Canterbury holiday apartment for a comfortable short stay

We loved the apartment - it was warm and comfortable - especially the beds! We had all the equipment we needed for our stay - although we never found the TV Sky Entertainment Package? Wi-Fi worked well. It was well placed for walking into Canterbury centre and some local supermarkets - Sainsburys and Waitrose. Negative points were that on arrival it was dark and despite the directions, it was difficult to find the way in - not very well lit and lots of small steps to trip up! Fine in the summer, but maybe another sensor light would be good. When we opened the fridge it smelled horrid - it was turned off at the wall and had defrosted into the containers at the bottom - mould in the freezer compartment. We had to set to and clean and disinfect it - not what you want after travelling 12 hours….. Normally the fridge would be clean and turned on ready for the guests arrival Also, the oven trays were very dirty! There were only 2 of us, but if there were more people staying they might have found a problem with the cutlery…….not a lot of it and some forks for giants!!! Having said that, we would stay again! I expect the fridge and oven were just overlooked on this occasion?!

Die Wohnung ist geschmackvoll, gemütlich und mit allem Notwendigen eingerichtet. Das Wohnzimmer ist schön ruhig und liegt zu den Gärten hin. Im Bad haben wir eine Handdusche vermisst. Die hohe Badewanne ist für Ältere eher ungünstig. Die beiden Schlafzimmer liegen leider an der stark befahrenen Old Dover Road. Nachts wird es zwar deutlich ruhiger, aber Ohrstöpsel sind zu empfehlen. Für Gehbehinderte ist die Wohnung nicht geeignet, da man eine schmale Treppe 3 Etagen hochgehen muss. Uns hat die Wohnung aber gut gefallen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in ihr.

nice apartment , if you like to sleep with the windows open.If you have small children, they may feel the wind coming from the windows.The windows in the apartment are classic wooden and we, who came from Central Europe, felt cool from the windows. Everything else is fine.

Lovely place

Thank you so much for a lovely stay! The place was neat and clean. We access to town and Sainsbury’s is across the road. So easy to check in and check out. You made this so easy for us. To be honest, I am going to miss this little flat!!

Great location

Clean, spacious, well-equipped property, with a parking place at the back. Walkable to Canterbury City centre. Main roads easily accessible for further afield trips. Would recommend.
