Response was timely and 75.00 was held from deposit for broken place setting plates and extremely dirty conditions reported by cleaning. Pictures were taken and reported timely. First time we have ever had to hold some deposit for damaged property.

We were happy that we were able to accommodate and extend your listing the day that you arrived considering such short notice and due to the reservation being on New Years holiday. We did this at the discounted rate as well! I was also happy that even though it was a considerable bookkeeping pain on my end I was able to split all the payments up per your request so that your family could pay separately for the reservation. Still a pain with the deposit refund. We also graciously extended the due date on all the second payments by 14 days, well past the due date. We wish that the rental would have been left in better condition as we agreed considering we extended it by a day leaving limited time to turn for our next guest. The listing shows that it is a basement apartment and our upstairs tenants have always been very respectable. Considering the last minute extension (tenants didn't expect guests) and the New Year holiday there was definitely lifestyle noise that should have been expected. We have a new full stackable unit for washing and drying that you were informed was temporary down waiting for stacking brace. Thank you for stating that would be "no problem." I appreciate your expertise and comments as you mentioned you manage or own your own vacation rental. We updated the listing to mention now multiple times the basement apartment and seasonal recreation (provided by upstairs tenants). We love our hometown and are so proud that we are situated in such a great location close to all the fun activities that anyone could be seeking.
