Die Unterkunft entsprach genau den Angaben. Das Mobiliar ludt mit seinem rustikalen Charme zu einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre ein. Das Bett verhalf uns leider nicht zu einem erholsamen Schlaf, aber das liegt oft an persönlichen Vorlieben.Die Lage der Ferienwohnung ist perfekt. Auch wenn das Wetter während unseres Aufenthalts kühl und sonnenscheinarm war, konnten wir uns vorstellen, wie es an herrlichen Sonnentagen sein könnte.

Absolutely fantastic location, right on the edge of the lake and in the middle of the town. So everything was just on the doorstep, including the dock where the boats trips go out from.The apartment itself had everything we needed and Carla the owner was nice enough to pick us up from the bus stop when we arrived in Stresa. We had flown into Milan Malpensa and Carla had told us to get the Alibus from outside the airport to stresa. It only cost 25 for two each way and only took 55min each way. Overall we had a superb holiday and would love to go back again sometime

Fantastic location overlooking beautiful Lake Maggiore. Our lovely host, Carla, was extremely helpful and kind. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and hope to return one day.

Lake side

The flat was clean and comfortable, very convenient for the town, and boats around the lake. The balcony had a fabulous view over the lake. Carla was really helpful and welcoming, we had a lovely holiday there.

Stay in Stresa with elderly parents.

The location is everything - on the lake front with a balcony overlooking the water - this was very good value for money. Carla was very helpful and communicative. Free parking was available along the road, but I imagine in high season this may be a bit of a problem. The apartment was typically Italian, adequately equipped, and the entry is somewhat quaint, having to enter between shops to a small courtyard, with outside steps at the rear of the property. Also the second double bed has two parts where one bed slides out from beneath the other, so it is not a 'proper' double. We would happily stay here again.

Die Ferienwohnung ist abgewohnt. Auch die Sauberkeit hat nicht unseren Ansprüchen genügt. Der Verkehrslärm und die Abgase haben uns ebenfalls gestört. Positiv zu erwähnen sind die Aussicht und die Nähe zur Altstadt. Carla ist nett und ist uns bei unserer Kritik entgegen gekommen.

Great location

The place had a beautiful view and fantastic location - but was very dirty - mainly the kitchen. Couldn’t use the small cafeterias for coffee making as they were rusted and mouldy, as was the chopping board, juicer and oven mitts. My advise would be to bring your own coffee maker or go to Cafe Savoy downstairs. Great coffee! Pizzeria downstairs great and does takeaway of pasta, salads and pizza. Old sponges, rotting gloves were left in the kitchen as were broken cups with no handles and chipped plates. A good clean was really needed and I got Carla(the owner) to come back as we were not able to use the kitchen due to it not being cleaned properly. There is a dishwasher there but doesn’t work and hasn’t worked for a long time. Salt, oils and vinegars in the corner of the kitchen, we didn’t use any as was very little in the bottles and we don’t know how long they had been there for, so we bought our own. Range hood full of grease on the outside and needs a good clean. No bread knife. Television never checked and didn’t work the whole 2 weeks. The wifi modem was taken out of the apartment day 1 to share with other neighbours so it didn’t work properly for the first week and was returned to us later and works great when modem in the apartment only. The rug in lounge room is a trip hazard as it’s not a non slip rug. Very dangerous so we packed it away while we stayed there. Hot water was ok in small shower but no cold water needed. Shower screen could do with a great clean and the whole place needs a good dusting and good floor mop. For the money we paid it should have been rented out clean!! What a shame. There is no excuse. A little bit of time and care by Carla in looking after the property would make it much better and worth while.

Great relaxing vacation

We loved the location. The balcony is great for two people. We did do some cooking. It was great fun at the grocery stores and the farmers market. Train station is close as is the ferry ticket office Beautiful hotels to go for a cocktail in the evening

Avons passé dans ce bel appartement avec une vue magnifique de très belles vacances. Accueil chaleureux , appartement très propre. A conseiller pour tous ceux qui veulent découvrir les beautés du Lac Majeur.

