Una cabaña privada, construida a mano con vista al lago Michigan, a 3 millas de Northport

La cabaña se encuentra a 150 pies sobre el lago Michigan con vistas a las islas Manitou y Fox. 700 pies de frente y muy pocos vecinos ofrecen un grado inusual de privacidad y soledad. Un camino sinuoso hacia el lago conduce a millas de costa perfecta para la caza de piedras y ágatas Petoskey, natación, kayak y relajación.

La cabaña tiene una amplia cubierta cubierta que es el lugar perfecto para descansar: leer, comer, ver una impresionante puesta de sol o nubes de tormenta que vuelan desde el oeste, mirar las estrellas o soñar. Estás cerca de todo lo que es el condado de Leelanau: bodegas, restaurantes, playas, dunas del oso dormido, golf, senderismo y la mejor bicicleta de carretera en el medio oeste ... pero es posible que nunca quieras abandonar este lugar. Es perfecto para aquellos que quieren alejarse de todo.

Del 1 de junio al 1 de septiembre, el alquiler es por una semana de domingo a domingo. Para el resto del tiempo, hay un mínimo de 3 días. Las tarifas varían según la temporada. En la temporada baja, hay un precio base, suponiendo que dos personas. Hay una tarifa adicional por persona después de eso. También hay una tarifa si tienes un perro.

El camino es de 15 pisos arriba y abajo, sinuoso y estrecho en algunos lugares. Se tarda unos 5 minutos en bajar y 8 minutos en subir. Debes estar en forma razonable para navegar.

Perfect for unhooked solitude with incredible views of Lake Michigan, nature and sunsets. Beautiful drives to wineries, Sleeping Bear Dunes, local eateries, Leland, Lake Leelanau, Norhtport, Glen Arbor and Sutton’s Bay. One of the most relaxing visits ever. Great Host!

Unwind in Northport treehouse

From the idyllic approach to the house to the expansive view from the treetops, our stay here was rejuvenating and restful. Days spent gathering petoskies and beach glass followed by music and family game nights. Daily walks with the dogs revealed constant wildlife sightings and driving around exploring the peninsula was full of natural beauty. The rolling hillsides, pretty cottage gardens in town and the water as the backdrop made every drive a delight. Hours spent on the deck just listening to the wind and the waves were the highlight. We literally felt like we were living in a treehouse!

Magical property with the most Stunning views of Lake, Michigan surrounded by nature!

This is the ultimate Lake Michigan getaway! The views were stunning on the deck and inside the house. The property is gorgeous and the house was super clean, comfortable and immaculately decorated. our host was very informative, responsive had positive communications with us throughout the day as needed! . The energy was positive peaceful and I felt one with nature.. I will return ASAP!

Fox View Cottage offers perfect privacy

We have stayed at this cottage annually for a number of years. While it has everything we need, we especially love the incredible quiet and privacy it affords. This year our visit overlapped with the spring bird migration, and our week was awash in bird song from the more than 90 bird species we saw in Leelanau. We surely hope to return!

Amazing views

We spent several days here enjoying the views of Lake Michigan and the quiet of the surrounding nature. Very private location where all you will hear are the waves, wind, and birds. A great place to slow down and reconnect.

A True Autumn Getaway

Family time

The Foxview cottage is perfectly designed for its location. The view of Lake Michigan is exceptional and the cottage captures every bit of it while still being interesting and comfortable on its own. Our three grown kids still like taking family trips and we enjoyed staying here very much.

Great Location on the Beautiful Leelanau Peninsula

This property is extra special. The views are beyond sublime, the cabin mixes in a good dose mid-century.modern. Clearly it was built with love by the family. They are very generous to share it with us. We wouldn't hesitate to return. There was only one stress point for me, as I didn't read the fine print...there really is no internet and cell connection is spotty at best, so be very sure you can really unplug(i couldn't due to work) so i spent a lot of time back and forth to town getting to know the local hotspots, which was fun sometimes. But truly this is a great up north vacation house. (ignore the words below...this app review interface really sucks..) orchardsdowntown Nortport.downtown

Beautiful, tranquil vacation spot

We had the best time disconnecting for the week. The views of Lake Michigan were breathtaking. The walk down to the beach is steep- it may not be suitable for everyone (our group was fine). There is a fun selection of games & music to enjoy. Our well-mannered rough collie had a great week exploring northern Michigan. Thank you for some great memories.

Great view, privacy and dog friendly.

We had a wonderful week just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views of Lake Michigan. I think we took about 100 sunset pictures every night with them all being unique with the different clouds we had coming through. The cottage is stocked really well with everything we needed for our stay. The Webber grill on the covered porch came in handy and got used every night. Our dogs appreciated not seeing anyone the whole trip so they could save some barks for home. 😊. We brought up a laptop and watched some old movies, but the Wi-Fi worked ok on the porch if we needed to get online for a few minutes. Kate was really easy to work with and we will definitely be back next year.

Very peaceful and private

This beautiful cottage perched above Lake Michigan is perfectly private. About all we heard here during our week in June was bird song and surf, and a lot of both. We have visited several times and it is always the ideal, peaceful getaway for us.

Leelanau elopement

When my bride and I entered the property, our first reaction was ‘Wowwww.’ The view is truly breathtaking. The cabin is gorgeous with a ton of character and all the essentials. The grounds are beautiful and secluded. Cannot overemphasize how gorgeous this property is. The host was the best I’ve ever had at a rental property. She was communicative, kind, thoughtful, and prompt. She went well out of her way to make our stay special. We will be back

A perfect escape

We have visited this property a number of times in recent years, and in every season it provides the perfect escape for us. The location is both isolated and easy to reach, with complete privacy, quiet, spectacular views, and freedom from the continuous pressures of an anxious world. We feel fortunate to have been able to enjoy this refuge, and very much hope to visit again.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This cottage was built by our family starting in 1960. The beams were built in our back yard using timbers from Saint Francis Church in Traverse City. My father bought remnants from the demolition of the church and much of the frame is from those remnants. My dad was a frugal man and reused everything. There is a kitchen counter top he made from left-over wood scraps from an archery manufacturer. Old cabinet doors are inlaid in the floor, as are many game boards he hand assembled. He used old colanders for ceiling lights and left-over water heaters for the duct work. He made the wall paneling from trees he milled himself! He also used under-aged laborers to build this house. We children never thought to thank him as we pulled and straightened nails and screwed the nuts to make the beams, but we thank him now. Thank you Pa.
