Casa Grande, un paraíso frente al mar

El apartamento está a 5 minutos en coche del aeropuerto (no hay ruido de avión) ya 10 minutos del centro de la ciudad o tienda de comestibles. Estamos situados en propiedad privada frente al mar con paseo en el acceso a la playa. Usted tendrá un hermoso patio de dos caras con vistas a un hermoso faro antiguo y el océano. El interior es moderno, totalmente amueblado y grande. Un montón de espacio para una familia de seis o tres parejas. Grande para los buceadores y los buceadores, los sail-boarders, los wind-surfers, los adoradores del sol, los aventureros o la colocan detrás y leen un libro.

La casa tiene 2 apartamentos (arriba es el uso del propietario). Usted será el alquiler de la planta primera que tiene una cocina de 15 'x 15' totalmente equipada abierta que domina la piscina de agua salada y el océano. Se abre a la sala de comedor, sala de estar y amplias zonas de patio. El mobiliario es grande y cómodo (no plástico) y con las cortinas abiertas en dos lados es luminoso y ventilado. Aire acondicionado está en las habitaciones sólo y siempre hay una buena brisa a través de la casa. Hay TV, WiFi y una caja fuerte en el dormitorio principal. El dormitorio principal es muy grande y los otros dos son más que adecuado. Cada habitación tiene armarios empotrados, estanterías y aire acondicionado. Los pisos son de cerámica en todo. Los baños son de buen tamaño con grandes cabinas de ducha. El apartamento está equipado con un sistema de alarma.

This was a wonderful place to stay! The only downside was not having cool air in the house..it was only available in the bedrooms. It would be great to have it in the common area and make this stay that much more comfortable. Everything else was absolutely perfect!

Our family of 4 loved this home for its spacious kitchen, private pool, waterfront access, and its huge gated dive locker. We've previously stayed at Sand Dollar and Crown Ridge 1. This location was more convenient (and less congested) and we were only 10 min from Van Den Tweel. The local house manager, Paula, was exceptionally responsive and the home is nicely provisioned and clean. I was hesitant about the lack of AC in the living area but there was a good cross breeze when we opened the front door and we were all comfortable for 10 days in December. The reef out front is a further swim than most but we had excellent dives from the house which was convenient with our Jr Divers (there can be strong current at times). My family ranked Casa Grande as their favorite Bonaire rental so far.

Another great trip

As in the last 3 stays at Casa Grande, everything was wonderful. So peaceful and comfortable, we are booked for next year again to celebrate Ron’s 80th birthday. Great location and amenities

Water view, lovely pool area and plenty of comfortable spaces to use together or have alone time. It was really hot so the pool was a blessing for quick cool downs. Multiple places for outdoor meals and a reasonable amount of kitchen tools for meal prep. Plenty of parking space for our two rental vehicles.

Paradise House

We have been coming to Bonaire for 20 years and this was by far the best place we stayed in. Loved the ocean views and the well equipped kitchen. Blown away!

We have used VRBO's often in the Caribbean, mostly beachfront and this home was the best so far. The three bedrooms were comfortable with the master also having a seating area. Everything is well appointed. The pool, porch and oceanfront are the clearly unique features. Just wonderful.

Best vacation ever!

Our stay at Casa Grande was fabulous! From the oceanfront location and beautiful views (gorgeous sunsets, almost daily rainbows!) to the perfectly appointed house, this 2 week vacation was a most memorable one for our friends and family. Francey (our property contact) was so very helpful and Lisa (property owner) was always available whenever we had questions! This property was perfect and we hope to be back soon!!!

Oceanfront house, quiet location!

Luxurious house in a quiet location. Loved the healthy house reef, where we saw eagle rays and turtles swimming by in shallow water. The fenced in huge scuba rinse and storage area was perfect. It included a sink, tubs, hangers….. We also appreciated the wrap around covered porch to eat meals and dry equipment. The tiki hut and pool were outstanding also! Hope to return!

Thoroughly enjoyed, can’t wait ‘til next time!

