'The Barn', A large 4 person gite with pool, in a quiet and restful location

Comfortable 2 bedroom gite with a private pool, in a rural location, but close to ammenities.
Not far from the famous NW Dordogne riverside town of Brantome with it’s Imposing abbey, is the small village of St. Just, and here a quiet lane leads to the four properties which form the hamlet of La Roche Chabrelle
Our home, Maison la Roche (formerly 'Chez Hodgkiss'), is the last building before the lane becomes a track. This quiet hamlet is in an elevated position overlooking woods and farmland, with gentle walks all around.
Maison la Roche, comprises an old farmhouse and converted barn set in almost 2 acres of land.
The barn has been lovingly converted into a luxury two bedroom gite which is private from the main house, providing a tranquil and exclusive environment for the perfect French getaway. There are a wealth of exposed stone walls, oak floors and rustic beams. Decoration and furnishings have been chosen to provide comfort and convenience for your holiday. The barn is split level with four steps up from the living areas to the kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom.
The gite has its own sun terrace looking over the pool and woodland garden where there are lovely views over the valley
The post van is the total passing traffic, however we are not remote, being within easy reach of La Tour Blanche, Riberac, and Brantome with nearby shops and restaurants. Venturing further afield will take you to the lively departmental capital of Perigueux (30mins)or north to the vibrant city of Angoulème (45mins)
Here is a place for relaxing and enjoying your home away from home, and as a base for exploring the surrounding area, either by foot, bicycle or car.
