The house consists of 5 identical apartments located in the heart of Polače. We have focused on simplicity&functionality cause our biggest assets are balconies/terraces overlooking the sea. Our guests spend the most timer there, enjoying the sunsets.
Apartment has two bedrooms with double bed. Fifth guest can sleep on sofa in living room. Apartments has two bathrooms, both with shower.
Kitchen is fully equipped and consist of refrigerator, stove, oven, kitchenware and dishwasher.
Apartments also has cozy dining area and living area with exit on balcony/terrace which overlooks sea.
We are sure that you'll spend lots of time on balcony enjoying in beautiful sunsets, having fun with family and friends.
1 minute by foot from our house is family owned restaurant called "Ogigija" with beautiful terrace just on the sea.
Family restaurant has a long tradition of preparing homemade, Mediterranean cuisine, going back to 1974. Several generations have grown up with the restaurant, always curious how to prepare a dish and thus created a love and passion. Just because of this passion for cooking, waitressing, many members of our family are working in the restaurant and for us there is no greater joy than the smile satisfied guests.
We invite you to taste many of our dishes which are prepared with love and fresh ingredients while you sit by the sea and enjoy the warm summer nights.
Mljet is the southernmost and easternmost of the larger Adriatic Islands of Dalmatia. It is the greenest Island with Mediterranean vegetation, a clear and clean sea, and a gentle sandy shoreline. National Park spreads on the western side of the Island (for over 54km2) and offers shady walking or cycling tracks, ancient ruins, and saltwater lakes. Entrances to NP Mljet is in Polače and Pomena.
The main places are Pomena, Polače, and Sobra and in those places, you may find supermarkets, ATMs, restaurants, travel agencies, souvenir shops, etc...
Island is regularly connected with Dubrovnik with a ferry from Dubrovnik or Korčula as well as a car ferry connection with Pelješac Peninsula on the Croatian mainland.
Polace is very popular among sailors and yachtsmen to do their anchorage there due to its sheltered position. It has a couple of restaurants and cafes, as well as a shop for basic provisions. There are also several places where guests can rent bicycles and scooters. You can choose between several restaurants to enjoy domestic Mediterranean cuisine or to relax on the beach.
The village has a number of ancient ruins dating from the 1st to the 6th centuries. Greatest significance is the Roman palace hence the name “Polace” from the 5th century whose walls dominate the village. This is one of the largest buildings in Dalmatia from the Roman period.