My family and I had an outstanding experience at this property, and will absolutely stay here again! Our 10 nights were highlighted by the great views and walk in ocean access. We also enjoyed proximity and access to the Delfins Resort right next door. The property, both inside and out, was large, spacious and in great condition. The local property host, Francey, was extremely helpful, responsive and easily accessible day and night. We highly recommend, and are already planning our next visit….

The water is great

The views are over the top. From gorgeous water to flamingo in flight everyday from the patio, it was great. Very well furnished. If I had to find a fault, I would say that the no air in the living room and kitchen sometimes was not great. We survived and made us stay at the pool more. Great house.

❤️Casa Grande

Once again a wonderful time at Casa Grande. Had a full house this time (6) and plenty of room for all of us. We had a couple of glitches but they were all taken care of quickly once the former manager, Francey, and the current manager, Paula, got together on them and we were happy divers, especially with the new dish washer❤️ This is definitely our home away from home for all future visits. This made 3 times, Thanks to all involved but especially Ann and Lisa for opening up this fantastic place for all to experience.

Location, location, location!

Great location and view. We walked out to the water every morning to watch the ocean as the sun came up - just beautiful. Also loved having dinner on the back porch watching the waves crash on the shore. Having the Delfin’s resort and dive shop right next door proved super convenient for dive tank exchanges and an easy meal. Convenient to town and both southern and northern dive sites. Well stocked kitchen. Be sure to read the directions on keys. Property manager, Francey, was super helpful and responsive.

Location, Location, Location!!

This beautiful home is at the absolute best location. It's in a quite area that is 5 min form the airport and 10 min from town. Its location next to Delfins resort is such a convenience. At 5 min walk to the dive shop, restaurant and bars. Great snorkeling and swimming area right off the beach. The home comes with everything you could possibly need. (Including a new gas grill). Covered back porch and pool area are great places to relax. If you are traveling with older kids or another couple, renting mopeds is a great way for everyone to have the freedom to do different things. You can take them everywhere on the island! Brian

The place to be ❤️

We spent 9 days at Casa Grande. We had a great time as the house is the best of everything. Privacy, location, views and comfort. Morning coffee from the porch to sunsets at the beach to dinner on the patio with the breeze and sounds of the ocean. Our party was able to get in a few great night dives right off the back yard. Having that kitchen gave us the ability to control our food expenses as well our dietary needs. Loved the private pool and diver dunking center. The attention to the small details added the perfect touch. Excellent service from Fran and Lisa were greatly appreciated. The quiet neighborhood beats a noisy reset any day. I promise this house is the place you want to be.

Wonderful experience

We have been to Bonaire many times and stayed in several different places. Casa Grande was by far our favorite for a smaller group. It is very clean, spacious and well appointed. The kitchen has everything you could need, including lots of Tupperware for storing dry foods and leftovers (A special thanks for that. No ziplocs necessary!) Francey was so sweet and attentive. The few things that did need attention were acknowledged and taken care of immediately. The pool was very private and pleasant. A wonderful escape from the heat of the day in between dives. Very, very quiet neighborhood even though it is next to a resort. Great view of the sunset from the deck and the dining table under the palapa was fantastic. The rinse tank/gear drying/ dive staging area was also spacious and convenient. Thanks, Lisa and Francey, for making our first week so delightful! We will definitely be back!

The best!

This was our second stay at Casa Grande and we are not going anywhere else on Bonaire again. The location is so nice and peaceful, beautiful sunsets looking out over the seas and the flowers and birds that greeted us every morning, just heavenly! Lisa is so great to work with and it was so nice to meet the owner this time, her mother Ann who was there celebrating her 80th birthday. We were so lucky to be part of that. This place is well equipped with anything you could possibly need. I think pots and pans were better than mine There is a new gas grill with plenty of propane supplied. The pool area was a great place to hang out, nice breezes under a nice palapa with plenty of lounge chairs for a group of 6. We stayed in the master bedroom which is huge and comfortable with air units for comfortable temperatures for sleeping. We were only 2 this year, but we are booked for next year already for 6, plenty of room. We have found our home away from home for as long as we can travel. Thank you Lisa and Ann for a very special stay ❤️

Location, location, location!

