The barn converted into a cottage, will surprise you with an authentic interior with its 18th century oak timber structure, dismantled in the Lower Rhine as it is dedicated to the destruction and reassembled by a carpenter passionate about Alsacian architectural heritage.

The decoration mixes antique furniture, folk art objects and contemporary furniture bringing you comfort and relaxation.

The interior walls, made with a method of building the past, the mud clay and straw used in Alsace to fill the half-timbered walls for centuries, create the basis of the decor with wood and tomette.

Situated in one of the many localities of the village of Orbey, in the green canton, nestled in a preserved nature, on the long-distance hiking trail that leads to the white lake by an old Roman road, this isolated farmhouse consists of several buildings.

In the old barn dating from the 18th century, the exceptional 95 m2 gîte will be your refuge.

On the ground floor, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, induction cooker, fridge/freezer, toaster, food processor, filter and Senseo coffee maker, as well as small equipment to prepare small dishes.

On the first floor, two distinct night spaces with 4 beds. Both open onto a living room with flat-screen TV (Orange cable channels) and internet access.
Possibility of an additional bed and a baby bed.

Outside, a splendid wooden terrace with garden furniture and deckchairs. Exceptional view, partly shaded by a fruit tree. Barbecue available.

For your comfort, the beds are made on your arrival and the bathroom linen is provided.

The guest room of 45 m2 is located in the large main farmhouse facing south.

This suite is composed of a room with the charm of yesteryear and its splendid adjoining bathroom, double basins, shower and round bathtub allowing unforgettable moments of relaxation.

You have a living room/library space with a large corner sofa and a piano for moments of music, reading, games or rest.
 
At the back of the building, you can enjoy the terrace with deckchairs and garden furniture on which you take breakfast/brunch.
