Chalet Allières Walk to Grands Montets | Sleeps 10, Argentière (Chamonix), France

Set in the quiet hamlet of Argentière in Chamonix’s peaceful La Rosière area, Chalet Allières offers a tranquil mountain escape surrounded by nature. Facing south-southwest, the chalet enjoys sunshine throughout the day and beautiful views of the Mont Blanc massif, including Aiguille du Midi, Mont Blanc, and the Dôme du Goûter. Guests can admire these views from the balcony, terrace, and the large private garden of around 1,000 m². The chalet is ideally located just a 7-minute walk from the Grands Montets cable car, with shops only 4 minutes away by car (or around 25 minutes on foot through the forest along the Arve River). Several scenic walking trails begin directly from the chalet.

Built in 1990 and renovated in 2022, the chalet combines classic mountain charm with subtle 1960s architectural influences. It comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests and is ideal for families or groups. The fully equipped kitchen opens onto the dining and living area and includes modern appliances such as a dishwasher, oven, microwave, gas hob, Nespresso coffee machine, American fridge, freezer, food processor, toaster, kettle, and range cooker. The dining table seats eight guests and can extend to accommodate ten.

The chalet sits in a peaceful natural setting with forest walks nearby. The Grands Montets cable car is a 7-minute walk away, offering access to hiking trails and views of the Argentière glacier. Shops are just a 4-minute drive away, while Chamonix town centre can be reached in around 15 minutes by car or by regular bus service (line 2), with a stop about 300 m from the chalet.
