This Luxurious Suite has, a queen over queen bunk and a Queen of twin bunk, full bathroom It is the perfect getaway for a small family or group, and sleeps 8. This property features a kitchenette with mini fridge, coffeemaker, microwave and sink, and also a front porch next to the pool....!!

You will have access to our fully stocked outdoor kitchen/pavilion with plenty of outdoor seating. It has everything your family needs, like a gas grill, wood smoker pit, regular wood pit, open top grill, and all the pots, pans, utensils and kitchenware you need to cook an amazing outdoor meal for you and your family. There is plenty of seating in our outdoor pavilion with an 65" Smart TV for your entertainment. Forget your Netflix/Hulu login? We have DirecTV! and 250mg fiber wifi
We furnish sheets and pillowcases you need to bring your towels.​

Quiet time is 10pm.
Pets are allowed in this suite for a $100 fee.
However, we do have some guidelines;
35lb maximum, non-aggressive breeds, non-shedding and must have prior approval from the owner.

All of our properties are smoke-free.

Clean and comfortable

We throughly enjoyed are stay! Rooms were clean and comfortable. For our first time to float the Frio river Donnie was an amazing helpful host with tips and suggestions on what other area attractions there were to do with kids.

Great space

We had Axels Hideaway as an extra space to the big house rental, and it was perfect for a few guests that didnt want to be in the house with all the noise. Would definitely recommend.

Couldn't ask for a better place to stay on the Frio!

This was such a fun place to stay - so close to the river, a great outdoor area for play, cooking, and eating. Everything is available for you onsite to allow you to enjoy the river and relax. Donny is a great host and makes sure your staff is all you want (and more). Thanks for a great week!

Labor Day Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Donny's place. The room was very clean, beds were comfortable and a/c worked perfect! Donny was a great host and we will definitely be coming back! The location to the river is perfect. Just a short drive or walk and you're there. The outdoor kitchen, patio is perfect for hanging out and cooking. However, there are places to eat close by if you don't feel like cooking. We ate at Neal's Dining Room almost every meal. Good eating there! There's also the House Pasture restaurant that we did not get to check out, but I've heard good things about it.

Wonderful host

Donny was one of if not the best host/person I have met. He is truly a great person who cares about his property and guests. Rooms were well kept, hotel style kitchenette minus microwave (inside). Great location and one of few that allow you to park by the river. I didn’t mind the outdoor cooking pavilion with a minor issue pertaining to clean pots, pans, utensils available. You can tell they once were all stocked but with all the guests misused misplaced. Pool was colder than Frio but we enjoyed it. Few minor issues that don’t take away from this great place were mini fridge not plugged in and took awhile to cool, missing 1 tv remote, bathroom sink, I’m guessing had a “breather “, leaked. None of these were brought to Donny attention due to unforeseen circumstances, which he was very helpful with and understanding. If nothing else I’d rebook just for his great hospitality and true care for his property and guests.

This place was great in all aspects..

The owner and manager were very helpful and hospitable. They are very pet friendly. The location was perfect and very private. The river was a short walking distance. The cabin was cozy with very comfortable beds. We felt very welcomed! We will visit again!

Great place and Great host!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Donny was an amazing host and Jimmy was a tremendous help on site. The location was perfect, Jimmy took us up river to drop in so we could float back to our rental. Easy peasy! Also the picnic tables they had out front in the river made perfect opportunity for people watching and enjoying the river even more. The community kitchen was a nice place to meet other people staying on the property loaded with all the things you need in order to grill. The pool was nice and refreshing as well. Looking forward to staying again!

Porters Treehouse is a wonderful accommodation for our large and diverse family, kids really enjoy it. We never used the pool, as we love the river.

Wonderful Experience

We stayed here two years ago and it was just as amazing this year as it was then. I would highly recommend this place. Donny has created the perfect getaway spot on the Frio. Can’t wait to see y’all again in 2022.

Great weekend getaway.

Property was amazing and clean. We went during the slow time of the season so the property was pretty much empty which was amazing for us. The Frio is literally a few hundred feet from the rooms, where you can back up your vehicle and sit and float in the river. Donny was always available when I called before and during our stay. Erik was always on-site and was very friendly as well. We will definitely come back and stay again. I highly recommend this place if your looking for a little get away on the Frio.

Excellent family getaway

Our family needed some down time to relax and have some fun together. This was the perfect place! The river was just a small walk away, room was great and fit our large family of 8. The outdoor kitchen and gathering area was wonderful! We loved swimming and kayaking. Everyone was so helpful (shuttling when needed) and going out of there way to accommodate us. Thank you! We have already decided to make this a family Tradition!

AMAZING!!!!

Wow. What an awesome time we had here! Donny and Sid made our stay everything we could have wanted and more. They were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The room was amazing. You just can’t get a better place to hang out by the river. It’s literally STEPS away. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks for a memorable trip!!
