Really good accommodation in a nice location.

We liked the cottage itself - had a nice out of the way vibe to it - and the location, for the same reason. It was a nice place to be for a couple of days and nights. If being a bit cut off from everything is your thing then you’ll like this place.

Our relaxing week away at Martin lane farmhouse cottages

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we have stayed in these cottages for years now, we are made to feel so welcome, the cottage is always clean and tidy . We love the area and we have already booked for next year.

The property was easy to find in a lovely rural area. It was clean, comfortable and came equipped with everything you could need. The host, Ian, was very easy to communicate with and was very friendly. I highly recommend this property to couples or a small family.

Wonderful break

Comfortable with superb facilities for wheelchair user in family. Everything had been thought of to make the stay enjoyable. Owners friendly, helpful and approachable. The location is delightful. We spent 7 nights and enjoyed ourselves very much.

Lovely hoiliday home in peaceful location

Very well equipped home, with everything that you needed. Plenty of space inside and outside for the children. Having two bathrooms is always a plus. Owners on site and very helpful and friendly.

Countryside Iydyll

Five nights in the Lancashire countryside spent in a very comfortable & well equipped cottage situated on a non-working farm in a very peaceful rural setting. It felt like we had the best of both worlds in a way as it was only a five minute drive to a supermarket & take-aways and only about a half hour's drive to Liverpool, Preston or Southport.

Delightful cottage in glorious courtyside

We had a lovely time staying in the "Stable cottage" for my daughters graduation. plenty of car carking which was great as we all met up from different parts of the country and we had 3 cars. The bedrooms had everything you needed and there are 2 bathrooms, one with walk in shower. The shower pressure was a little light but we managed ok.

Welcomed on arrival.kitchen clean.very small tv in bedroom. Some grouting in bathroom needs renewal.wall in second bedroom requires repair and painting.bed in main bedroom has split mattress.

Thank you for you review, it is a pity you did not point out that you could not find any tea towels when we spoke briefly several times as I would have shown you where they are in the draw. Minor grout crack at the back of the sink and the two small impact marks in the bedroom wall have since been fixed. Blinds will be added to the lounge windows in response to your privacy concern however because the location of that cottage it is rare anyone walks past it. Phil

The Stables, Martin lane.

Good size, comfortable property, all amenities we needed were provided. Sue came to check we were OK, which was nice. Directions need to say ‘second drive’ not second gate as there isn’t one. Confusion on arrival. Overall starting to show signs of needing a refurbishment, floor giving way underfoot in parts, poor quality towels, no milk on arrival for a cup of tea, no soap powder for washing machine, ensuite shower very slow to clear water, maybe partially clogged. Fitted sheet didn’t fit properly, had to keep refitting. Overall a quaint cottage but somewhat tired.