Déçus par le logement en terme de propreté, d'équipements et de vétusté

Vétusté de la salle de bain, du canapé lit, de certains équipements. Propreté approximative. Linge de toilette vieillissant. Fils électriques sans ampoules ni luminaires au bout... Accueil purement logistique (nous n'avons pas vu la propriétaire). Tous ces éléments font qu'on a du mal à se sentir chez soi. Ce manque d'attention est regrettable. Dommage car l'appartement pourrait être très bien. L'appartement n'est pas adapté pour une famille de 5 personnes. Le coût n'est pas adapté à la qualité des prestations. Nous sommes étonnés des avis indiqués sur le site Abritel qui ne reflètent pas la réalité

Stay in Stresa

Prompt and efficient communication with the owner, Carla. Spacious and breezy apartment. Has a balcony overlooking the lake. Noisey main street when doors open, but lovely view of lake. Washing machine and clothes horse a bonus. Absolutely Perfect location to ferries, main square, supermarket. Carla picked us up at train station but only a 6 euro taxi fare back to station. Close to everything. The location could not be more perfect. Highly recommended.

Bella Maggiore

The apartment is in a great and easy to find location, on the same road as the stop for the bus from Malpensa airport and almost opposite the Maggiore ferry terminal. The views from the balcony are breathtaking and the two sets of balcony doors make the living space (kitchen and living room) bright and airy. The bedrooms are at the back of the property, with balconies overlooking a courtyard which is peaceful and full of trees and greenery. Carla the host was very responsive to email correspondence and Titta who checked me in was friendly and helpful. My only criticism would be that the kitchen and bathroom could do with a little updating and the linens were a little tired looking (although obviously very clean). Overall, I would recommend this property to friends because of the location and views.

Location, location, location

This apartment is in the perfect position. Being in a waterfront building the views are spectacular. It is very convenient to the ferry terminal and an easy stroll to the old town with shops and restaurants. Free parking is also available in the street.

Das Objekt/Wohnung ist gut, im Besonderen die Lage. Unser Urlaub war schon sehr gut. Was nicht gut war, war die Möblierung, die veraltet und abgenutzt war. Die Ausstattung der Küche lässt einiges Vermissen (z.B. nur 1 Weinglas, oder komplett fehlende Eierbecher). Und die Abschlussleiste der Küche war wirklich ein Graus.. Wenn hier ein paar Euro investiert würden, wäre die Wohnung echt gut!

Beautiful views and great location.

We stayed at this apartment for a week. You can not beat this apartment for the views of the lake and mountains and the location to all the shops and restaurants of Stresa. Parking was not with the apartment but it was easy to find a spot down the street. The Wifi wasn’t very reliable and if you had to get any work done ( which unfortunately my husband had to) it was very frustrating. Hot water didn’t get very hot. Carla was great to work with. She was very organized and replied to our emails promptly.

Perfect location by the lake

We had a lovely stay in Stresa. The apartment is in such a good location - close to the bus stop, the ferry terminal and not too far to the train station. There is a Carrefour supermarket near the plaza with lots of cafes and restaurants, so we had everything we needed. The bedrooms are quiet and we enjoyed coffee in the mornings, watching the boats on the lake from the balcony.

Beautiful location

Spacious and clean apartment. Very near the ferry port for boat journies with a supermarket nearby for buying food and drinks. Carla was most responsive to queries and helpful when we arrived and left, even printing our boarding passes. Stresa is beautiful and quiet and friendly.

Agréable appartement en face du lac

L'appartement est idéalement situé, face au lac et très proche du centre de Stresa. Il est bien équipé et les chambres placées à l'arrière sont calmes. Stresa est une jolie petite ville bien aménagée. L'on peut faire de belles balades le long du lac. Seul petit problème lorsqu'il y a du monde (et il y en a encore en octobre !), les places de parking sont très rares. Nous avons tout de même bien apprécié notre séjour. Gisèle L.

Great location and lake views

I know others have mentioned the noise from the road but we personally didn’t let it bother us. The bedroom is at the rear of the property so we were not disturbed. As a base for visiting the islands and other towns around the lake it is excellent, just a short stroll from the public ferry terminal.

A balcony view of Lake Maggiore!

We arrived to a very warm welcome from Carla. What could be nicer? The apartment is perfectly situated to enable easy access to Lake Maggiore. The ferries leave from just across the road. There is free parking close by, if you are quick, and all day free parking just 800 metres along the lake. The apartment is a charming older style; comfortable, clean and charming with a balcony where you can sit and enjoy an aperatif as the sun goes down. Stresa is a charming city away from crowded places like Como but accessible to Lake Como by car and the nearby mountains. We stayed a week and would have enjoyed a longer stay as there is so much to see......we will be back! Thank you Carla! A fabulous experience for us all
