Dove cottage es una casa de campo Tudor restaurada y extendida en el corazón de Winchcombe. Está reformado a un nivel muy alto con muebles de alta calidad, cómodos, ropa de cama de alta calidad y obras de arte originales (el propietario es una artista muy conocida, Katharine Dove). Es ideal para dos parejas que buscan una casa de campo con dos habitaciones dobles de carácter igualmente encantadoras y dos baños. Alternativamente, sería adecuado para cuatro adultos o una familia.
El dormitorio principal tiene un cuarto de baño con ducha doble y una cama doble de 5 pies.
El segundo dormitorio grande está en el piso superior y tiene una cama con cremallera y eslabón que puede ser una cama doble de 6 pies o dos camas individuales de 3 pies con baño familiar junto a la puerta del dormitorio. We had a lovely stay in this very pretty Tudor Cottage. The cottage was extremely well-equipped, immaculately clean and had very tasteful decor. Winchcombe too was a beautiful town. The owner provided everything we needed and was very helpful and communicative.

We are sorry the shower doors had come loose. It may have happened during cleaning as we have a new cleaner. We have been in and repaired (they are pretty new and high quality shower enclosures i.e. only a couple of years old). /We have been in and put them back on their runners and will talk to our cleaner as she had probably not realised that they had come off - I know she is working hard to get the place really clean and this may have caused the problem.

Cotswold Way Walking Weekend

Characterful, quirky property with everything we needed. Central location in Winchcombe was perfect for our walking holiday, though single pane windows and overnight roadworks did make for a noisy first night, much better the second night.

Such a charming place. Loved the experience of staying in a Tudor cottage. Beautifully decorated, great location, walking distance to Sudeley Castle, lovely pubs and groceries. Definitely recommend this place.

Perfect cottage and combination of old and new

We REALLY enjoyed our visit to Winchcombe, and staying at the Dove Cottage was a highlight. It is exactly as advertised, with flexible accommodations, a central location, and responsive, friendly hosts. We would stay here again without hesitation. Upon your arrival, we highly recommend a pint of real ale in the back garden of the Lion Inn, just two minutes away. Dinner there, and at the local Indian place, was great too.

Very pleasant place to stay

Charming and comfortable cottage in a small town with fascinating history and also at the intersection of several hiking trails. We had the best sleep each night. The gallery art in the cottage added flair and interest. We would definitely recommend Dove Cottage.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. There are places to hang clothes and hangers provided in the top bedroom. Given the shape of the room a wardrobe would not be possible in that room.

Wonderful accommodations

This was our second stay in Dove Cottage and we love it. Charming cottage with lots of room. Convenient location to other Cotswolds villages, and to local shops, restaurants, and pubs. Parking in the Back Lane lot is very easy. Hope to return for another visit

Excellent location

Loved it! First time in this part of the Cotswolds and found this to be an ideal location to explore from. Local restaurants were very good. Beds were very comfortable. Definitely recommend! Surely Castle was well worth the visit.

Extremely well suited for two couples. Comfortable, roomy, clean, charming, and in an excellent location for visiting The Cotswolds. Within walking distance of shops, pubs, and restaurants. Couldn't have been happier with our choice of lodging.

We really enjoyed our holiday at Daisy Cottage. It is very cozy and lovingly furnished, and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. Everything is designed to make guests feel comfortable right away. You feel very welcome. One day before our arrival, we received an email from the host with lots of important information and tips, which helped us settle in immediately.Winchcombe is a charming little town with small shops and a larger supermarket. Although it is very beautiful here, the place is not overcrowded. You can start wonderful long walks or hikes directly from the cottage. We had a truly lovely time here.

Special home in a very special location

Dove Cottage, in the historic town of Winchcombe, has been lovingly restored to welcome its visitors. Within 2 blocks of Dove Cottage, visitors can find everything they need. Lots of opportunity for walks through the Cotswolds and opportunities to explore the fascinating history of the area. Bus service to places further afield is excellent, so day trips are easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Just what we wanted!

Lovely property in great location. Everything was as advertised. Well equipped but would have found extra tea towels and hand towels for kitchen and downstairs cloakroom useful .

An art and countryside lover's paradise

This is a really lovely property set in the heart of charming Winchcombe but at the same time very secluded. The property is very well equipped and light and cosy even in the depths of winter (we stayed mid December), there are lots of lovely pubs and eating places within walking distance and easy access to Sudeley Castle and great country walks. And if you are an art-lover you are in paradise - with so much original artwork on the walls - a real treat.

Amazing Cottage

The Dove Cottage was absolutely perfect! We traveled from Texas to visit the town my great grandmother was born in. The home provided us a great space to fit 3 adults and 2 children. We had a beautiful sitting room to enjoy our family coming to visit from cheltenham. The cottage was filled with beautiful art and so much love. Loved the North Bakery close by.

Fabulous!

We stayed at Dove Cottage for 5 days but wished we could have stayed for longer. This accommodation was fantastic, lovely and clean, lovely art :) The location is perfect and the car park for a pound was literally a 5 minute walk at most so a bargain. It is a lovely little cottage in a beautiful village which we would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

Great location with lovely garden

A lovely property in central Winchcombe. Very pleasant and spacious. But do specify in advance how you want the beds made up as were expecting a double as shown in the picture but it was only made up as a single.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay I'm sorry you were disappointed with your bed set up. We always email to let our guests know how the beds will be made up and ask for any amendments. Unfortunately you phoned us to tell us you required a different bed set up just a few hours before your stay and we already completed our housekeeping.

Kate (the artist Katharine Dove) I live in Cheltenham andI spend my time painting, walking my dogs, travelling and playing tennis. My artwork is sold across the world through De Montfort Fine Art the Clarendon galleries. My paintings often feature the Cotswolds and Cornwalls, two places where I'm very much at home.

I was keen not just to have a holiday home but also to contribute to the local art community.

Dove cottage provided both a beautiful cottage and also a sitting room that doubles up as an art gallery from time to time. When not let as a holiday cottage it is a gallery for local artists to display their work. We are also hoping it will attract residencies, artists coming from all over the country to paint and display their work in the gallery while staying in the cottage. Different artists will be in the gallery each week working and displaying their art.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The opportunity to stay in a cottage that is not only beautiful but also showcases a unique variety of original art. The whole cottage will from time to time be used as a gallery and so the art on display will be changed regularly. The sitting room has a large inglenook fireplace with log burner.

For artists the unique benefit is the opportunity to stay in a property from which they can paint and also display and sell their work.

For other guests the cottage is beautifully and comfortably furnished. The rooms are spacious and everything is on your doorstep - butcher, baker (all the old fashioned high street shops) and many bars and restaurants.

Winchcombe is vibrant small town and the gallery fronts onto the Cotswold Way. All we have to do is open the front door to the gallery and we have lots of interested visitors..
