HOMEPORT "Pozo de fuego, bancos de arena, océano, privacidad, 2 KM a Ferry a Nueva Escocia

Durante la temporada alta, Starboard alquila de viernes a viernes principalmente en temporada alta.
La cabaña de estribor descansa a 75 pies de una playa muy grande, limpia, profunda de arena roja y blanca. La cabaña se enfrenta al estrecho de Northumberland en el extremo sur de PEI con las aguas más cálidas y los mares más tranquilos de la isla. Tenemos 3 casas de campo repartidas en 20 acres y un carril completamente privado. Si te encanta la playa, aquí estarás como en casa. Hay un gran cambio en la marea todos los días. Durante la marea alta, puede nadar o caminar a lo largo de la costa y buscar vidrio marino y otros tesoros. Starboard es una cabaña de 2 dormitorios con techos estilo catedral en la cocina de concepto abierto / sala de estar / comedor. Un dormitorio tiene una cama queen-size, y el segundo dormitorio tiene una cama litera individual sobre doble. Tenemos un colchón inflable individual para huéspedes adicionales. Disfrute de una vista del faro de Wood Islands desde todos los puntos del lado sur de la cabaña. Tenemos una clasificación de 3. 5 estrellas en Canadá.

Estamos a 1 km del centro de información para visitantes de Plough Through The Waves con una tienda de licores y tiendas. Las estaciones de servicio, las instituciones bancarias y las tiendas de comestibles se encuentran en Montague, a 15 minutos en auto hacia el norte. Dos campos de golf están a 15 minutos.

Great place to stay

We had a wonderful visit to P.E.I. Not too far from the airport and easy to get around to all sightseeing spots. Truly beautiful view and quiet relaxing stay. Only good things to say about this rental and friendly host.

A wonderful stay!

We had a lovely time relaxing in the peace and quiet of the house and beach. We loved walking the sand during low tide and finding shells and playing with the razor clams. The location was perfect for visiting the Green Gables portions of the island, one if the msin reasons we came. All in all, a great place and lovely vacation! Thank you, and we hope to come back again!

Beautiful location, very clean and comfortable

Darryl is a friendly and attentive host. The cottage was very clean and in excellent condition. The location can't be beat. The cottage is 100' from the beach and there is a clear view of the Northumberland Strait from the cottage deck. On our first day we were greeted by a Bald Eagle sitting in a tree just down the shore, and we saw eagles almost every day. There were frequent seal sightings and lots of shore birds. Dave and Dianne

Great Experience - Would Stay Again

The property owner Darryl was exceptionally prompt in responding to all inquiries and assisting with our cottage experience. He's extremely accommodating without being in your space. The property was great for our family with a huge private beachfront, shared with a couple other separate cottage renters, and access to Kayaks, beach umbrellas, chairs etc. Also some pretty substantial grass areas for the kids to play soccer and run around. We had a private fire pit near our cottage at the edge of the ocean / beach front. Plenty of space for each family, with enough distance between cottages to feel private. This area of the island is not a tourist trap. All experiences within 30 minute drive are authentic. We did drive to other tourist destinations, North Rustico, Cavendish, Greenwich, which was anywhere from 40mins to 1hr. Overall we had a great experience at Homeport, and would highly recommend for other families.

PEI Wood Islands house

Excellent house, right on the beach, in an outstanding location in Wood Islands, PEI. My family loved exploring the beach at low tide, and the water was warm in late August. Big kitchen, fire pit, washer dryer, internet, excellent amenities overall. Location is close to Charlottetown and other spots we visited on the island. A fabulous week spent on PEI!

That view each morning!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Starboard cottage. We really liked being so close to the water, waking up each morning to the sounds of the surf and the kids loved walking out when the tide was low, checking out the sea life and birds. Saw some beautiful birds and even a seal out in the distance! 20-30 minutes drive to area communities and to explore lighthouses... Proximity to the ferry to NS can't be beat. It was a little buggy but probably just the time of year. Cottage was clean and comfortable, and Darryl offered advice for things to do whenever we asked. A happy stay!

Fantastic cottage on the island by the ocean!

Anyone looking for a place to stay on PEI for their vacation should look no further than these cottages at Wood Island. The cottage itself is ideally located only a few meters from the beach. Look out from the deck at the rising/receding tides and the Wood Island ferries is a charming feature. The cottage is exceptionally well equipped with all the necessities and more to make your stay comfortable and hassle-free. Patio furniture, a fire-pit, beach furniture, a shed with firewood and even a hose hung to rinse the sand from your feet. Your host is Darryl and was very welcoming upon arrival. Darryl was very friendly and attentive to anything we needed. Although the place is so well maintained and equipped that you probably won’t need to contact him! Although the cottage is located on the southeast corner of the island there is still plenty of things to do in the area and only 45 minutes to Charlottetown (should you grow tired of the quiet and serenity of the beach). We would be happy to stay here again the next time we visit PEI!

Amazing places to relax, explore and enjoy nature

This place is heaven. Low tide is a great time to explore the ocean floor. The cottage is big and extremely clean. It has everything you will need! The deck is large and has lots of seating. If you are lucky Chase the dog will come for a visit. You can ask the owner Darryl for anything and he is happy to help. He brought us some Mackerel and showed our son how to gut it. He will also help you with lobster and clams right off the sand bars!!!

A Beautiful Escape to the South Coast of PEI At Homeport By The Sea Starboard Cottage (July 2018)

My wife and I enjoyed a very relaxing and enjoyable week by the sea in the Homeport Starboard cottage from July 7-14 2018. The cottage was very comfortable and well supplied. Daryll MacQueen, our PEI host, made every effort to address all our needs. The cottage is nicely located close to the shore. We loved the low tides, when we walked onto the sandbars. We could easily walk all the way to Wood Islands ferry terminal. Great clam digging with the giant bar clams. Lots of crabs & other sea life. We love shells, and they were plentiful. We highly recommend this cottage for a couple or for a family. It is well equipped and very spacious inside and outside. While there are two other cottages at Homeport, they are well spread out and we enjoyed a lot of privacy. Thanks Daryll for a great vacation!!

Beautiful,peaceful enjoyable!

After a little ‘rocky start’ (a date mix up,which created no drama anyway)my husband and I couldn’t recommend highly enough staying at these cottages.Darryl is incredibly helpful and his easy going nature and attitude were a pleasure to deal with...Darryl went the extra mile for any thing we needed or wanted to know,we couldn’t have had a better time with the helpful information he provided. Any issues were dealt with promptly and the cottage was lovely to stay in..everything you could need and very well maintained in a gorgeous setting. We would love to come back!.. Another great stay

Had another excellent week with Homeport. Great sunny September days spent cruising for new beaches to shell hunt on even though one of the best to explore is right off the deck. Quiet evenings enjoying nice local wines and the comforting sound of waves bringing in the next days treasures. Thanks again! Till next year..

Starboard cottage

Thank you so much for sharing your picturesque cottage with us. Your hospitality was very much appreciated and we would highly recommend staying at Homeport by the Sea. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you would need. It truly was our home away from home. We have rented other cottages in PEI but this one surpassed all the rest. Very nice cottage and awesome location...great beach getaway!

The cottage was nice and well set up for us. Darryl was very friendly and accommodating towards the needs of our toddler for a crib and a high chair. The beach is awesome at low tide...we felt we were the only people there most of the time. The seafood shack 2 minutes away was also fantastic. We had a great week there. Highly recommend visiting!
