Apartment in a tranquil environment with fantastic views of the Mediterranean

A modern, first floor, two-bedroom apartment luxuriously finished and fully furnished to high standards, located in Fort Chambray - one of the most exclusive areas of the island of Gozo.

This property, consisting of one main bedroom with a king size bed and Italian style furniture with a second bedroom with 2 single beds, is fully equipped with all the necessary amenities and modern day luxuries. Both bedrooms and kitchen/lounge area are fully airconditioned. Cable TV as well as internet is available via high speed fibre optic cable. Kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge freezer, electric oven and induction hob, microwave oven and washing machine. Modern glass dining table and chairs in dining area combined with comfortable living area leading on to a balcony with sea views.

Fort Chambray, a bastioned fort originally built by the Knights of the Order of St John is a gated residential complex enjoying panoramic views over the Malta-Comino-Gozo channel. Fort Chambray has been recently converted to a top quality, traffic free residential area with extensive landscaping and a pleasant tree-lined promenade overlooking the Mediterranean. Fort Chambray includes 2 large communal swimming pools, each with children's pool and shower facilities, both of which can be enjoyed by guests in the apartment.

Parking strictly for residents and guests is available during your stay in the underground garage.

Fort Chambray complex is within walking distance from the ferry terminal in Mgarr, Gozo (around a mile) from where you can take any one of Gozo Channel's frequent ferries to Cirkewwa, Malta (a 25 minute trip ) or one of the fast ferries to Valletta, Malta's capital city (a 45 minute trip).

A number of bars and restaurants serving different cuisines line up the Marina seafront in Mgarr. Buses run regularly from the ferry terminal to the bustling Gozitan capital of Victoria, otherwise know as Rabat by the Gozitans, itself a hub of retail outlets, restaurants as well as all types of bars, cafeterias as well as the quaint and typical Gozitan cafes found in the narrow streets of the city, serving local delicacies like 'pastizzi' (cheesecakes) and 'qassatat'.

The property will be cleaned and prepared prior to each arrival - fresh bed linen and towels are provided.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fort Chambray. Such a beautiful relaxing place and our host Tony made everything so easy. He took us to his apartment from the Gozo ferry which was a huge help, as we didn’t pick up our hire car until the next day. The accommodation was lovely and the pool absolutely amazing. Loved every moment.

Outstanding stay

The apartment was perfect—just as described and very clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful in meeting us and getting us settled. Our favorite aspect was the pool—it is amazing and larger than we expected. The location (fort) is really interesting and accessible by bus. We wish we stayed longer!

Beautiful location, Great Host!

We had a wonderful week at this property, it was clean and the amenities were well thought out and well provided for by the host. Can’t say enough nice things about the host, genuinely very helpful with great communication and advice. The area itself is lovely and picturesque, the kids loved using the pool every-day! Would certainly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Gozo as super convenient for ferry trips with some breathtaking views and great host!

We had an excellent stay in Fort Chambray. Our appartment was on the first floor with a lovely view of the swimmimg pools and the Mediterranean sea. The appartment was very clean and very well kitted out, we lacked nothing. The owner met us on arrival and was very welcoming and helpful.

Wonderful sea view apartment

Best location in town in a great apartment with beautiful views of comino island, sets of huge pools, with privacy and an amazing sense of tranquility. Ideal for relax and enjoy your time. Also very close to restaurants and amenities. Toni and his son where fantastic and Gelo in every way possible. Definitely one of the best phases to stay in Gozo

Beautiful views and a unique location.

Tony was a fantastic host and communicated well throughout. The location enjoys stunning views across to Comino and Malta. The supermarket, ferry and harbour restaurants are all within a 15 minute walk. We had a car and were able to park easily at the property. The apartment was well equipped and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the beach towels were an added bonus! We would definitely recommend this property for a quiet break on Gozo.

Fantastic apartment! Very comfortable for our family of four. It's a very well equipped and spotlessly clean apartment. We appreciated having towels for the swimming pool as well as the normal bath towels. The Nespresso machine was also a welcome addition. Air conditioning worked well, free secure parking and plenty of space to relax around the enormous swimming pools.Tony was an outstanding host, welcoming us on arrival and showing us Fort Chambray. The complementary wine and cheese and crackers was great! Tony was excellent at communicating, especially when an unexpected maintenance issue occurred. He dealt with it immediately and even on a Sunday night during a festival weekend!The location of the apartment is perfect for exploring Gozo and for easy trips to Malta, as it's right by the harbour. Nowhere takes too long to get to on Gozo from the apartment and parking your car in the underground car park is very straightforward.We had a very relaxing holiday!We all highly recommend this apartment and would love to return!

Gozo is a blast

This is the best spot on Gozo. With a magnificent view on the sea from Fort Chambray and Mgarr harbour you can just dive into the pool. While it's high season the gated community is very relaxed and you always have a place near the pool. If you rent a car (you should) it's only a few miles drive to the beaches, villages and restaurants. We really liked the Gozo vibe as it's quite relaxing and people are very nice. Tony is a great host and will provide you with all the info you want. Extra credits because he helped us get out the fort very early because we had an early flight.

wonderful holidays

Many thanks to Tony for his welcome and advice. The apartment is well located, clean and modern. Nothing is missing for good holidays. the residence is quiet, the swimming pool clean and very large. it is a dream place to rest and discover the island of GOZO. we will return with pleasure to Fort Chambray, at Tony's. Lovely location, with splendid views and a great host.

