Kenmare Cottage está situado en la ciudad costera de Shanklin y está idealmente ubicado a poca distancia de la playa, el centro de la ciudad, el pueblo antiguo, Shanklin Chine y restaurantes. El paseo marítimo de Shanklin es el lugar perfecto para disfrutar de unas vacaciones de playa tradicionales, con una hermosa playa de arena, pubs, restaurantes, atracciones y campos de golf. Hay algo para toda la familia. Puede caminar por la cascada hasta el paseo marítimo o puede tomar el Acantilado.

Big Mead es un gran parque abierto situado al sur de Shanklin Old Village. Este parque es ideal para paseadores de perros y también dentro del parque encontrará un área de recreación para niños y un hermoso estanque de patos en el fondo de la Iglesia Mead by St Blasius.

Rylstone Gardens está escondido justo al sur de Shanklin Old Village y se extiende hasta el sendero costero con vistas espectaculares de la bahía. Estos tranquilos jardines tienen una encantadora tienda de té y un campo de golf loco, ambos adornados con hermosas canastas de flores durante los meses de verano. Very. I’ve place to stay in Shanklin and to see the Isle of Wight

Great house with loads of space for kids. Loved the table tennis table to use outside. Very tight road and parking difficult with a big car but we managed! Great location and had a wonderful week travelling around the Isle of Wight sight seeing. Great beaches and places to see. Would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely place to stay, had everything we needed. Excellent base for exploring the area.

Kenmare Cottage was very welcoming and had everything we needed for our family holiday. Lots of attention to details - even doggie blankets for our 4 legged family member. The welcome tray was much appreciated after our drive and made the start of our holiday feel special. Nicely decorated, we chuckled over the comic dog pictures. Great to be able to park the car and walk from the house to explore lots of things in the area. Would definitely recommend to others, especially for a family holiday.

Our holiday was absolutely fantastic! The house was immaculate when we arrived and easy to get into. Location is superb. The information folders were fantastic, very detailed and welcome package was a nice touch. The games room was a loved addition as well as the table tennis( balls were a bit dented and we didn't find anywhere to buy anymore). Shanklin is a lovely little place.We would definitely recommend and would stay again

We were very impressed with this property. It was well equipped, in a good location, near to facilities and beautifully furnished. It had everything we needed and contributed to making our stay on the Isle of Wight fantastic. Nearly forgot to say thank you for the goodies left for us.

Second visit to Kenmare Cottage,

Kenmare Cottage is perfect in every way, it is spotlessly clean, very well equipped, stylish and spacious, it has the bonus of parking to the rear of the property and is very centrally located in Shanklin, a level walk to the shops, which are nearby. An excellent choice for couples and families. Credit also to the agent Island Holiday Homes who provide an excellent service. Thank you.

Ideal holiday let

Very enjoyable stay with accommodation very high standard. Appreciative of essentials supplied such as tea, coffee and milk, plus unexpected lovely cake. Location ideal for access around Shanklin with excellent bus service. Only point which other people have made is vehicle access from main road which is on a sharp bend and tight turn. However would definitely recommend this property to others.

Relax, unwind and enjoy

This is the second time of staying here, this time we we're joined by our 18 month old granddaughter, mum and Dad and Willow there four legged companion. We had an absolutely brilliant holiday here ☺️ the sun shone and was warm through out. We were greated by a lovely arrival pack. Thank you. The IOW is a superb holiday location and this island holiday home was the perfect place to stay. Thank you

Relaxing Winter Break

We thoroughly enjoyed our November stay at Kenmare Cottage, it is very spacious and well equipped, and so very homely, the owners have thought of everything. The location is very convenient, it is close to the shops and the beach in Shanklin, it is also handy for the old village, restaurants, pubs and takeaways, which are all within an easy stroll. This is by far the best place we have stayed in Shanklin and would highly recommend the property. The team at Island Holiday Homes were also fantastic, they provided excellent customer service throughout our stay. Their attention to detail was great, they promptly answered all my pre-holiday questions, they efficiently booked our car ferry tickets (at a great price!) and kept us really well informed. Thank you.

Very Nice

The house is lovely and homely with nice touches, clean and tidy with everything you need. The games room is a fab idea if you have generations stopping or young children. It is a short walk to the beach, and into the town. Although the house is on a main road, the traffic noise isnt really an issue, and the seating area at the back is quiet and warm in the sun. The house is spacious and well laid out , and more then enough room for families. . Parking would be an issue if you have a large car, or more then 1 car, we have a Mokka and managed but it was hairy at times. You are also exiting the little road at the back of the house where you park , onto a main road on a blind bend from the right, that is also hairy at times. So you need to be vigilant when leaving. On the whole a lovely house.

