Exceptional Stay & an Amazing HostDeborah is truly an outstanding host, and this place was top-notch in every way. I travel frequently with friends, family, and my beloved furbabies, and for me, the place and environment matter a lot. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home.We booked very last minute and were quite stressed, as we couldn’t secure anything until just a day prior. Deborah kindly accepted our booking and made everything absolutely perfect for us.Our group had different expectations, and this property met them all beautifully. I was looking for a serene, cozy space to relax, reset, and start the new year peacefully. My friends wanted a safe and comfortable environment for game nights and New Year celebrations without worry. My furbabies needed space to run, explore, and stay secure—and this place delivered on every front.Meeting the friendly horses was such a lovely experience, and the surroundings were simply beautiful.There was a small misunderstanding about the pool being open year-round, and Deborah handled it with complete understanding. She went above and beyond by offering sledding for our group of 10, which was incredibly thoughtful. We had an amazing day sledding down multiple hills while our furbabies safely enjoyed the space around us.This is by far one of the best places we have ever booked, and I would absolutely stay here again.Deborah, thank you for being such a wonderful host.

We had a great time. We were two families with 4 adults adn 4 kids and stayed for 1 week. The place was large and we were extremely comfortable. It's worth mentioning how clean the house was compared to other rentals that we have stayed at. The kitchen was very well stocked with basics as well as plenty of cooking items. The pool was amazing and was definitely the best part for us. They had so many pool toys, beach towels, and lawn games. The host, Deborah, was really wonderful. She communicated well and helped us with anything we needed. Deborah lives on the property and she opened and closed the pool every day. Even so, we never felt at any point that we were being monitored or anything like that. It felt very private, and we had the bonus of having someone help take care of things on a daily basis.We did a horse riding experience at the stables, which was wonderful. We also did some little excursions that the kids really enjoyed--the Peterborough Zoo, blueberry picking, and the Wutai Shen Temple. Shopping was easy with Peterborough and Millbrook so close, and Bethany is just 2 minutes away for basic general store needs. Would be more than happy to stay there again in the future.

I stayed with my grownup children & grandchildren and we had a fantastic time. Deborah was accessible when needed and easy to talk with. Loved the double pool and it was used constantly. Definitely would stay again.

Amazing Family Vacation

We spent over a week at the property, and everybody enjoyed the facility and hospitality of the host. The beds were comfy, the pool was warm, and there was plenty of room for us to sprawl out, play games, and explore. The horses were the perfect backdrop for a relaxing vacation, and were complimented by the views.

April Wedding

We just hosted our small, 40 guest wedding at Sky Haven this past weekend. Everything was absolutely incredible. The weather didn’t want to cooperate for us, so everything was held indoors in the atrium and it fit our group perfectly. Deborah was an absolute delight to work with and she was so so helpful as we had to adjust our plans. Our guests and wedding party absolutely adored the location and it was such a great place to spend the weekend with all of our closest friends and family. We used the lower suite for the girls to get ready on the day of, and we felt like we had so much space to keep separate from the groomsmen.

Pet friendly with big pool and games room

Host was very friendly and communication was great. Pet friendly was a bonus. Even though they were on site, host was good about giving privacy

Amazing place

Amazing stay! I had a group of friends (15 total and our dogs) to celebrate my up coming wedding and this place was the most perfect location. Lots of space indoors and out to play games and hangout. Deborah was so helpful and everything was a breeze.

Amazing family weekend!

This place is just amazing. We were 18 adults and 3 kids and we all enjoyed our stay. The kids had fun in the pool, the trampoline and play structure. Enough space for everyone while being outside by the BBQ and pool or inside. The host is great and attentive. She responds quickly to any requests. The kitchen has everything you need (and more) for cooking meals and serving them. I highly recommend it. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic family getaway

Our family had a great extended weekend here at this beautiful cottage! We had lots of young kids in our group and none of them were ever bored. There were so many activities available to us at the cottage, with the main attraction being the double heated pool. It was great to have Deborah show us around and always available when we had any questions. Highly recommend this cottage and would love to return in the future!

