Occupying an enviable city front location in small village called S. Alessio near the walls of Lucca, VILLA AMICO overlooks glistening vineyards and is backdropped by majestic antique villas and olive groves. This stunning villa is the perfect combination of natural beauty and Italian architecture, a stone's throw from the picturesque city of Lucca.



VILLA AMICO boasts a south facing wooden sundeck that provides uninterrupted views of the adjacent town countryside with a 6x14 metres chlorine-free salt water swimming pool and and a jacuzzi pool in a corner. The jacuzzi is available from May 15th to September 30th (not heated). An intimate outdoor dining area awaits on the elevated terrace. Here you can prepare newly discovered Tuscan delights on a classic stone barbecue.



The outdoor dining and living areas are furnished with welcoming sofas to provide a wealth of retreats. There’s always a cosy nook to enjoy your morning coffee with a book, or a quieter spot to indulge in a glass of sparkling wine at sunset. And, come the balmy evenings, the fireplace simply begs to be lit. An exclusive pitch and putt golf



Split over two floors, the villa is semidetached and attached to the owners’ villa. The villa comes with a private parking and a private veranda/outdoor dining and living area and 800 square metres of private land all around (none of these are shared with the owner and his house cannot be seen from the rental property)



Across the two bedrooms crisp greens and splashes of vibrant colour work to enhance the hues and toes of the undeniable star of the show: the ever-visible landscape’s natural beauty. The villa is literally in town but secluded enough to be surrounded by a magnificent amphiteatre of lush greenery.



The kitchen is equipped with gas detector and carbon monoxide detector



VILLA AMICO’s prime location balances privileged privacy with convenient access to Lucca (3 mins drive away) and other regions of Tuscany, featuring exceptional restaurants, nightlife spots and many local experiences such as Wine Tastings and Cooking Lessons in addition to its famous sightseeing sites. The house is very pretty and we loved the veranda. The pool is a great size with wonderful views all around you. Excellent location being so close to Lucca and there is also a v handy supermarket 5 mins drive away. Perfect for a relaxing holiday. We would definitely return.

the most amazing Villa in Lucca!

The villa is stunning and very clean, but also in a fantastic location because you get the charm of staying in rural Tuscany with only a 5 minute drive to lucca. There are also a few options for places to eat easily within walking distance. The host even came down to the pool with fresh focaccia for us one morning. We have advised family to go stay there as it truly is a place worth visiting.

We Love This Farmhouse

The most beautiful experience, we highly recommend this gem. A stunning farmhouse, spacious and on a gorgeous property just outside of Lucca. We enjoyed the tranquility of the grounds and although to cold to swim loved sitting by the pool. The host Nicola was excellent in communication, care and recommendations. Lovely vineyards close by and the town of Lucca is full of charm. We would love to stay again

We highly recommend staying here

Beautiful Villa in Lucca. Great location just on the outskirts of town (only a few minutes of a drive to the walled city). The grounds were beautifully maintained and nice to walk around, and the views of the mountains are lovely. Nicola was very friendly and responsive to any questions we had (he even gave us fresh eggs from their chickens!) The only caution is that during our stay (June) the mosquitos on the grounds were very bad. Nicola gave us bug spray and repellent which was very nice, but unfortunately it didn’t seem to help much so we weren’t able to enjoy the beautiful patio as much as we would have liked. We still highly recommend staying here!

Fantastic vacation spot

Nicola is a great host who always has an open ear and is happy to help. The location of the villa is beautiful and the pool is great. Without the pool we would probably have evaporated. The surroundings are very quiet and our privacy was never disturbed. I would recommend the villa at any time and would book again myself. In principle, only details can be improved. For example, the toilet seat in the hut by the pool has a crack. Even if the seat is still functional, it would make sense to replace it. There are a few other details that could be fixed quite easily. But they are just details that do not detract the vacation in any way.

