It was very secluded and peaceful in a Rustic setting. We got to enjoy seeing the deer and wild life around. We were less than 20 minutes from the Dream Park where my grandson was playing baseball. We loved having the three bedrooms and three bathrooms, washer and dryer. Would have liked a dishwasher but I’m very spoiled!

We were in town for my son's baseball tournament. The cottage was a great getaway from the crowds and lines of Cooperstown. Beautiful, private spot. The hosts were very kind, and easy to communicate with. We will always remember this trip!

A Hidden Gem

The property was perfect for our needs. We were two families who had kids playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park, so we were off-property much of the time. However, when we were there, we were able to take care of all that the property had to offer (pond for fishing, grill for cooking dinner, open space for wiffle ball, etc.) in a relaxing, serene environment. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed prior to arriving and during our stay. Check in and out was a breeze. We'd gladly stay again if we're in the area!

Don and Marie were awesome and the home was very nice and well equipped. They were very accommodating in a late request for a change in number of guests. The fishing pond was an added bonus and we enjoyed stepping off the deck and catching many bass. We would definitely stay there again.

Cooperstown baseball week

Was a great hideaway for us during our Cooperstown week. About 20min from dreams park parking lot. About 25 minutes to downtown Cooperstown. Definitely isolated away from everywhere which was a great break for us. The added bonus was the pond and two available fishing rods. We caught dozens of largemouth bass on fake worms and #6 hook/snells. If we had some poppers it would have been even better.Thank you,Chris

Cooperstown stay

Great property for those wanting peace and quiet. Easy to make food in the kitchen, two bathrooms with showers, washer and dryer, and pond with large-mouth bass [easy catching]. Property owners were easy to communicate with and live close. Neighbors were very friendly.

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay in Cooperstown. The house was well equipped for all our cooking needs. Extra towels and blankets. We did not need to buy anything extra. Having a washer and dryer was great so we could keep up with laundry. The view was amazing. We sat on the wonderful deck and watched deer in the side yard. Our son had a great time fishing in the pond. And lots of space to play wiffle ball. Being far off the main road we did have limited cell service at times but we had WiFi to make calls and were able to get texts. Easy drive into town for the Dream Park games. And not too far if you are at All Star Park. Great location and house. The owners were great. They communicated with us a few times to make sure we didn’t need anything. Check in and out were very easy.

Good cottage, great owners, accurate listing and photos

Owners, 6 out of 5 Excellent communication from reservation to check-out. Extremely thoughtful and considerate. Can't say enough nice things about them. Lovely people! Location, 4.5 out of 5 15-20 minutes from Dreams Park during daylight, slower at night due to winding roads and the need to slow down for wild animals. If you're a bougie suburbanite, you might want to consider a property with fewer turn-offs from route-28 and a more North/South orientation from Dreams Park. Overall, 4.5 out of 5 Again, the owners are 100% honest and transparent with property photos and descriptions, so the sub-5 rating is at least partially due to me not appreciating some subtleties, e.g. cottage (what this property is) vs. a house (what suits us better). The upstairs bedroom had a very low ceiling, enough for our 5-foot grandma and 5.5 foot teen daughters to hit their heads a few times. Master bathroom was smaller than expected, close to "too small" but just enough. Second full bathroom was quite nice by comparison. Kitchen water pressure was on the low side (relevant for washing dishes) but showers and bathroom sinks were fine. Plenty of towels and linens. Good value for the price, location and season - only advice would be to spend more money on a larger more modern place if you're a bougie suburbanite, or split a large property with a few families. But if you've been camping at least once willingly in your life, you may think my few critiques are silly downstate talk!

Nice remote house

Nice place, only stayed 2 nights and it rained quite a bit. Didn’t have chance to enjoy deck or pond. Very welcoming hosts!

Week Long Stay

We were able to meet Don. He was very friendly very helpful. He made it a point to come met with us in person and introduce himself. He called the day we checked in to make sure we made it ok and found everything ok. He made a special trip brought us replenished goods for the house. He was extremely kind and helpful with getting us directions to Cooper’s Town he printed them off for us and had them ready in the folder at the house as we checked in. The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of towels and blankets and everything thing we needed.

Relaxing country home experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. The check-in process was smooth and easy, the hosts were very personable, and the features and amenities were exactly as described. We would highly recommend this house to others and stay there again if the occasion arose.

Amazing place to stay and so relaxing! Everything was super clean and ready for us when we arrived! We were in and out alot going back and forth to Cooperstown Dreams Park and it was only 15 minutes from the park! Would definitely come back!

Country cabin

This is a great place tucked away in the woods. It was nice having all creature comforts of home available. We were there for our son to play at Dreams and we did the drive in 15 minutes. The hosts/owners, Don and Maria live just up the road and are so nice and checked in on us during our stay. We were the first guests of the season, and I’m certain that any one staying will enjoy their stay as much as we did.

Quiet secluded location. Owners were very accommodating

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The drive to Cooperstown dream park during the day was fine however at night it gets tricky. No lights and a bit of a drive if you are doing back and forth. The owners however provide clear driving instructions as the gps is not always reliable. It was definitely nice to come back to the cabin and enjoy the scenery and privacy after long days of baseball.

Great Stay!

Maria and Don are wonderful hosts great correspondence. Very clean, quite cabin located off the beaten path but still close to where you need to be. My son played at Dreams Park and it was only a 15 minute drive. This cabin is equipped with all the amenities you can possibly need. Our boys had a great time fishing in the bass pond. We enjoyed star gazing and deer spotting at night. Nice, quiet, refreshing retreat after some long days of baseball. Highly recommend staying here.

Great cottage!

It was perfect for our family of 4. Both our boys had their own bedroom. Our Master bedroom was great! With the Master full bathroom attached. It was easy to get ready and explore the area! The whole family said it was one of our best vacations! As parents, we especially liked the deck. Where we enjoyed the view of the great outdoors. A blue Heron came and visited the pond one day. And the next day a Bald Eagle flew right over the pond! He didn't stay, because he saw us. Closest an Eagle ever came by us! We will definitely recommend this cottage to others. And might even come back in the future. Loved the fact that it was 15 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Cooperstown and all the ice cream hungry ballplayers!

Pleasant Valley Hideaway country cottage has been in our family for years. It began as a hunting cabin when we were in our teens and has evolved into a comfortable get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday chores in our golden years. You can capture a view of deer, turkeys, ducks, fox, and various other wildlife from the deck. Fish for bass from our on-site pond and grill them up on the attached deck.

Pleasant Valley Hideaway is country living at it's best with a deck for barbecuing and a pond to fish. Situated near the baseball attractions, the cottage is perfect for a family vacation. Do your sightseeing by day and relax in peace and quiet at night.

Hiking, fishing and hunting are as close as stepping out your front door. Our cottage is adjacent to 275 acres of woodland just waiting for you to explore. The beautiful fall foliage is a sight to be seen.

Located 7 miles/12 minutes from Dreams Park and 12 miles/15 minutes from Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame. The Village of Cooperstown is only 12 miles/15 minutes away and provides many unique shopping and dining experience. The Farmers Museum and the Fenimore Art Museum are just outside the Village and are well worth the visit. The Cooperstown All Star Village, located just outside Oneonta, is just 12 miles/15 minutes away.

Baseball is the main attraction in our area, but you can also enjoy hiking, fishing and hunting. Our cottage is adjacent to 275 acres of woodland just waiting for you to explore. Upstate NY is also known for its beautiful fall foliage. It's a sight that should not be missed.

Our area hosts the famous General Clinton Canoe Regatta held every Memorial Day weekend.
