Kingfisher Lodge is equipped with everything you need for a luxury self-catered holiday. It is beautiful furnished, including a four poster bed and a roll-top bath to the en-suite so it is perfect for couples looking for a peaceful, romantic retreat.

Equally, as the lodge is very spacious, and has ample storage its great for families looking for a longer break. Hollicarrs is ideally located for you to be able to explore all of what Yorkshire has to offer.

The lodge has stunning views over the wildlife ponds, and into the woodland beyond. There is a sunken hot tub on the decking, perfectly positioned to make the best of the views.

Hollicarrs is a quiet rural park, perfect for couples and families looking for a peaceful retreat. We do not accommodate Stag or Hen parties. Please do not book with us if you prefer wild nights to wildlife!

As a guest of the holiday lodge owner you will have access to all of the facilities that Hollicarrs Holiday Park has to offer:

Walking

There are nature trails in abundance at Hollicarrs. Whether you are looking for a gentle stroll, or a more energetic walk over a longer distance, walking trails have been carefully carved out among the trees around the lodge park, leading you through bluebell dells, primrose banks, past our bird hide to spot the wildlife and natural ponds teaming with life.

If you prefer to cover a couple of miles, why not walk through the woods to Skipwith Common Nature Reserve, a site of special scientific interest. This route takes you past the lovely Norman Church in Skipwith and the Drovers Arms is only a slight detour.

Tennis

The hard tennis court is flood lit enabling play throughout the year.

Fishing

The fishing lake at Hollicarrs is within easy walking distance of the lodge park and provides a sheltered, well stocked lake. Fishing platforms have been designed around the area for easy access including disabled areas for wheelchair users.

Bowling Green

A well maintained grass green for expert or beginners play.

Petanque Courts

Horse Riding

Horse Riding is available close to Hollicarrs with Naburn Riding Centre and Queen Margaret's Riding School being only a 5 minutes drive away.

Accommodation was amazing, well equipped and comfortable. The Hollicars park was beautiful to stroll around, staff were very friendly and progessional. The trails through the woodland were peaceful and the wildlife was abundant. Clearly well maintained with the environment at the forefront.

Gorgeous short break in a beautiful lodge

Our 2nd stay in Kingfisher Lodge and we enjoyed it just as much as the first despite the changeable weather! We love the seclusion and privacy of the lodge and it is spotless and provides you with everything you need. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Second stay at the Kingfisher Lodge

Stayed here for the second time and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Spent my big 50th birthday and had the best birthday. We went to Helmsley for my birthday and the village was super Christmasy and the back to the lodge and celebrated with a bottle of fizz in the hot tub what better way to spend your birthday

A home from home

All staff were so welcoming and happy to help. The lodge was beautiful - really homely and somewhere I’d happily stay again. The bus stop was just a 5 minute walk so we got to enjoy the York Christmas market, then come back and enjoy the hot tub for the afternoon. A really lovely place.

Kingfisher lodge is immaculate and by the far the nicest lodge and location we have ever stayed! The owner has thought of everything and all fixtures and fittings are of the highest standard. Will definitely be back!

A very enjoyable holiday.

A very nice and well equipped lodge, it was also very comfortable. The enjoyed sitting out onthe decking decking in the pleasant surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed the walks in the forest. Looking forward to returning.