Wonderful Holiday, lovely villa

We had a wonderful 3 weeks at Villa D’Amico. Nicola was a charming host. The setting is beautiful, and we so enjoyed relaxing by the pool & on the terrace. The villa is on the end of the family villa, but it felt private- there is Gabrielle the gardener, who you may meet from time to time - we enjoyed our chats with him. Loved the chickens wandering around and lots of wildlife. We often cooked at the villa and the kitchen was well equipped. In the village there’s a smallish supermarket, which was also open on a Sunday morning. The villa is about 10 minutes drive into Lucca. We loved Lucca enjoyed cycling around the walls, Palazzo Pfanner, opera music concert. Also enjoyed trip to opera at Torre del Largo Puccini with dinner at restaurant overlooking lake. The 19€ seats were fine. We hope to return for another visit. Kate, Kieran, Hannah & Harry.

Stunning location and lots to visit

We stayed for 6 nights in early October. Unfortunately weather didn’t permit us to benefit fully from the outside property (rain). The villa is exactly like in the photos. There is plenty of room, and it is comfortably appointed. There are even screens in the windows which was a pleasant surprise! We visited beautiful spots using this as a home base. Just a few minutes from Lucca, of course. We also went to Viareggio, Montecarlo, and even hiked at Cinque Terre (drove to La Spezia and quick train ride to Monterosso). The highlight of our whole trip to Italy however, was a little hilltop town called Barga, about 1 hour north. These were all suggestions of the owner, who lives on the adjoining property and was very helpful and always available. The only downside was the internet was a bit slow on some days, but the upside is it forced us to leave our devices and take in the beautiful environment. I recommend this rental and would definitely return again 😎

Man kann nur sagen: traumhaft!

Man hat sich im Haus sofort wohl und zuhause gefühlt. Wunderschön gelegen, sehr sauber, sehr liebe- und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit vielen kleinen hübschen Details. Die Küche ist mit allem notwendigem ausgestattet. Schöne und gemütliche Ecken im Garten und auf der Terrasse. Absolutes Highlight ist der riesige Pool, traumhaft gelegen im großen Garten und mit allerlei hochwertigen Liege- und Sitzmöglichkeiten. Der Pool war jeden morgen bltzblank sauber - und auch bei (sehr) heißem Wetter immer erfrischend. Gut auch, der überdachte Parkplatz. Auch die Lage ideal; man ist mit dem Auto in 5 Minuten in Lucca. Apropos: wir haben schon viel gesehen in der Toskana, aber Lucca toppt alles. Grandiose Altstadt, hervorragende Restaurants und Cafés mit auffallend freundlichen Menschen und reicher Kultur. Aber ... keine Touristenmassen, wie an den bekannten Hotspots in der Toskana. Zum Schluss herzlichen Dank an Nicola!! Er war immer da wenn man ihn braucht und war äußerst hilfsbereit. Er ist einfach ein sehr netter Mensch. Und er hat auch viele lohnenswerte Tipps, wenns ums Essen geht. Wenn man was bemängeln müsste, wären es leider die Betten bzw. Matratzen im Hauptschlafzimmer - die waren steinhart. Nichts desto Trotz, ein fabelhafter Urlaub, an den wir gerne und lang zurückdenken.

Es ist alles liebevoll eingerichtet.

Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt in der Villa. Draußen geht es durch einen Garten zu dem riesigen Pool mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht. Der Supermarkt „Crai“ ist nur 2-3 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Obwohl man mitten im Grünen ist, ist die Autobahn auch schnell zu erreichen. Die Kommunikation verlief reibungslos. Nicola hat uns herzlich empfangen.

Amazing place, amazing hosts.

We lovely Lucca a lot and now as our family is big enough (5 folks) we look for holiday houses instead apartments. This Villa is perfectly located and has everything that you would need for summer getaway. You can get real Tuscan life feeling while walkingrelaxing in the terrace, gardennear the pool. Views are just amazing in the morning and also evening to catch a sunset. Lucca is like 3min drive and there are smaller shops and a really nice butchery like 1min away from the villa. We would definitely get back there are some point during the summer.

“Wat hebben wij een fijn verblijf gehad in dit geweldige huis! De eigenaar Nicola is erg gastvrij en wil het je echt naar het zin maken. Geweldig zwembad, hottub en golfbaan bij het huis. Wij hebben ook erg genoten van de sfeer van het landhuis. Ons gezelschap bestond uit 2 volwassenen, een kindje van 3 en een kindje van 2 maanden.”
