Set on the rocks above the crystal clear waters of South Crete, Domus Mare Villas are a haven of tranquility, enjoying full privacy away from it all, boasting privileged access to an isolated cove and stunning sea views out to Paximadia island. Domus Mare I and II are a newly built complex of 2 villas, in an enviable position, rubbing shoulders with the Lybian sea, offering an awe inspiring coastal sea view. Waves lapping the shore create the perfect calming rhythm to compliment the serene outdoor environment with its beautifully landscaped garden of local flora and beach style pool.

Layout

Each newly built, "smart villa, has been designed with high quality furnishings and fixtures, has a hot tub, covers 140 m2, spreads in 2 floors and can accommodate 4 people in beds and up to 5 if required. The interior of each villa offers simple modern elegance with quality finishes while light flows through the large glass doors throughout the property, blurring the lines between interior and exterior.

Ground Floor

The main entrance of Domus Mare I opens up to a split level, open-plan area featuring the living room, kitchen and indoor dining table. The simple, modern design incorporates natural colours and materials with high quality furnishings and finishes.

The living room features a comfortable, large corner sofa and poof with a low level coffee table, a fireplace and a 65 Smart TV with Netflix and Satellite. Large glass doors lead to the poolside. The oversized dining table seats 6 and uniquely incorporates the oven hob.

The modern, fully equipped kitchen is set on the upper split level with built-in appliances of fridge and freezer, water filter, wall oven, microwave, dishwasher, espresso and filter coffee machine, kettle, toaster, blender and a full range of cookware, dishes and utensils. The kitchen also benefits from a wine fridge mini bar, stocked with some of the fine wines of Crete (payable locally). Patio doors lead from the kitchen to the outdoor lounge seating area and large barbecue area with outdoor dining table.

The ground floor bedroom has twin mattresses (0,90 x 2,00) that may be converted into a Queen size bed (1,80 x 2,00), air conditioning, 42" TV, closet and sea view, as well as its own en-suite bathroom, featuring a rain shower, toilet, sink, hair dryer and washing machine.

First Floor

A floating staircase leads to the mezzanine first floor allowing views of the ground floor below. The mezzanine space is truly special with a futon and low level table where you can chill out or catch up on work with the best office view available. Patio doors lead onto a balcony which overlooks the pool.

The first floor bedroom has a King size bed (1,60 x 2,00), sea view, air conditioning, 42" TV, closet and balcony. The first floor bathroom has a rain shower, WC, sink and hairdryer.

Outdoor Area

The outdoor area of Domus Mare I is a beautiful space with natural flow, panoramic coastal sea views and furnishings that allow you to relax and unwind but also make the most out of alfresco dining. In the evening, spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed to the west. The outdoor facilities include:

- A private, 45 m2 freeform, beach style swimming pool with steps and walk-in access (0,20 - 1,50m deep). The pool can be heated upon advance request, with an additional charge.(Please note that the pool heating can be used upon advance request for the entire stay and it requires at least one week advance notice).

- The pool terrace provides ample space to relax for all guests with pergola, sunbeds and poof style sunbed. With a variety of comfy seating areas, the most difficult decision will be choosing between them.

- Four seater hot tub and pool side shower.

- Large barbecue area with charcoal barbecue, bread/pizza oven, sink and ample preparation area. The large dining table seats 8 under a pergola.

- Parking space for 2 cars inside the Villa premises.

- A path at the end of the outdoor area, offers privileged access to an isolated cove right beneath the two villas, reached via numerous stairs with handrail. Portable equipment will be provided for the beach. Due to the nature of the property perimeter and cove access, this property is unsuitable for children under the age of 10 and care must be taken.

- The beautifully landscaped outdoor area, features a botanic garden and our guests are most welcome to help themselves to some fresh aromatic herbs. Discover the flavour of local, fresh cut herbs in your home-cooked meals!

- Beyond the garden, a path and steps lead you to the hidden gem of Domus Mare: privileged access to an isolated beach cove with crystalline waters (shared by both villas).



Important Accommodation Notes:

* Domus Mare Villas are not recommended for children under 10 years old and only for children 10+ under supervision, as there are not suitable safety measures for young children.

* Domus Mare villas are accessed from an unmade road so we would recommend renting an SUV or other crossover style car which are raised higher from the road.

* Domus Mare Villas offers a peaceful location and we kindly ask all our guests to respect the tranquility and quietness of the area, as well as villa neighbours. etouri would like to remind you to respect the quiet hours which are 15:00 - 17:30 and 23:00 - 07:00 daily.

* Thanks to the careful architectural design, each of the Domus Mare Villas offers full privacy and no outdoor areas are overlooked, even from the balconies, despite being next to each other.
* The pool can be heated with an additional daily charge. Please note that the pool heating can be used upon advance request for the entire stay and it requires at least a weeks advance notice.
* In case your check-in is late at night we will provide you with a code in order to enter the Villa and the owner will visit you the next morning.

* Daily shopping service (delivery fee plus shopping list cost) so you need to go no further than your door.

* Wine fridge mini bar service. Fridge stocked daily with fine Cretan wines ( extra charge payable locally) so you have a selection available to suit your mood and taste at any time of the day.


**Accommodation cost excludes Climate Resilience Tax. The amount for the accommodation type is set at EUR15 per night from April to October and EUR4 per night from November to March, payable upon check-in.
