus verbracht. Die sehr geschmackvolle Einrichtung, die Aussicht, der Pool und vor allem die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Gastgeberin Federica sind hervor zu streichen. Lucca, Pisa und Florenz sowie das Meer sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar .... Der perfekte Urlaub!

Unforgettable experience !!!

Trying to recapture our Holiday experiences and putting them into words is proving more of a task than I imagined. We come from Germany (Stuttgart) and are two married couples with our dogs who rented Gelsi for ten days .July 2013 All the reviews mention how nice the house was and the garden with the surrounding grounds not to forget the superb pool with that fantastic view. Yes quite correct but this house offers you more which I can’t explain. It’s that warm feeling that one has when things are more than just right . It would be impossible to put this into words. Federica mentions in her own notes (Gelsi home page ) that she likes establishing friendly relations with her guests from all over world. She achieves this part perfectly and her local knowledge would be difficult to top. So any questions about , what do and where to go etc , just speak to Federica, she will point you in the right direction. To wrap things up : I have never bothered to write a review before either negative or positive but this time I had no option. The whole holiday was so nice it certainly will be difficult to beat. We travel to the Tuscany nearly every year and make a point of renting a different property each time which gives us new opportunities’ to discover such wonderful places and people such as "Gelsi" and Federica. We are already making plans about returning next year. Many thanks for all your efforts which can be seen in the all-round quality Regards to Spina from Molly

Best Relaxing holidays in Tuscany

We were five adults with six children and a dog and La Casetta was just the perfect choice for our holidays. The kids where always in and around the good sized and clean pool, whereas five chairs gave us adults the opportunity to relax and tank some sun right next to it. The big kitchen made it easy to cook for 11 people with enough hands to help and all appliances were in top condition and the fridge big enough to stack food for a week. The location is also perfect to enjoy every minute the amazing views from the terrace of the house and spot many shooting stars during the nights - and also a great spot to escape for trips to explore the Tuscan sights such as Pisa, Florence and Volterra in no time. The dog beach in Cecina is also only 35min away. Federica made sure that we had nothing to miss during our stay and was of great help to get there and back without any problems. Probably the most relaxing holidays we had in a long time - thank you very much again!!!! We can recommend the house to everybody who wants a perfect spot away from everything but close to everything at the same time for absolute relaxation... Best Regards from all the Family Strangfeld

A wonderful holiday villa

Our family had a thoroughly relaxing holiday in this Villa (I Gelsi). The home is thoughtfully and beautifully furnished and provides any visitor the opportunity to just relax on the property. The owners are careful to ensure that your needs are met and are attentive to any queries or issues that might arise. The Villa also provides privacy and solitude, but is not too far from neighbouring cities of Livorno and Pisa. The closest town and supermarket is only 10 minutes by car. Our only regret is that we did not spend a longer period of time in this idyllic location. We plan to return for a longer period of time in the future.
