The HOA is not very inefficient and the host was not very responsive to keep you informed of the time frame for repairs. I asked for a time frame when the elevators would be repaired and I was told I would be notified as soon as possible. That was on a Monday and it’s Friday and I still haven’t received a response. I notified the host as soon as the AC wasn’t working properly and they asked me to check the breakers. I had to trip the breakers every few hours just to keep the air going. I told them what I found and they said Great ! They would contact me in the morning which they never did. I requested a discount for having to walk up 14 floors with luggage & food which was hard for my family but was told it wasn’t their responsibility. I paid for this condo in full up front and told them my reservation should have been canceled when the elevator didn’t work and we were on the 18th floor. Some members of my family could not continue to walk up and down the stairs so I was forced to find another rental so I didn’t waste this vacation that I had planned and saved months for. Clearly this agency cared more about the money from renting than the safety & satisfaction of their renters. I would never recommend staying at the Ocean Reef or booking a rental through Southern Vacation Rentals.Elevators didn’t work upon our arrival and the AC kept going on and off because a condensing unit breaker kept tripping.
