Fantastic location

The cottage was tucked away in a very quiet beautiful location with stunning views. Inside was very clean and tidy with a welcoming feeling. The host was very helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful Easter weekend staying at the cottage.

Very friendly lady. Cosy cottage, beautifull view, no shops. Remote place. Nice waterfall 200 feet down. Clean, compleet and warm. Good shower. Matras is somewhat hard.

A wild dream

Lind End cottage is situated in a beautifully isolated location. The cottage provided all the amenities we were looking for and really felt like a home from home.The land lady made us feel very welcome.We had a great stay and hope to come back sometime.Many Thanks.Polly and Didier.

Lind End Cottage

We had a very enjoyable 4 nights at Lind End Cottage. We were warmly greeted by Janet, who was very friendly. The cottage was clean and very well laid out with a wonderful view from the dining room.The bed was comfortable and a good shower plenty of hot water and at a decent pressure.On leaving Janet called in to see if were happy with everything and to chat about our bike rides and walking trips. Thank you again Janet for a lovely stay.

Beautiful property in a spectacular setting with a very friendly host. Compared to other cottages I’ve stayed in this was by far the most comfortable with everything feeling new and well-cared for. In particular, a great sized bed and bedroom with fantastic ceiling height made it feel very spacious inside. And so peaceful, just some cows for company when looking out the window! Just be comfortable with driving on extremely narrow roads to reach the property, but that added to the charm for me.

Outstanding Location

Beautiful views… The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The host Janet was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived and completely respected our privacy. Awesome place to stay, with amazing walks just outside the door. We loved the waterfall which was a very short walk away… The track leading to the accommodation is covered in potholes which is the only downside. The views and the walks outweigh this minor inconvenience. We highly recommend…

A great little hideaway.

I stayed here with my daughter for a lovely weekend exploring the lake district, the price was great and the cottage provided the perfect base to explore from. The cottage is located in a beautiful secluded valley, perfect for looking at the stars on a clear night. It is perfectly equipped as a home from home and has everything you need to be self sufficient for your stay. Janet is very friendly and was very helpful during and before our stay, even providing weather updates due to the snow and ice being a bit worrying before we travelled . I will definitely be back for another stay soon and I highly recommend to anyone.

We had car trouble and our host was beyond helpful. The setting was beautiful and within driving distance of many attractions and sites. A great week.

Of all the times we have stayed in the lakes this stay was the best we've had and it couldn't have been any better from start to finish and we will be coming back to this superb cottage in breathtaking surroundings

A little get away

Great place, not remote but remote enough to just switch off and unwind. Got there without a wrong turn! As soon as we got to Broughton I switched off the satnav & followed Janets instructions, just like she told me to. Lovely vistas and the Blacksmith Arms was fab!

Beautiful little hidden cottage

Easy to book on line, lovely little cosy cottage with amazing views and so clean and tidy. Lots of winding roads around the area with the local stores about a 5 minute drive away. Not too far from Coniston and Windermere and all the walks you can manage just outside your doorstep. Torrential rain, hail and wind during our stay but we still managed to climb a few mountains and couldn't have asked for anything better

Perfect for a complete getaway

Lovely cottage in a wonderful secluded location, perfect for anyone wishing to get away from it all. WiFi a little sporadic at times but everything else was fantastic. Loved seeing the cows out of the window, and the views were stunning.

Good things come in small packages.

I've just got back from a week at this lovely cottage. The location is very peaceful but well situated to explore this area of the Lake District. It is near to Cumbrian Heavy Horses where I was riding. This small cottage has all you need & a very comfy bed with a view of the stars. Janet the owner is close at hand if you need her. An added highlight for me was watching the bats flying out of their roost ad evening fell from the back window.

The track is a bit rough on road vehicles. WiFi sporadic. What lovely hosts, and fantastic location.

The host family were friendly, helpful and always had time for a chat. The cottage was clean, comfy and had everything we needed for the week. Top notch location, lovely views and great parking.

Lovely Bolt Hole Away From it all

Lind Cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed for a fabulous stay. The views from the window of the fells were amazing and we found lots of beautiful walking right from the door. A real hidden gem of an area with lots of peace and quiet. Our host Janet was great and always on hand if we needed anything. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again in future.
