Around the world, Mors is known first and foremost for its massive moler cliffs on Nordmors. Hanklit, at 61 meters, is the most famous moler cliff, and in the same area lies the island’s highest point, Salgjerhøj (89 meters). Both locations offer impressive views, giving you a clear sense of the varied and distinctive natural landscape found on Mors. Ejerslev Harbor is definitely worth a visit as well. At the harbor, you’ll find a lagoon surrounded by moler cliffs, and here you’re welcome to try your luck as a fossil hunter. There’s a lovely walking trail around the lagoon, and the café is open during the season.
At the Fossil and Moler Museum, 55 million years of history are brought to life through the many discoveries made in the moler deposits on Mors. This is also where you’ll find the Skarregaard Agricultural Museum, where time has stood still since 1958. The site is beautifully situated next to the two Skarresø lakes and is perfect for walks in the area. At Skarregaard, you’ll also find a wonderful nature playground.
On Mors, you’ll find enough to do to fill many days.
