This property is surrounded by panoramic countryside views. The house combines traditional features with modern conveniences. Located in the cross roads of Munster, Ivy Bridge is ideal for touring the South of Ireland. Why not visit Blarney Castle where you can kiss the stone, or Killarney with its lakes and Ladies View made famous when Queen Victoria and her ladies stopped to overlook the world famous lakes. Bunratty Castle and folk park, County Clare is within easy driving distance as is Kinsale. This historic town is renowned for its restaurants and marina. Fota wild life park and House is a 45 min drive as is Cobh, with its heritage centre and Cathedral. This town was the last port of call for the ill fated Titanic.

Lovely Stay

We had a lovely stay and this beautiful home. The host David was very helpful and gave us lots of suggestions for our trip. We loved our nights by the fireplace and the beautiful landscape.

Great location to experience Ireland!

Nice location to spoke out and enjoy nearby sites! David the host gave us great instructions on the house and stay and also allowed the kids to feed and hang out with his horses. Overall a great experience!

Peaceful Cottage

Beautiful spot conveniently located for touring Cork, Cobh, and Blarney Castle/gardens. David was a wonderful host, always making sure the fireplace was set up for a warm fire when we returned from our day of exploring.

Lovely cottage

This lovely cottage was truly amazing, David and Eilis are amazing hosts and full of knowledge and recommendations to make your visit the most pleasant one. The location is very convenient, lots of space in the house which was clean and the fire every night was perfect to end the day.

Fantastic Irish Getaway

The thatched cottage near Cork was an idyllic setting for our week long Irish getaway. We enjoyed feeding the horses and cockerel. The setting in the middle of the equestrian center was a fantastic place to relax after a day of exploring. Thank you to our host David who made sure we had everything we needed during our stay.

Fabulous cottage for a family holiday

What an amazing holiday we had in David's cottage. Surrounded by fields of cows and horses, the children were in their element. They especially enjoyed feeding the horses carrots. The cottage was extremely clean and well maintained, with a traditional Irish feel about it.

Peaceful Retreat

This house is a delightful surprise. Loved the ambiance and the personality of every room. David is a kick to talk with and the quiet setting was wonderful, but it was close to many sights and activities- so convenient and peaceful.

We had a great time. The location is very convenient and the family room was a perfect place to gather after a long day. Puppies was a bonus for us dog lovers. David was very helpful and made wonderful suggestions as to where to visit.

Great stay near Cork

Beautiful house in Irish country side. Close to Blarney, Cork and other major attractions. House was perfect and our host David was great. He met us and helped get settled in. He gave us great recommendations and researched activities for us. A wonderful host and an excellent visit.

A lovely home near Cork, Ireland. The hosts were friendly and gave lots of advice about local attractions. It would have been helpful to have more specific information on how to locate the property.

A little slice of heaven

We LOVED staying at Ivy Bridge Cottage. Eilis and David are fabulous hosts. We loved David’s stories and cannot thank him enough for setting up the fire for us. We highly recommend this property. We were sad that our 4 night stay was over so soon.

Superb In Every Way!

This was one of the most memorable places that we have ever stayed, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Not only is this adorable cottage convenient to everything, but the hosts were so kind and hospitable, and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the time that we spent with them-- as well as the furry friends. A perfect place to stay if you like history, and want to experience the best that Ireland has to offer. Comfortable, and well-appointed, with everything that you would want to have during your stay.

My family and I will treasure our stay in David & Eilis’s wonderful cottage. It is furnished and decorated beautifully to allow you to feel instantly at home. David’s greeting, local guidance & care throughout our stay was truly top notch! We so enjoyed the tranquil and idyllic surroundings. There was such a sense of calm when we returned after a busy day of sightseeing. Loved seeing the horses & the Puppies visits too!Thank you for allowing us to experience your beautiful space. David and Ellis are consummate hosts and this enchanting cottage was well-equipped with anything and everything one might need during a stay here. The home is exactly as described, full of character, charm and history, yet containing the modern conveniences that ensure one’s comfort. (Fantastic shower pressure and temps and consistent wifi!) a big plus: an accessible ground floor bedroom with accessible shower room. (Note, there is one step to enter the home). The horses, dogs, and the bunnies that romped in the garden during the early mornings and in the evenings added to our delight with the place. Finally, a word about the location: perfect! In a quiet country setting, within a three-quarters of an hour of any attraction we were interested in exploring: Blarney Castle and Gardens, Cork City, Cobh, Fota House & Gardens and Fota Wildlife Park.

Superb accommodations! We could operate independently. David and Eillis were super hosts. The grounds of this equestrian and thatched roof home seemed to roll on forever in total bliss, unscathed by the hustle and bustle of the outside world. This heavenly sanctuary was a paradise. We could cook, light a fire, play the piano and guitar, walk about, sleep well, take a bath or shower. The water was fresh straight from a well into the home. And, most of all, David's guiding hand, informationally, gave us a truly wonderful opportunity to enjoy ourseves in the surrounding areas to the fullest! I shout out accolades to all who have ears to hear! And, if you listen closely enough, the wind sounds melodic, as if a flute is being played.

A super quaint cottage centrally situated for exploring

Very comfortable yet old feeling home, traditional cottage yet modern. Comfortable beds and plenty of living spaces, beautiful property!! Piano was a plus, and horses although with our outings and rain we didn’t make it to see them. Not a walkable property but a 10 min drive into town. Very easy to get around throughout Cork from here. David is very friendly and helpful!! Very much enjoyed chatting with him! Note: GPS took us crazy way to get there… if you use equestrian center it’s easier to navigate to using Apple maps.

Best Country Experience

We loved this home for the moments we saw it online. Then when we met David, he was very helpful with everything in the home, but also had maps out for Ireland. My family did get sick during our visit and David was on it! I followed him i to town to get medicine for my son and husband. David checked in several times to make sure we were ok, and if we needed a doctor. Thankfully we didnt but having the owners close by meant that we could reach out if we needed anything. When we return for another family visit, we will be staying here again.
