1940 - Luxury Accommodations by Wonderful Italy is located in the heart of Ostuni and combines charm, comfort and design to create an exclusive hospitality experience, where the recovery of typical and historical elements is perfectly blended with elegance and modernity. Located in an elegant building dating back to the 40s, it was an idea of four cousins ​​to revive their grandparents' house, where they used to spend happy moments of their childhood.



Five spacious and elegant suites created to offer guests an incomparable experience, where the recovery of typical and historical elements combines with elegance and modernity. The accommodation gives the possibility to live the past thanks to historical furniture and architectural elements, and at the same time experience the present thanks to the amenities of a prestigious building.

We aim to give life to the beauty of the palace and to let the guest live a happy and relaxed holiday experience in the amazing city of Ostuni, welcomed by the hospitality of the locals.



Rubino Boutique Apartment

Representing nobility, the ruby is considered one of the most magnificent stones, majestic and sensual like our suite. Located in the area of the palace that used to host parties and family lunches, which inspired the project, this was one of the first rooms to be built. Inside you will find an equipped kitchen and a sofa bed, and a bedroom with a king size bed and two balconies. You will be fascinated by a time travel through pink decorations and floor recalling the sunsets that can be admired by the suite. The room is equipped with TV, safety box and free Wifi.

Our services

1940 - Luxury Accommodations by Wonderful Italy offers various comfortable common areas where you can enjoy relaxing moments such as reading a book, sunbathing and having a cocktail at sunset. You will find a small relax area with beautiful frescos, a spacious terrace on the first floor protected by the walls of the palace and perfect for windy days and an additional terrace on the upper floor from where you can admire the white Ostuni skyline. Both the terraces are furnished with tables and chairs that will allow you to relax in the shade or under the sun.



*On request, at an extra cost, it is possible to ask for extra services: laundry service and additional cleaning. Parking is available for motorcycles and bicycles only.



*This accommodation is located far from inhabited areas and is perfect for those who love nature and animals. The road could be unpaved, sloping, poorly lit or not accessible by car.



*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.



Ostuni, known to the world as the White City, is the pearl of the Itria Valley. Its blindingly white, immense historic center culminates in the Cathedral (600 meters from the apartment) that soars over the plain of olive trees, the coastal dune park and a crystal-clear sea. Characteristic are its narrow streets, the Piazza della Libertà (5 minutes away) and the column of St. Oronzo that majestically protects the town.

Its countryside stretches into the heart of the Itria Valley. A few kilometers away is Ceglie Messapica, a center of tradition and enogastronomy; Cisternino, a village recognized as one of the most beautiful in Italy; and Alberobello, whose famous trulli have been a world heritage site since 1996. About 30 km to the north we find the Archaeological Park of Egnatia, Monopoli and Polignano a Mare, ancient fishing villages with a charming historic center and beautiful beaches. To the north (80 km) we find Bari, the gateway to the East, while proceeding south we first encounter the Torre Guaceto nature reserve, then Brindisi to reach Lecce, the capital of Baroque. Moving westward there is Taranto, heart of Magna Graecia, and finally to Matera, characteristic for its sassi and European Capital of Culture 2019.



Brindisi (30 minutes) and Bari (60 minutes) are the closest airports to Ostuni.
