Ocean Serenity is a bright, reverse level duplex apartment set on the ground and first floor within the iconic Horizon View building, which has been designed to showcase stunning sea views over the waves below.
Horizon View is an architectural statement placed directly on the seafront of Golden Bay beach at Westward Ho!. The curved symmetry of the building flows into the coastline and was designed to make the most of the wall-to-wall sea views from the open plan living area. Walk out onto the balcony and you can breathe in the fresh sea air and drink in the superb sea views. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the length of the living area, allowing you to make the most of the expansive panoramic views and let the light flood in. The balcony is in a prime spot for watching the summer evening sunsets and a great place for spotting rainbows. The living area has been thoughtfully designed to create a sense of homeliness and comfort from the warm, modern colours, a large three-seater sofa, two armchairs, a contemporary rocking chair to enjoy the view, a dining table and Smart TV. Open the sliding glass patio door out onto the balcony which has a table and chairs, perfect for enjoying a relaxing breakfast or alfresco dining. If you like to unwind, and be soothed by the sound of the ocean, this is the place to do it.
The contemporary kitchen area has everything you need to create something to enjoy on the balcony. It is well-equipped with a dishwasher, electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer. There is also a washing machine in a separate utility cupboard within the apartment. There are two fabulous bedrooms on the ground floor, one of which has a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has a zip and link super kingsize bed which can be split into twin beds on request (please specify at time of booking). Both bedrooms are equipped with optional blackout blinds. There is also a family bathroom on the ground floor. The property is equipped with modern conveniences such as USB charging ports in most wall sockets and a Smart TV with catch up and streaming services available to use with your own accounts. Parking for one car is available in the underground car park, plus additional parking in the outdoor visitors car park which also has dedicated spaces for electric vehicle charging, which must be paid for by credit card.
If you feel like getting out and exploring, you can leave your car and set foot on an adventure around Westward Ho!. This lovely seaside town offers an array of amenities, quaint streets, colourful architecture and fascinating curiosity shops. The South West Coast Path also runs through the town and directly past the property. It’s a must for keen cyclists and walkers, plus options for swimming, surfing, canoeing and fishing all close by. Why not take a refreshing dip in the free open air seawater pool built into the rocks just a short walk from the property? Or join others on the local beach for a bit of windsurfing, kite-surfing or land-yachting.
The Royal North Devon Golf Course is within easy reach, and the Devon Surf School is just up the beach.
