I recently stayed in the two-bedroom apartment at Rocklands Holiday Park in Hastings, and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, Joan was incredibly helpful, warm, and welcoming, which made settling in so much easier.The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and really felt like a home away from home. The facilities were excellent, and having a laundry on-site was incredibly convenient during my stay. I was travelling alone due to the passing of my uncle, and throughout my time there, I felt completely safe and at ease.I highly recommend Rocklands Holiday Park to anyone visiting the area. When my husband and I return to Hastings, we will definitely stay here again.Thank you.

Bank Holiday stay

The apartment is very clean and just the right size for 4 adults with a lovely option to eat outside with sea views. There is also a nice 15 minute walk across the hilltop into Hastings. We found the site to be very peaceful and relaxing.

Accommodate exceptionally clean and very comfortable

Great location!

The apartment was warm and comfortable and was fully equipped. It was very pleasant to look out to sea from the lounge and had the weather been warm we could have sat outside.

Perfect Break

From the check in to check out everything was perfect. The apartment was spotless and had everything you would need. The view overlooking the sea was stunning we were lucky with the weather and managed breakfast on the patio a couple of times. A great location for exploring Kent and Sussex.

An excellent location with great sea view

Modern property with all the facilities one would expect of a holiday apartment. Very clean and well maintained. A 15 minute downhill walk with coastal views into the old town of Hastings. The only issue for us was the quality of the wifi.

Fantastic holiday home

From the minute we arrived we knew we would enjoy our stay. The whole apartment was spotless, they provided absolutely everything we needed it was like home from home. I cannot say much except the place was perfection. We met the owners who were really nice and 100% would go back there. Beautiful sea views and wildlife were about most of the time to see especially in the evenings. There was badgers, foxes, rabbits, squirrels, jackdaws and a bat!

A Very Nice Self Rental

We travelled from Ireland - with my wife and adult daughter to celebrate her 30th birthday. We had a very please stay in the apartment. Most of all it was very secure, safe and clean with a wonderful sea view. What’s more we could park up and walk to the town across well maintained public land for even better views. Highly recommended.

Birthday trip

We found the apartment easily and impressed with the security of the park. It was very clean and peaceful. Joan was so helpful and very nice. We loved the apartment. Comfy beds, all we could possibly want or need. We will be returning to Hastings next year, for two weeks next time and hope to be able to stay again. Thank you x

A great place to stay

We were looking for a place to stay & explore the area and Rocklands seemed ideal and we weren't disappointed. It's location was perfect for us, set in a very quiet area, and the accommodation excellent with everything needed for self catering and very comfortable. It was nice to be able to sit on the patio and enjoy a drink whilst taking in the view and watching the wildlife. Walking into Hastings Old Town took about 15 minutes through the country park (there a lot of steps to climb on the return and the lift stops at 5.30 but taxis are available) and there are plenty of pubs & restaurants. There are lots of places to visit and our favourite was to the White Cliffs of Dover which were about a 75 minutes drive away. We had a wonderful stay and would certainly look to book again if we visited the area.

Short break

The property was very clean but very beige. That probably meets most people's requirements. The curtains could be heavier as light comes in too early. The WiFi also was very weak. However the view was wonderful and we were fortunate to be there when it was quiet and owners of the mobile homes were not visiting their properties.

Spotlessly clean apartment

Beautiful spotlessly clean well equipped apartment. Gorgeous sea view and peaceful location perfect for exploring east sussex. The only issue was checkin which was awful. No one to be found for nearly an hour after arrival. We were hanging around in the rain trying to find someone. Kept ringing the number we had with no response. Awful.

An Ideal Location to Explore the area

From our early check-in to departure, we found Joan to be helpful and understanding. The initial problems with the internet access, were promptly resolved, although the best Wifi signal was to be found in either the main bedroom or either bathroom, but this was due to the location of the booster. As we were staying for a two week period, we would have expected that the laundry facilities would have been included in the cost, as there is no washer or dryer in the apartment. Having to pay out for the use of shared facilities was rather inconvenient, especially if your timing was out and somebody was already using the facilities. Overall the location and standard of facilities was to a high standard and we would recommend to others.

An excellent stay in a fabulous apartment

We stayed in the apartment whilst visiting relatives in Hastings and Eastbourne, for 3 nights. The apartment was spotlessly clean on our arrival and we were greeted when we arrived and had various things explained to us. The apartment was well furnished in the living room, kitchen and the 2 bedrooms and bathrooms . The second shower room was a pleasant surprise and saved queuing in a morning. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and you could easily cook a meal comfortably. Milk in the fridge was provided when we arrived. The towels in the bathroom were of an excellent quality and were very clean and white. Outside there was a very substantial table and chairs to allow for al fresco dining whilst facing south and enjoying the sea view. It was peaceful and tranquil during our stay. Thank you for providing us with such a lovely place to stay.

Stunning sea views, peaceful location and, spotlessly clean

I didn't realise until I booked that it was in a holiday park with caravans and I was a little apprehensive that it would be busy and noisy. Nothing could have been further from the truth. There are static caravans behind the apartments - all privately owned - but when we were there, the whole place was extremely quiet. We were on the ground floor and patio doors made the most of the stunning and un-obscured sea view. The apartment itself was very comfortable with a large main bedroom with ensuite shower room as well as a family shower room for the second bedroom. Almost adjacent to the site is the enormous West Hill nature reserve with a large open area and a variety of walks. The location does have pros and cons. There are a lot of steps from the park to the beach and town so the idea of 'nipping down' for something is not that easy. There is a lift which operates most of the time however. For me the pros massively outweighed the cons and I would definitely stay at this property again if I came back to Hastings.

What a view!

This was a last minute thing, as we booked a guest house and they had to cancel due to a positive covid test. However, it couldn't have been better. My mum has mobility issues and we were given a lovely spacious ground floor apartment with a patio. She had her own twin room and bathroom. Ours was a double with ensuite. Lots of storage space. Underfloor heating and an immaculate kitchen! We were visiting my brother, as it was his birthday and we were happy to invite them back for cake and tea. Lots of places to walk, as the nature reserves is right next door. My only down side is if you are not fit to walk steep hills, this isn't the place for you. And you do need a car. Beautiful sunrises over the sea will be your view from your patio. Joan, the lady who runs the place was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely want to stay again sometime. 😊👍
