The villa combines modern comforts and traditional charm and is fully equipped with everything you need.

The space
The village of Oros is located at the bottom of Vrisinas mountain, 15km outside the old Venetian town of Rethymnon, close to the road heading from Rethymnon to Spili/Plakias, providing quick access to both the North side of the island (Rethymnon / Cretan Sea 15min drive), and the South side (Plakias, Libyan Sea, 20min drive).

Spacious, clean, well equipped Villa in the most beautiful location. Stunning views of the mountains! Filippos was a great host, very responsive and gave us great tips to get the most out of our stay

Amazing Villa and Location

This villa was such a lucky find, so beautiful inside and clean and stunning gardens and pool area. We arrived on the name day celebrations and were invited by the host and family to join them. The streets were filled, food and drink served and live music played. The area is perfectly situation in the mountains in a quiet village but only a short drive to the coast north and south and attractions. The host Fillippos was the best, so helpful and welcoming. Already booked again for next year.

Amazing property

We rented the house for 8 people. The property is huge with a pool house. The access can be tricky but it’s only 20min from Rethymno and less than 30min from many southern and northern beaches. Thanks for Filippos for his various recommendations that were always spot on! Highly recommend for a Cretan retreat !

Villa très agréable et idéalement située

Villa très agréable et bien équipée dans un très beau jardin, au calme à 20 min de Rethymon et proche des plages du sud. Ideal pour visiter l ouest de l île. Filippos notre hôte est très attentif à notre bien être et à notre écoute, il a aussi de bonnes adresses à faire partager. Notre séjour était parfait.

Great Villa, Great location.

Lovely modern Villa with amazing views of the mountains. It is light and airy with lovely duel aspect bedrooms. Filippos is a great host, listen to his recommendations of beaches to visit and places to eat as they really are great. The local taverna was so amazing that we went 3 times best food we have eaten. The location of this Villa is great in that it is easy to visit both the beaches on the north and the south of the island which have different characteristics in about 30 minutes. We would return again.

Schöner Urlaub fernab vom Stress

Ein sehr schönes Haus auf dem Berg in Oros, was sich allerdings als ein Haupthaus mit Einliegerwohnung entpuppt hat. An sich kein Problem, stand nur nirgends.

Marco came along with his family. Great people and very friendly. We had an excellent communication and they respected the house like it was their own. I definitely recommend them and would love to have them as guests again!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in diesem großartigen, sehr gepflegten Ferienhaus. Äussert ruhig gelegen, eingebettet in einen tollen großen Garten mit einem fantastischem Weitblick bis zu den weissen Bergen war das Haus ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um sowohl die Süd- als auch die Nordküste Kretas zu erkunden. Dazu kam mit Filippos nicht nur ein überaus sympathischer, sondern auch sehr hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, der immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand, falls man Fragen hatte. Er hat uns darüberhinaus gerne mit Links versorgt, so daß das Auswählen und Aussuchen von Restaurants/Tavernas oder anderen Ausflugszielen ein Leichtes war. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Perfect accommodation

The house is situated in a very small village in the hills and is very beautiful: huge, nice pool, house decorated and equipped in a very tasteful and practical style. Huge facilities with very nice barbecue area and even a pizza oven where you can sit. Nice view over the mountains. Very good restaurant in the neighbouring village. Good if you do not want to be at the beach every day. However, very nice beaches not too far. But you need a car. Very likeable and helpful owner!

Kleines Paradise

Corona zwang uns kurzfristig unseren Urlaub zu ändern und hierher zu kommen. Aber es war kein Notlösung es war der Hauptpreis. Filippos ist ein sehr guter Gastgeber, der das richtige Gespür für Menschen hat. Er ist mit Herzblut dabei und versorgt einen bei Bedarf mit Tipps und Infos zur Umgebung, bleibt dabei aber angenehm unaufdringlich. Die Villa (gefällt mir, das sie in griechischem Besitz ist) > Die Fotos lügen nicht. Wundervoller Platz zum relaxen, toller BBQ Platz, tolle Aussicht und ein hervorragender, zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Uneingeschränke Empfehlung von uns. Oder im Internetstil > 5 Sterne, Volle Punktzahl.

Despite the current global situation Stefan was brave enough to travel. He came along with his family. What beautiful people they were, always with a smile on their face. These are the kind of people all hosts want to have in their house. We had an excellent communication and they respected the villa like it was their own. They left the house in top condition and even suggested some great tips for improvement, which I’m always open to. I’d gladly welcome them back to the house and definitely recommend them as guests.

Hello!
My name is Filippos and I am here to make sure you have a pleasant and enjoyable stay at Oros Residence! Here is a short bio that will help you to get to know me a bit better.

I studied Audio Engineering in London, then moved back in Athens where i continued my studies in Cinematography. In my spare time i compose various styles of Electronic music. Music and the visual arts are things i enjoy doing very much, but my main focus and passion has moved towards the little villa located in Oros, Rethymno.
The last few years I have been living and working in Rethymno. My love for Crete and the small village of Oros kept making me return as often as I could to this special place, to the point where I decided to share it with the rest of the world! I have been the project manager for the interior and exterior renovation. Hosting has brought me close to meeting amazing new people that i didn't know existed. I'm aiming to welcome you to a friendly and functional environment and want to share with you the best side of Crete.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Oros residence is a magical place were time tends to slow down. I've spend all my teenage summers here growing up in this special house. I decided to open up the house to guest and for that we had to renovate it in 2016 and update it to have a more modern look and feel. Despite this the property has kept it's magic sent and tranquility and all people who have visited this place get to recharge with vital energy, relax and calm down.

The balcony looking at the pool is a fantastic place for having your breakfast or diner looking at the mountains of Lefka Ori while the sun sets down.
