Wonderful penthouse apartment

This apartment is a fabulous place to stay overlooking the valley of the temples and the sea, close to restaurants/cafes and a short walk to the centre. The apartment is full of modern art that the owner has collected over the years.The host Gabrielle greeted us outside the building and showed us around the apartment then bringing us a nice cold welcoming drink. Gabrielle then helped me bring up our cases before leaving us to settle in, he then knocked on our door about an hour later with a plate of local delicacies for us. He texted us places to visit and places to eat and offered his services as a guide if we wanted, on the morning we were leaving he took us to a local cafe for coffee and local cake. This is a fabulous place to stay with a host who made the visit one of the most enjoyable of our visit to Sicily, we would not hesitate to stay here again, you arrive as a guest but leave as a member of the family.

Fantastic view, location and host!

Wow!! This place was a blast! The views are incredible! The artwork in the apartment is really cool and the apartment itself was accurately described in another review as something like“1960’s Mad Man Bachelor Pad”. Really fun. Now to the best part- our host Gabriele. He took us under his wing! He took us on a tour of the Turkish Steps and more and told great stories about his family. (I would only point out that the kitchen wouldn’t be great for making big meals. It’s fine but if you planned on making a big dinner for a group it would be difficult) I am so glad we chose this place and I recommend it to you!

Wonderful stay

Our host, Sergio, was the most friendly host that we ever had. His apartment was clean, well artistically decorated and offering a splendid view over the Valley of the Temples. Bed and shower were perfect. We spent a very pleasant stay and highly recommend Atticodarte

Superb

We have stayed in many VRBO rentals over the years, all good experiences. This one tops the list, and much of that is to do with the host, Gabriele.His place is beautiful, full of art, light, and comfort. The balcony--terrace--is spacious and has the best of views. There is the ocean in the distance, the green of farms and orchards, and then magnificent Valley of the Temples highlighting it all. It needs to be experienced.Gabriele goes above and beyond to make his guests comfortable. He is friendly and funny, and a lovely man. He made our experience truly the best we've had. We'd go back.

Simple perfect!

We found a really unique apartment with a lot of interesting pieces of art, wonderful view to the town, temples and sea. The position is so comfortable to reach both the town center and the archaelogical site. Gabriele was a perfect host, so kind and helpful. Highly recommended, can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely Perfect

Beautiful, fully equipped penthouse with gorgeous views. The host, Gabrielle is a charming, kind and attentive man who lives next door and is available to make your wishes come true. We couldn’t have found a more PERFECT apartment for our visit to Agrigento. We recommend you choose this apartment before you miss out on a fabulous stay. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with everything you would need. The view is amazing and the local shops and restaurants were great. The apartment is filled with exceptional art, collected over decades by Gabriele, the host, and his father. The view is unbelievable—the temples, the Mediterranean, and the lower city. The location is perfect for easy walking to restaurants and coffee. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Hope to visit again!

The balcony and the pictures of the art in the living room were what attracted us to rent this property. It did not disappoint! Both are absolutely huge. Had the weather been warmer we would have been out there every morning for coffee looking out at the sea and the Valley of the Temples. As it was we got a couple of lovely opportunities. In the meantime the living/dining area (maybe 20 by 30 ft) was a lovely alternative. The bedroom is quite sparse but roomy and we found the bed to be most comfortable. The only challenges we had were with the kitchen and bathroom as they are very small by North American standards. That said, the bathroom had everything we needed and as you are so close to so many wonderful places to eat the lack of kitchen was not a problem. The host, Gabriele, is very friendly and was most helpful in recommending sites for us to see. He is also very kind and brought us some Sicilian treats. We were so enthralled with this property and Agrigento that we hope to visit again sometime when it is a little warmer.

Amazing Penthouse Apartment

My husband and I are frequent travelers and our stay in Agrigento will go down as one of our favorites. After a busy day touring Sicily sites, we arrived tired and jet lagged. Gabriele welcomed us with open arms, treating us as friends/family who had come to visit. He helped us find parking, bring up our bags, toured the apartment with us, and gave us tips for seeing the Valley of Temples the next day, along with fantastic restaurant and local business recommendations. He went above and beyond helping us book massages for after our touring our second day. The apartment itself is even better than the pictures; the view is incredible from inside and from the patio. The primary bedroom is comfortable and quiet. The kitchen is well equipped and has a washing machine. We truly feel we arrived as tourists and left as family. We hope our future travels bring us back to Agrigento; we will have Gabriele's beautiful apartment as our first choice of where to stay. Thank you friend! We hope to see you again soon!

Great view

The view on The Valley of Temples is everything! Apartment has a huge terrace to enjoy it We had some trouble at checkin because apparently the apt was occupied due to my reservation showing as cancelled… not really sure what happened there but our host took care of us and placed us in a close b&b for 1 night. Host is very attentive and available for anything Everything good!

Wow, what a dream!

This place has an immense terrace with a picture-perfect view of the Temples and the sea. We sipped nightcaps admiring the illuminated temples and drank coffee in the morning while watching the sunrise over the Mediterranean. You just can’t beat the incredible location on the ritzy Il Viale della Vittoria, which is close to everything, or the view, and it’s really quiet, too. Inside is just as beautiful, full of paintings and sculptures by local and international artists. The charming host, Gabriele, is an art aficionado and happy to tell you more about the artists, some of who are his friends. It felt like we were sleeping in a MoMA gallery with the modern feel of the furniture, all glass table tops, chrome accents and white leather couches. The place is spacious and airy, which was welcomed after being out in blistering hot weather to see the sites. We slept like babies on the super comfortable beds and the small kitchen was well-stocked. Gabriele is sweet and accommodating, very funny, too, especially if you understand Italian. He was full of tips on navigating Agrigento and gave us a really good restaurant recommendation (Kokalos for wood-fired pizzas) and for gelato (Le Cuspidi just down the street). He obviously loves his art-filled Attico which he passes on to his guests by making their stay as wonderful as possible. Thank you, Gabriele!

Vue panoramique sur la vallée des temples et de la mer

Gabriele, le propriétaire, est une personne à l'écoute, gentille et très généreuse. L'appartement est comme une galerie d'art (beaucoup d'oeuvres d'arts) et sa terrasse est exceptionnelle . Nous avons apprécié l'emplacement central de l'appartement. La vallée des temples se fait à pied (30 minutes) ou en auto (3 minutes), de même que le centre historique. La Scala Del Turchi est à environ 20 minutes en auto. Nous avons grandement apprécié notre sejour à cet appartement en raison de la gentillesse de Gabriele, son emplacement et la proximité des lieux à visiter.
