You will have the whole house.
Chez Moge is a beautifully appointed, spacious stone house, offering luxury accommodation for up to four guests, situated right in the heart of the unique bastide of Domme. The property also enjoys a private and heated pool (open from May to September).
The house is kept sparkling clean and always rated highly by its visiting guests – many of whom say it is the ‘best equipped house’ they ever have stayed in… Guests return year after year to this property.
Chez Moge is a fabulous property and offers the best of all worlds. Simply step out of your front door into the hustle and bustle of the square and take your pick from the many cafes and restaurants – or, shut the front door and enter a different world of relaxation, peace with fantastic views over the valley, or wallow in your own heated pool, a rare treat in Domme. Canoeing on the Dordogne is a few hundred yards away at the bottom of the hill and the stunning castles of Castelnaud and Beynac are a few minutes drive away.
Chez Moge has three double bedrooms, each enjoying their own bathroom. It has a dining room, well-equipped kitchen, a study and a large living room with double French windows leading out onto a terrace that takes you down to the pool. It has a large laundry room – which also doubles as a ‘games room’. The house has a large screen TV and Android TV box. It is the ideal property for those who enjoy relaxation and sunshine whilst enjoying the many activities that the Dordogne has to offer.
Chez Moge is on of the few properties in Domme to have its own secluded and heated pool – which is perfect for those hot summer days.

Review of Domme property

Property charming and very well located. Area beautiful. Well equipped property. Storms tripped electrics, would have helped to have confirmed where trip switches placed because we had to seek them out. Garden in need of attention.

Lovely house

We all loved the house. The pool was really good, our granddaughters could not keep out of it. Plenty of kitchen equipment. Lots of nearby restaurants. Handy having the washing machine. Very relaxed. Any problems although small were quickly dealt with. Lots of space in house for 6 of us. Would highly recommend this property.

A wonderful property in the heart of Domme

The house is in the heart of stunning Domme, just a few feet away from great restaurants, bars and the main row of shops. The house is perfect for families or groups. It has everything you need for a great holiday, including a BBQ, plancha, table tennis table and the wonderful swimming pool. We loved using the house as a base for exploring the Dordogne Valley as well as a place for our family to spend time together, reading, swimming, playing and eating. The town itself can get busy at peak times, but is not noisy at night so you have the best of both worlds. A short walk to the viewpoint and market were particular highlights, especially on market days when you don’t have to get up super early to find a parking space! Bertrand was the perfect host, always available online to answer questions and offer help and guidance. We loved our stay here and cannot recommend it enough.

Lovely house of great character.

We loved the spacious house, it's character and location in beautiful Domme. The decor is very much in keeping with the character of the house. We found every item of kitchen equipment that we needed for a very comfortable stay. The beds were also very comfortable but the small downstairs bedrooms lacks hanging hanging space or hooks for clothes. The house is near to the Dordogne and it's many beautiful villages. The terrace was much in use as was the pool. A little work is needed to improve the quality of the upstairs plumbing but the ground floor shower room was very good. The area surrounding the pool was okay but could be improved to make it a more pleasant place to sit. Overall we had an excellent week and would recommend the house as a great place to stay.

It's difficult to imagine a more enjoyable vacation home than Chez Moge. It's located in the heart of Domme - center of the action in the daytime but quiet at night.There are several restaurants nearby - good for people watching and a meal, when you don't feel like cooking. There is also a garden with pool if you want a little quiet time and sun. The layout of the house is such that the bedrooms are seperaited so that even 7-8 people do not feel as though they are on top of one another. Rooms are spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and appliances up to date. Every thingis clean and tastefully furnished. Most importantly, the owners, Bertrand and Magali, are reachable and very responsive if you have a question or need information. This was our second visit to Chez Moge and I expect it will not be our last. CEB, 15 Oct. 2023

Large character house in excellent location in Domme

We enjoyed our week-long stay in this large house that has a great deal of character. The location in Domme was perfect - two doors down from a good boulangerie, and easy to walk around the village. The house's upper terrace and pool were lovely. The garden was overgrown, which made it tricky to get to the basement where the washing machine was, and to bring out the sunloungers, which were wooden and very heavy, without being shredded by the roses. It would be nice to have lighter sunloungers, and a tumble dryer as it was rainy for a few days. And wardrobes in the bedrooms - a couple of coathooks with hangers on the wall don't work well. The sofas were very nice, but all of the chairs were terribly uncomfortable, inside and outside. Otherwise, it's a good property and we liked it.

Amazing loction and a beautiful house

We had an amazing week with family in Domme. So the positives: Amazing location- properly brilliant beautiful house friendly owner perfect spot for a family holiday a Pool! Crucial in the dordogne..... the kitchen is well equipped the sun terrace is comfy and beautiful with an amazing view- watching the hot air balloons in the mornings na devenings wa magical there are lots of lovely restaurants and bars within walking distance its clear that the property has been loved- all the fixtures and fittings are to a very high quality Negatives: There is a bunk bed room, but the bunk beds need some stairs The pool needs some TLC- nothing to put you off using it, but its not showing its age a little the pool area is small- which isn't the properties fault as there is very little room in Domme, but there isn't much room for lounging around the pool- its beautiful nevertheless- chopping back a couple of bushes would really help here and not change the property much. Honestly the negatives are included just to moderate expectations, but we had a fabulous holiday here and we wholeheartedly recommend a stay here- its magical.