Beautiful house in a great location

We were impressed with the cleanliness when we arrived. Everything was very clean and the house was full with all amenities you can think of. Kitchen was stocked, playroom full of games, books and gaming station and plenty of linen and towels provided. The instructions were very clearly provided in advance but also in the welcome guide. The house is in a great location being close to the shops (300M), close to the old village (5 min walk) and beach lift (7 min walk). Being in the middle of the town however means that there has been a lot of noise from the road and neighbour houses with all the windows open in the middle of summer. There is ample parking at the back of the house but a little tricky to get to if you have a bigger car. Throughout our 2 week stay we needed to contact maintenance & housekeeping for some bins advice and she was extremely responsive and helpful. I cannot fault it and gladly stay again!

Well worth a stay

Recently completed a stay at the Kenmore Cottage. Overall, I would recommend this property and also stay again. Here are my observations: Pros: - Huge property with lots of large rooms. All 3 bedrooms are a great size as is the main bathroom - Has everything you would need for a stay from appliances through to essential kitchen and living items (chopping boards, mini scales, iron, etc) - Room for 2 cars to park at the rear of the property - An abundance of games (board and Nintendo Wii) and DVDs to choose from - Its very clean and the paintwork looks fresh - Located 10 mins walk from the beach and a 60 second walk gets you into town where there are plenty of shops & take aways - Owners provided a lovely welcome pack including dog treats, 4 pints of milk, a chocolate cake, tea, coffee, sugar. Also had washing up liquid and some washing tablets too. Very thoughtful Cons: - Getting out of the road to the rear of the property. Its not the fault of the owners, its just a blind turn and I feel dangerous. I would encourage the owners to campaign the council to put up a mirror on the lamp post directly opposite. - The road itself (to the rear parking) is very tight. If you have a large car, you may want to research the road via Google Maps. I have a small SUV and that was OK, but anything larger might be an issue. Again, not the fault of the owners! - There are some internal cracks on walls and ceilings, but this shouldn't be a distraction. The owners will need to address it, but it wouldn't put me off rebooking. Also, a shout out to Island Holiday Homes. Lots of clear communications, responsive by email, polite and helpful when I called to book my ferry (then change the return time twice!). Great company with great employees.

Beautiful house in a fantastic location

This property is lovey large house, in a fantastic location between old town Shanklin and Shanklin sea front both we walked to on many occasions, about 15mins to the front and 10mins to the old town. There are plenty of eating places, restaurants and take always within a few minutes walk from the house. The house was lovely and clean on arrival, with plenty of towels and everything we needed to make our stay perfect. As mentioned in other reviews the road along to the parking is tight but we have a very large car and managed it without to much of a problem, the neighbours all seemed friendly. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return.

Family holiday

A beautiful home, had a lovely stay. Most things we needed were provided and the house is well maintained, but shocked there was no coffee maker even though it was listed. We bought a caffetiere and left it there. It is advisable to bring a fan as windows need to be kept closed due to the very noisy neighbour and 4am seagulls - lovely as they are, they are loud! Take great care driving out onto main road, a blind exit. A big struggle to vacate by 9am with a baby and toddler, we felt under pressure and accidentally left things behind in the rush. Not being able to check in until after 5pm and having to leave by 9am feels as though we were overcharged as we missed the best part of a day. One of the keys doesn't work for the back door, we had a struggle trying to get out. Overall, a nice place, worked well most of the time. (I don't suggest you publish this review, I just wanted to bring some things to your attention).

Beautiful home from home

We spent 2 weeks at Kenmare and enjoyed it greatly. It is tastefully decorated, comfortable, very well furnished and considering the current restrictions we'll equipped. There is plenty of room for a family, the playroom is a great idea stocked with a TV, wii, dvds, board games and a comfy sofa. We would give the house 9.5/10.

Lovely cottage in excellent location

Beautifully decorated cottage, spacious, clean and with everything you could want. Carpets seemed new as so soft and clean. Decor was lovely. Furniture very comfortable and so much space in the whole property. Kitchen had everything you could need. They even supplied hand sanitiser, soap and washing up liquid as well as milk and cakes left for us. The large parking space was a bonus and the garden was lovely with plenty of chairs and table for outside dining when weather permitted. Table tennis table was folded away but easy to get out and put back. Wii games and board games for us and granddaughter to play. The location is excellent, 10 mins walk from the beach, two mins from town and 5 mins from good choice of restaurants. Shanklin Chine is also 10mins walk away. We walked to Sandown a few times, approx 30 - 40 min walk. Kenmare Cottage is lovely and if visiting IOW in future, we would definitely stay here again if able.

Very nice house well kept . Only two complaints shower not very powerful but worked sufice and the neighbours have a hottub in the small garden and were very noisy with loud music until the early hours of the morning.

Perfect in every way

A stunning holiday rental,perfect for exploring the whole of the island. The house was immaculate, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. Full Covid measures had been taken and we all felt safe and reassured by this. Off road parking is a bonus but a bit tricky as access is via a narrow road with small maneuvering room if you have a bigger car. Lots of outside space if whether permits with garden furniture and table tennis table.
