This is a superb property and location. Our hosts were great - super helpful and communicative. We were there on a cycling weekend and it met our every need. Highly recommended. Thanks to Anna and Mario for hosting us.

Great family holiday

Te hists were welcoming and helpful. The site was ideally situated a relatively short walk from Siena's centre, the vista of the Chianti hills enchanting, and the accommodation perfect for our family group. Lots of room for kids to run around and the pool perfect for relaxation and cooling off after a day if touristing. The evening dinner arranged with advice of the hosts was excellent and the setting delightful. No hestatin in recommending.

Amazing trip

The location was stunning, large and close to Siena. We had a fantastic time. Our hosts Anna & Mario were helpful and charming. A favorite was our cooking class and Dinner with Veronica. Highly, highly recommend.

Overall a very good experience for our group of 15. Very convenient to small market & Siena proper. Had an excellent experience with a in house chef dinner, wine tasting at local Enoteca & cooking class host help arrange.

Could not ask for better hosts. Anna, Marco and Claudia were extremely helpful before our trip…. Helping me set up our stay. They welcomed us with homemade olive oil, bread and wine, and the best hospitality. The Villa is in a perfect location….. walking distance into Siena, and the property has everything you could want. We highly recommend staying here❤️

Mid April 2024

We were a group of 12 retired friends staying at Villa Santa Chiara for a few nights. The entire checkin/out process was very easy. Anna and Mario allowed us a late checkout which was very helpful. The location is a short but uphill walk to the city center. The accommodations were perfect for us and we especially enjoyed sitting outside by the pool or by the gazebos. All 12 of us loved the location, the quality of the accommodations and especially the helpfulness of the owners. This would be our first choice if ever to come back to Siena.

Spectacular Siena

We were an extended family of 9 who rented the entire property (three villas). There is literally not enough positive to say about the property or the hosts, Mario and Anna. Each of the individual villas were gorgeous (FYI, the Olive Green Villa has the best views). The property has an abundance of gorgeous flowers and trees (including jasmine perfuming the air), as well as a menagerie of cats, a dog, some geese, ducks, and chickens that our family enjoyed. The pool was spectacular. Mario and Anna were excellent at answering our questions and providing us with information, and arranged for a private chef's dinner sitting outside that included more food and wine than we could consume (which they packaged up so we could enjoy later). Truly, this is a one-of-a-kind property and experience.

Sixteen of our family members ages 1-80 spent a week at Villa Santa Chiara in September 2025. The villa, hosting and activities exceeded every one of our high expectations. Anna and Mario were more like friendly family concierges than official hosts. In the months leading up to the visit, they patiently answered our numerous questions and provided advice on wine tasting, cooking classes at the villa, driver and van rental, and guided walking tours. We rented the entire villa - 3 apartments. We enjoyed walking to the old city center from the villa - about 30 min - to enjoy museums and excellent restaurants. In the late afternoon and evenings we relaxed outside around the fire pit to enjoy the views and fine wine. A small grocery store 5 min walk from the villa provided all the essentials we needed for cooking and snacking. The kids loved exploring the beautiful property including the playground and resident poultry. They swam in the pool or visited the hot tub daily. During our visit Anna and Mario helped us arrange 2 chef-created family dinners and 2 cooking classes with Chef Eliana. This was a special highlight and very comfortable in the villa’s separate dining/kitchen building with large indoor and outdoor tables. Thank you, Anna and Mario, for 15/10 hosting and wonderful family memories.

Travel Couples From Texas

Our Anglican Church friends (three couples) from Texas began our Italy tour in Rome and then continued to Florence for a few days. We spent our final four days at the beautiful Villa Santa Chiara, a short walk from the gates of downtown Siena, Italy. This wonderful villa could accommodate more people than our group of six, but it was an excellent choice for our three couples. Each couple had their own private apartment with a bathroom, kitchen, and spacious living area. The villa was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated, offering outstanding views of the countryside and the town of Siena. The villa hosts, Mario and Anna, were extremely helpful from the initial booking to our arrival and throughout our stay. They arranged for a chef to come to our villa to cook a delicious Italian meal and provide an informative wine tasting with excellent wine selections. This part of our Italy tour was definitely a highlight, and we highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the heart of Tuscany. Thanks to Anna and Mario for a fantastic visit in Siena.
