Bayside Cottage (anteriormente Grace Cottage):

Ubicación ideal frente al mar con vista a la Bahía de Cedarville con una hermosa vista hacia Government Bay y un muelle que se extiende hacia aguas profundas. Las islas Les Cheneaux consisten en 36 islas que crean canales y bahías protegidas que proporcionan paseos en bote, pesca, vela, kayak, piragüismo, natación, esquí, tubos, etc. Hay mucho espacio en el muelle para todos sus botes y equipos de verano. Nade o pesque directamente desde su propio muelle. La cubierta adjunta, el gran muelle o las sillas de adirondack alrededor de la hoguera en el gran césped le permiten elegir su lugar para sentarse y relajarse.

La cabaña se encuentra a poca distancia del centro de Cedarville, donde encontrará una tienda de comestibles, bancos, restaurantes, bares, tiendas, un puerto deportivo, una heladería, un parque, antigüedades y museos, una escuela de botes y una nueva destilería. Hessel está a 3 millas en automóvil o en un corto viaje en bote y ofrece puertos deportivos, bares, tiendas, escuela culinaria, casino y mucho más. We had a wonderful stay at Bayside cottage. Property was very clean and comfortable. Had everything there you needed. Great water frontage, beautiful yard and sandy beach for play and swimming.

Fully Rquipped Home Away From Home

We had an amazing time! What a relaxing trip. We spent most of our time at the VRBO and did some sightseeing. This place is stocked with all your needs. There is much more then what it listed but Im sure its difficult to keep an up to date inventory. Loved that they had a crockpot and griddle. Great area, great neighbors. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Getaway

My family has been coming to Cedarville for over 30 years and we were lucky enough this year to find this property! My parents own and rent in Cedarville RV Park but having young kids we wanted some place nearby with a beach and some room to play! Tom and Rachels home provided just what we needed and we enjoyed our stay! We played on the beach and caught fish off the dock! The laundry facilities were a great addition having 2 little ones. We tried to book for next year already but this gem is already booked solid and I know why! We will be watching for cancellations and openings for 2022 and beyond! Book this house if you can, you won't be disappointed!

Boating the Islands, Checking Out the Towns an d Vicinity, and TOTAL RELAXATION!

For the first three days I enjoyed boating among Les Cheneaux islands and checking out Cedarsville and Hessel Michigan a bit, and the surrounding vicinity. The last day's great weather would've been perfect for boating -- something I love. But instead of boating, I decided just to enjoy the day at the cottage. It was so QUIET and PEACEFUL. The tiny wavelets lapping onshore and the occasional boat in the distance were virtually the only sounds I heard. The sun was warm, and everything felt comfortable and looked bright and cheery. When darkness came, I lit a small bonfire in the firepit and enjoyed it as well. SO RELAXING ALL DAY! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE PEACEFUL, QUIET, AND RELAXING DAY! So glad I passed on boating and stayed in the cottage the last day.

Great Setting for a Family Vacation

This cottage is the perfect spot for a family vacation: spacious yard, on-site laundry, beautiful private waterfront with sand beach and dock. We wish the sliding screen door to the deck worked and that there were better sleeping mattresses.

Wonderful family vacation!

The owner was very timely and responsive to questions. The cottage had everything we needed for a family of 5 ( 15 year old twin boys and 12 year old girl). We rented a pontoon boat locally - a must for this area. Can walk to town easily for ice cream with the kids and drinks at the local distillery for adults. Would absolutely rent again!

Upper Peninsula Gem

We truly enjoyed our stay at Tom & Rachel's property! The location was perfect - right on the water with a sandy beach and a dock to fish off of. We caught smallmouth and largemouth bass, carp, trout and perch. The cottage had all the essentials to make our stay comfortable. We hope to visit again soon!

Exceptional time

From the location of the home right on the water to the little town of Cedarville, this was a great time. The neighborhood was quiet, the waterfront view and access was worth every moment you looked out the window or stepped onto the dock. We had a great time, fishing from the dock, enjoying local restaurants all the sites the UP has to offer.

Boating heaven!!

Everything was perfect and as advertised. We brought our whaler up for the week, and our boating experience was phenomenal every day. The dock on the property is great. The weather was perfect and the waters were calm. The islands offer so much territory to explore. We enjoyed nightly fires down by the quiet water’s edge and appreciated the absence of light pollution along the water’s edge. Mornings and evenings, we took in the beautiful view of the calm water stretching out to Lake Huron. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful, and we loved the regular visits from their tiny dog Grizzly who did tricks for treats. We are looking forward to our next visit. Many thanks to our hosts for sharing this place!

Relaxing vacation!

We had never stayed in this area, but what a find! We had a very relaxing stay at the cottage. It is in a great location, and being able to just sit by the lake and watch the boats go by was the perfect way to unwind. We rented a pontoon from Barefoots Resort (highly recommend!) and were able to spend time exploring Government Island and just putting around the other islands. We took day trips to Pictured Rocks and Mackinac Island as well as to Sault Sainte Marie for a grocery run and to see the locks. But there is plenty of exploring to do in the area as well! The cottage was well stocked with all of the basics---plenty of sheets and towels (you might want to bring your own beach towels) as well as soap, toilet paper, etc---and having the ability to do laundry onsite was a bonus. If you plan to spend time in the kitchen, there are plenty of pots and pans. (A few things that were not available that probably aren't important to most people but we wished we had: cookie sheets, cutting board, regular coffee maker (there is a Keuring) and sharp knives). The internet worked great on the first and last day, but was out sporadically throughout the week. The owner was quick to respond and helped to the best of his ability (some things just can't be solved) and my college student daughters who were trying to wrap up the last of their online classes were able to use the internet at the nearby coffee shop. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for an escape to the U.P.!

This property stands out because of the fantastic view from the large front yard! The waterfront location gives the ability to enjoy all multiple water activities right from our front yard. The cottage is quaint and comfortable and offers everything needed for a perfect, relaxing, adventurous vacation. It is located perfectly for all of the mainland interests as well. Downtown Cedarville is within easy walking distance, and Hessel is a short 3 mile drive away.