Family Vacation

We were absolutely thrilled with everything! Our host was amazing! From initial contact at booking, through the entire stay and departure, she was available and extremely helpful. The property was immaculate and perfect for our family of 10 adults and many small children. There was lots to do on site and space for everyone. The play area and pool were our favourites! The kitchen was very well appointed for cooking, baking and barbecueing. We rate it 5+ stars!

Canada trip in June

Debra was an amazing host her outdoor area was amazing with heated pool. She also made great recommendations of some places to go nearby. Port Perry is definitely a nice place to go. It’s only 20 minutes away and has great restaurants. Definitely will go back if I’m in that area again

Family wedding stay

Great for a family group, lots to do. Deborah was very accommodating and checked in regularly to ensure all was well. Beautiful setting for pre wedding event and photos. Very clean and kitchen had everything we needed. A few updates/ refreshes would align more with the price, one bedroom was quite warm as it didn’t have a window for air flow.

Amazing retreat an hour away from Toronto

Deborah's cottage is an exceptional retreat. Her proactive and detailed communication before our arrival ensured a seamless check-in. Despite residing in the adjacent wing, Deborah respected our privacy while remaining easily reachable for any needs via text. The well-decorated living space provided every amenity, creating a cozy and stress-free environment. A unique highlight was the on-site equestrian school, offering an enlightening horseback riding session. Erica, the knowledgeable instructor, shared her passion and expertise, making the experience enjoyable for riders of all levels. From the impeccable accommodations to the added charm of the equestrian school, Deborah's cottage surpassed our expectations. Bliss at Sky Haven Retreat

We had a fantastic time at Sky Haven during our family reunion in August! The cottage stay was a true delight. The well-equipped kitchen made cooking a breeze, and the great pool added an extra layer of relaxation to the trip. It was wonderful to see how kid-friendly the place was, and the horse-riding opportunity was a big hit. We shouldn't forget to appreciate Erica's patience during the horse riding lessons. The pool table and indoor activities kept not only the youngsters but also the adults busy. Overall, it was a PERFECT getaway for families and anyone looking to unwind amidst beautiful surroundings. Perfect for all Ages!!!

Deborah's property exceeded our expectations for our diverse group of 14, spanning ages 6 to 85! Breathtaking views and lots of activities for everyone! The pool was definitely the highlight for the children. We really appreciated how there were lots of towels and pool toys available (one less thing to worry about!). There were also a variety of outdoor games like cricket, badminton and spike ball. During the evenings we took advantage of the billiard table and shuffleboard. The property was exactly as described and we would not hesitate to return for another stress free little getaway. Overall, great location, well equipped with all basic necessities, lots of privacy and spacious for large groups.

Bachelorette

Our stay here for the bachelorette was AMAZING. The property is breathtaking and Deborah was a great host. Our stay was all adults but would also be great with family's as there is a swing set and trampoline aswell as the STUNNING pool. Her one dog kept us company all weekend which was also a bonus. 10/10

Our time was too short!

The home was clean, spacious, with a billiards table, shuffle board, atrium, patio, out door speakers, BBQ and big pool filled with lots of toys to keep everyone busy! Deborah and her family lives on the property but you wouldn't know it. If you needed anything she was ready by text. We have a big family and hosted a BBQ pool day. Did not know there would be an event fee, requirement of life guard and rental of portable washroom as sceptic tank can't handle more than 30 people but it was understandable, worked out and was worthwhile so please be aware of this, if you plan to do the same. Our weekend there was too short!

Perfect place to stay for visiting MOSPORT

This is a beautiful property to stay at. There are stunning views of the surrounding rolling hills. The grounds are kept up nicely. The house was built with high quality materials and furnished with quality pieces as well. It is also very well equipped with all the cooking and serving implements you will need. We had access to the beautiful pool and grilling area. The beds were comfortable and equipped with all the linens you will ever need. Our group was hauling race cars to go to MOSPORT. There was plenty of room to park our trailers, and easy entry and exit from the property. If you have ever pulled a trailer, you know how important that is. The house is an easy 20 minute drive to the track. Deborah was a fantastic host!! She met us at arrival and told us all about the property and what it has to offer. She promptly answered all of our text questions. She always made sure we had what we needed. Everyone in our group enjoyed our stay and we would absolutely stay here again.