We have stayed in Domme before .Villa suitable for 6 adults and two children .In spite of there supposedly being a pool manager, it obviously hadn't been attended to recently Algae on the steps,around edges and on the bottom ,we had to clean it and add chlorine in order to swim .Patio table was also "dirty" The garden was delightful but overgrown and neglected . Certainly no room for 4 wooden patio loungers .The pots at the front or the house contained only dead plants .I believe this garden comment was also made last year . The plug in the kitchen sink did not work ,so there was a great deal of water wasted .The shower holder in second bathroom upstairs was missing . We were left no yellow bin bags This is the first time to have no welcome pack,not even milk .Another first is we were not contacted during our weeks stay . All this said with a little TLC,this could be a really great property .

Hi Carol, sorry to read that the pool was not perfectly clean when you arrived. You should have called the pool manager, whose number is in the welcome guide provided. The garden is not overgrown, it is just the way we like it. There is no yellow bin bags anymore used in Dordogne : I am sure you noticed that recyclable waste must be disposed of in containers without bags : less plastic is good fot the planet ;-) I am sorry for the shower : the previous guests must have broken it. I will replace it as soon as possible. As far as communication is concerned, we assume that, as tenants, you don't want to be disturbed by your landlord... When guests contact me, I always answer quicky and my phone number is in the welcome guide provided.

Séjour parfait dans un adorable village

La procédure d’arrivée est hyper simple. Toutes les informations sur la maison, mais aussi les commerces, les restaurants etc sont indiquées au préalable. La maison est tout à fait conforme au descriptif. Les chambres sont meme plus grandes que ce qu’il n’y paraît!

Excellent emplacement et maison très bien équipée

Séjour très agréable dans une maison très bien équipée qui dispose de tout le confort moderne. Cuisine fort bien pourvue et vaisselle en quantité, ce qui est rare dans les locations. Beaucoup de charme : cheminée, tomettes, parquet. La piscine est un vrai plus. Stationnement devant la maison ce qui est rare à Domme. Emplacement stratégique pour visiter le Périgord. Terrasse très agréable avec jolie vue. Propriétaire sympathique et très pro : remise d’un guide de la maison très complet et pratique. Nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Maison très agréable

Louée une semaine en avril, la maison est très agréable, très bien située dans Domme. Pièces spacieuses et bien équipées, nous avons pu profiter d’un séjour sympa.

Relaxing Ladies Getaway

A great place to stay while touring the beautiful Dordogne area. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Bernard, the owner, responded to our one issue immediately. Our only regret is that we wished we visited earlier in order to enjoy the pool and terrace.

Holiday in two countries at the same time.

The Scotsmen Martin Walker with his books on "Bruno Chef de police" was the root cause for us to visit the Perigord. Before Corona came into the game we selected already 5 locations out of 1000 options in the Perigord. Fortunately they were gonne when we wanted to book. By chance the option for Pauls and Carolines house came up and bet all we had seen prior and selected this house therefore. The Perigord was as french, well tasting, warm, interessting as expected. There is lots to see around Domme and the house provides you with comprehensive information on the points of intress and activities. The house itself, which on the one hand with its French architektur is perfectly decorated with British style so that you feel a bit like in Britain inside the house while your enjoying France outside. We stayed already in place like Hotel auf Schönburg and Olrig House. This house could easily compete with them. We had several times situations in the surrounding Castle that we said our fireplaces at the house overexceeds the one at the museum. My boys and me espacially enjoyed the mens cave with Darts, Billard and Table Tennis. You also don't need to bring books as there is a full library provided. The nights were calm even while the window was open. The view from the Terrasse was breathtaking. Allthough the house is located in the heart of the village of Domme and the garden is not to big, the pool and the garden are hidden to foreign views. We had a perfect stay and will for sure return.

Nice stay at Chez Moge

We had a great time at Chez Moge. Well situated in Domme. No need to drive if you only wish to chill and enjoy the swimming-pool. Short riding distance to every interesting spots in the area (Grottes de Lascaux, Gouffre de Padirac, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle Castel, Jardins de Marqueysac, Sarlat-la-Canéda,...).

A total gem!

Chez Moge way exceeded our expectation Situated in the heart of the bastide, the house is delightful, furnished beautifully and situated in a fantastic spot. We didn;t use the poo; but can imagine it would be wonderful to sit on the terrace andsoak up sunshine in the courtyard with heated pool at your side. This must be the best equipped house we have ever stayed in and underfloor heating ensured we were warm and comfortable throughtou. Strongly recommended to any visitors considering Domme. We had a brilliant time and will be returning.
