A lovely place to spend a few weeks in France.

A lovely place to stay with ample space yet having a cozy feeling. It was our first experience of France in winter which included a mixture of weather, but the log burner kept us nice and warm on the colder days. Rachel and Jamie were very friendly and helpful and we hope to visit them again in the future.

Lovely cottage

Upon arrival we were greeted by the hosts. We were welcomed and showed around the property. The cottage is adorable and has everything you need for your stay. I would highly recommend a stay. The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful. with lots of places to visit within reasonable distance. We will definitely be back again soon. Thankyou Rachel and

Charming, exquisitely quiet location.

We stayed here last year, so we had a good idea what to expect. The owners warm welcome and hospitality was once again highly appreciated by us. We have been coming to this part of France for the past few years and this happens to be a great location situated in the heart of the peaceful French countryside. It is ideal for exploring the charming towns and villages in the area and, this year we discovered one of the many lakes in the region, which happened to be within easy walking distance of our accommodation. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to family and friends - and we're looking forward to experiencing more of the same next year.

Super séjour dans la Creuse que nous adorons, James le propriétaire très discret mais à notre écoutela maison correspondait bien à la description ,propre bien agencée,la canicule, nous a empechés de profiter pleinement des environs, mais nous cherchions le calme et le repos, donc c'était parfait

Très beau gîte dans une belle regiin

Nous avons réservé le gîte La Grange au sein de la propriété Le Chez de Rachel et Jamie. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, profitant de toute la propriété. Nous avons eu la chance de sympathiser avec le couple de l’autre gîte et de la roulotte, ainsi qu’avec Rachel et Jamie. Les espaces des 2 gîtes sont bien privatisés et préservent l’intimité. Le gîte est proche des commerces et dessert bien toutes les activités de la région. Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte !

Heaven on Earth

We had stunning vacations at this cottage. Rachel and James are wonderful hosts. The enviorment is like from a postcard. Unfortunately our french is very weak and we where glad to enjoy rachels recommendations. We can only recommend to look for sights or attractions in advance. Then nothing stands in the way of a great holiday.

Lieu magnifique

Un lieu magnifique avec des propriétaires super sympa. Nous avons passé quelques jours de vacances chez Rachel et Jamie et on ne s'attendait pas de trouver telles comfort, paix et amitié comme on a trouvé là bas. Le cadre est exceptionnel et le gîte est très propre, aménagé avec tous ce que vous pouvez chercher. Je recommande vivement !

C'était un plaisir d'avoir Kalina et sa famille ici. Ils avaient un emploi du temps chargé, mais quand nous étions ensemble, c'était très agréable.Nous espérons qu'ils reviendront un jour.

Our French Adventure

A very peaceful and tranquil setting, with outstanding views of the French countryside, the Gite was everything and more than we expected, quirky, full of character. The farm is full of hidden surprises and Rachel and James were perfect hosts.

Séjour familial et reposant en pleine campagne

Nous avons séjourné une semaine en août au sein de La Grange pour notre plus grand plaisir. L'environnement était parfait pour nos enfants de 3 et 4 ans. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les baignades dans les lacs alentours. Nos hôtes étaient parfaits et ont tout fait pour rendre notre séjour inoubliable. Un séjour à recommander pour qui recherche le calme et la beauté de la campagne et un endroit adapté pour des enfants en bas âge.

Tranquil nourishing & beautiful

There are two gites , one is attached to the owners house and the other is separate. We stayed in the attached one. Our accommodation was perfect for our needs , great nights sleep and relaxed days apart from when we left the property and walked and swam! Rachel and Jamie were very welcoming and attentive. The immediate surroundings are gorgeous and the village is just 1k walk . The surroundings beyond the house are beautiful with an abundance of wildlife . We spent our time walking and swimming in local lakes and rivers. It was a perfect holiday.

très bon gite - A recommander

Nous étions deux couples et avons passé d’excellentes vacances reposantes et avons pu nous ressourcer dans cet endroit calme . Le gite est propre et très bien entretenu . Les propriétaires sont charmants et au petit soin . Ils sont de bons conseils aussi bien pour les restaurants que pour les différents sites à visiter dans la région .

Lovely, relaxing and peaceful

The farmhouse was lovely and clean and in an idyllic rural setting with great walks from the property. Rachel and Jamie were really welcoming and couldn't do enough for us and were great company when we enjoyed a lovely meal made by Rachel. The lake at Anzeme is super for a day out as is Oradour sur Glane. Auberge des pecheurs restaurant at La Celle Dunoise was recommended by Rachel and the food was delicious. We will definitely return to La Grange but for longer next time!

We had a wonderful time at Le Chez...the property is absolutely gorgeous! We loved being in such a quiet peaceful place and I have already recommended it to other people. The owners make you feel right at home and the gite is clean and comfortable. A++++++++ all the way!

Excellent, would stay again

The property was as described, clean and comfortable. The location is very quiet and rural yet only a short walk out of the village. Only five minutes off the motorway network. Great location for exploring the beautiful Limousin countryside. It is a comfortable days drive from the channel crossings. The owners Jamie and Rachel are very friendly and helpful.