The home is magnificent with an amazing location, ocean view and outside living space. The diving in front of the house is awesome and so is the outside rinse area. The kitchen is well appointed and functional and the comfort of the home is spot on. The outdoor living space is phenomenal and the pool is off the charts! Just wish we’d had PM meet us on the 1st day to help with all the keys, gate fob and pool bathroom, which we hadn’t yet discovered Lol! Have PM show you how to use the grill-we swapped tanks and had 2 engineers try to get it fired up for our Friday evening grill fest-oh well. The other thing to be aware of is the full price of house rent and damage deposit are due in full at the time of booking, unlike most of all the other VRBO bookings. Overall, this home is fantastic and we will definitely be back!

Over all nice

Grand home, lots of space and overall comfortable. When it was built it was certainly grandiose and modern for the times. Today it is showing it’s age and lack of renovations. It is tired from the outdoor furniture to the kitchen accessories, although plentiful, but very worn out. Cutting boards , knives, cooking containers are as old as the house. Big kudos to Francey the property manager! Very responsive and quick to solve issues. The BBQ outside was in a very poor shape, I messaged her and explained that it was basically rusted and the burners were unsafe. A brand new 4 burner BBQ was delivered and set up the next day. I certainly recommend it, however the value for the asking dollars is not there anymore. Specially when compared to brand new villas with all modern furnishings and appliances is significantly less. If you absolutely need to be on the water front, then this villa is unique,

Beautiful property but too hot.

Pros - The best feature of this house is the area outside for rinsing off your dive gear and hanging it up to dry, with an entrance at the driveway. The kitchen and master bedroom are very spacious. The master bedroom and the nearest bedroom have bathrooms within. The kitchen has a dishwasher and adequate supplies. There are two tables outside tables for eating and another in the pool area. There is a private pool in a very inviting gated area outside. The Cons - When we woke up in the morning the house was really hot. There are air conditioning units available in the bedrooms for use, but you can not use them to cool down the entire living quarter. The pool is only cleaned two days a week. Debris and plant material is blown into it constantly. When it was vacuumed properly, it was very relaxing. I did contact the property manager several times about issues and then decided not to bother them anymore. Aside from the lack of A/C, the biggest issue for me was the tiny biting bugs. I don't know if there was standing water in the drain in the bathroom in the master bedroom. But that bathroom always had bugs in it. I would wake up in the morning with bites on my legs. To be clear, this were not Bedbugs. But definitely something in the room.

HI Susan, Yes, Bonaire is very hot in the summer but I believe our descriptions states that only the bedrooms have A/C. Most people on the island cannot afford to have the A/C running all day as it's very costly and they units tend to freeze up and then there is no A/C. We had someone out the very same day and they did not find any bugs, you might have gotten mosquito's in the house. I am not sure as we've never had anyone else have this issue before. We're sorry to hear you had issues, come back in the beginning of the year when Bonaire is not so hot and the weather is amazing.

As the previous owner of a scuba diving tour company and an avid diver Bonaire was one of my favorite islands. I started building Casa Grande around 2010 and it is finally finished, luxury pool and all. Although I live in Florida I spend my winters on Bonaire and enjoy the peaceful oceanfront view, wonderful breezes and quiet ambiance. I enjoy snorkeling, swimming, reading mysteries and painting in my spare time. I originally built the downstairs apartment for my children but they do not come that often and I finally realized it is a shame to leave it unoccupied. It is a beautiful apartment with a fantastic oceanfront view. I love to watch the sail boarders, dive boats and sail boats go by out of course, I get to see the cruise ships arriving and departing almost daily. I also love to cook and I have huge kitchens in both apartments.

The apartment is a 5 minute drive from the airport and 10 minutes to downtown or grocery store. We are situated on private oceanfront property with walk in beach access.