Tony was really helpful from the beginning, answering all the questions we had, and accommodating our requirement for a baby cot. He was also promptly available when we had queries during our stay. The property was really clean, and just as described. It is well equipped with all the necessary amenities for a splendid stay. The view from the balcony is really beautiful, and the location is marvellous, inside Fort Chambray, a bastioned fort really close to the ferry. Thank you Tony :)

We had a fantastic stay in Tony's wonderful apartment! Tony met us at the entrance to Fort Chambray, showed us where to park in the underground garage and showed us around the apartment. The apartment is just a short walk from the garage, with a flight of stairs up to the front door. It is very well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable holiday. The aircon units in each room worked perfectly and were much appreciated! The view from the balcony was incredible - the beautiful pool with palm trees and the sea beyond. The pools themselves were fantastic - there are the big one with kids pool at the front overlooking the sea (just a minute's walk from the apartment), and a smaller one with kids pool at the back (less than a minute's walk!). The water was the perfect temperature. The pools were never crowded. There are fixed umbrellas around the pool and there are foldup loungers and chairs in the apartment which you can carry down. There were a variety of different nationalities staying there, plenty of families, and it felt like a nice, quiet, peaceful, safe place. Sitting on a bench overlooking the sea (you can see both Malta and Comino and all the boats) at sunset was very special. We enjoyed visiting lots of places in Gozo - beaches, Victoria, ferry to Comino (go early - the 8am ferry - before it gets incredibly busy!). It was great to spend the morning at the pool and then go out in the afternoon, or vice versa. Thank you Tony! :)

Well-appointed apartment in private complex

Tony goes above and beyond to ensure you have great stay at his apartment in the private communit of Fort Chambray. Stunning views, amazing pools (there are 3!) and tastefully appointed apartment. Tony meets you as you get off the ferry and takes you to the Fort, gives you a quick tour of the place, and turns over the keys. Plenty of parking if you rent a car, and the a/c really works! Nice kitchen with dishes, frig, freezer, pots and pans if you want to cook. The bathroom is nice. And the place was spotless! Two bedrooms - 1 king bed and the other with 2 twin beds. We had a challenge getting across Malta and got onto the Gozo Channel Ferry later than we anticipated (took a wrong turn out of a roundabout) and Tony messaged us, then met us when we arrived. He is a gracious and kind host and gave us points of interest to check out. We would definitely book with him again!

Fantastic property and true to form per the pictures. Topped up with a great host. We stayed in Tony's property for 8 days from 20th August. The property was perfect for our family of 4 and had all the amenities & essentials for a home stay. Air-conditioned worked very well which was a huge plus on the very hot days. A car is a must & parking was never an issue. The pool was clean & it was never too busy during our 8 day stay. Fort Chambray is located on a hill overlooking the Mgarr habour with a picturesque view from the railings near the main pool. It's a 5 minute drive & 15 walk from the habour. Perfect location to base yourself in Gozo with easy & quick access to the Malta mainland. Ta Djani, a decent supermarket was a 3 minutes drive and Victoria (Gozo capital) was a 15 minute drive. Tony the owner was extremely accommodating. Provided us with pre-arrival info & met us near the habour to lead us to the apartment. Checked us in smoothly with a nice bottle of Maltese wine as welcome gift. Went out of his way to add the sports channel to the TV package at no extra cost and was easily reachable if need be. Will certainly be staying here again on our next visit to Malta. Thanks Tony for letting us stay at your apartment and all the best.

Quiet & Relaxing

My sister and I had a great time staying at Fort Chambray... The area is quiet and family friendly with short stay rentals and long term residents. The apartment is tucked away in a literal fort area which means it has very little to no foot-fall traffic. The pool is huge and refreshing and the pool area big enough that even if there are 5 other families/groups there you feel spread out and like you have your own space - it's really a lovely 'resort' feel without resort prices and with independent living. The apartment is spacious and clean and all that you would need for a few days or weeks stay. Tony is very kind and communicates quickly if anything is needed, and met us at the ferry (we came in quite late) and showed us around the apartment. It felt personal, and luxurious. Both my sister and I noticed how safe it felt (though that could be said generally of our experience in Malta & Gozo). There is a small grocery store less than 10 mins walking away & a few local restaurants that were better than what we had during our day in Valetta! Malta public transport is great and easy to navigate and very economical. We were very aware of the time being short and of all that we didn't get to see, but were thankful for an evening jaunt out to Victoria with a walk up the Citadel which has awesome views and didn't cost a cent. Gozo is wonderful! I wouldn't think twice about staying here again... I'd go back tomorrow if I could!

Séjour de rêve à la découverte de Gozo

Très belle résidence moderne, propre, avec une large piscine, dans un cadre très calme alors que nous sommes en plein été. Tony nous a très bien accueillis et à mis à notre disposition un appartement confortable, équipé pour cuisiner facilement, et clim dans toutes les pièces. L'appartement est idealement situé pour visiter l'île où toutes les plages sont facilement accessibles en voiture. Mgarr est un port tranquille avec de bons restos (one80, baraka, ta tuna... ). Il a aussi un club de plongée très professionnel Endless Océans Dive qui est tout près et organise des plongées sur toutes les côtes de l'île. Coup de cœur pour Xlendi en fin de journee (sauf pour les restos).
