Our stay at Grandfather's house was wounderful. House is so charming with an incredible view both on the Sea and the Vezuvio for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Sunsets on the Vezuvio are just hamazing. House is very comfortable and adapted for a group of 10 /12 people. The pool area is lovely. The house's location was perfect for us : close to Salerno (15 min), Vietri di Mare (12min) and not far from Napoli (45 min) or Pompei (35 min). Finally, Claudio is a very pleasant host. Thanks again Claudio for this perfect stay on the Amalfi coast !

Fabulous house for large group

We enjoyed a wonderful stay here for 5 nights. The generous house and beautiful garden with incredible views gave us plenty of space to relax. Helpful if you have your own car (not walkable from train station) and there is plenty of parking. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Very nice house on the top of the mountain

We spent there 8 nights. Very climatic house with beautiful, big garden - the pictures on the homepage don't reflect the view on the valley and the beauty of the nature in the garden and around (blooming flowers, trees, plants). Good spot for trips to Amalfi, Capri, Positano, etc. as well as the relaxing afterwards.

Peace and Tranquility

If you want to stay away from all the tourists, hustle and bustle then, this villa is for you! Our stay was a perfect way to immerse ourself in this region and experience what it’s like to live here in a home that is 300ft above sea level. Our hosts were kind and gracious. Make sure you check out the local restaurant “La Baita”

Magnificent Villa with stunning views!

We were warmly welcomed by our gracious hosts, Claudio & Giovanna. They even helped us make a dinner reservation the night of our arrival. The house, gardens, view and pool were beautiful! Conveniently located close to Vietri sul Mare, Pompeii and Salerno. There is an excellent restaurant with gorgeous views overlooking the valley, within walking distance of the Villa. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back one day!

A dream come true!

4 French-Canadian friends imagined themselves living their best Italian life for their 40th birthday, in a villa with their families. Well we lived the dream, and then some! The villa is simply exquisite. Yes, it's (very) hot in summer, but the quality of the house, the pool, the view, the proximity to great places like Vietri, are all well worth it. And Claudio and his wife are so friendly. I recommend, 100%!

Beautiful villa in a lovely setting + very helpful owners. Didn't realise it was a shared pool, but this was in description but missed as not the initial villa we booked. Claudio and Riccardo very helpful and easy to deal with. Would recommend to friends.

What an amazing place to stay! Gorgeous views, very gracious hosts. Plenty of space for our 3 generations of family to spread out and enjoy. Claudio and his son Riccardo helped us with whatever we needed. The house is a work of art. The setting is quiet. The pool is awesome. Great for kids too. The nearby restaurant was full of good food and very convenient. A wonderful place to stay!`

Lovely house in fantastic location

A beautifully situated house with lovely view and fantastic garden and pool area. The house is within close driving distance to Pompeii, the towns on the Amalfi coast and other things to see. The hosts were very accommodating, giving us great tips and ideas on things to see and best ways to travel etc. We spent a week in the house, all in all eleven people, and it felt spacious with the many bedrooms and bathrooms, a big kitchen, lovely outdoor eating area and comfortable living room. We can highly recommend others to rent this house when visiting Italy.

Amazing house with stunning view

We had a wonderful stay at Giovanna and Claudio’s place. The house is beautiful, very well equipped and the garden pool terrace area is stunning with an amazing view. We were a group of 10 with kids, everyone had space needed for everyone’s own intimacy. We enjoyed the Amalfi coast, the visit of the Pompei site and some delicious lazy days by the swimming pool. Claudio is very kind and helpful, he comes around daily so you have the info but this is truly a little gem that I would recommend you to rent!

Villa in Salerno

The access to this property is not easy (lots of narrow and windy roads) but it is very secluded up in the hills. There were 7 people in our party and we are aware there is another bedroom which is open to let so you may end up sharing the pool/accomodation if this is leased. There is also an apartment below owned by the same villa owners which means you can expect visits from Claudio or other unexpected staff "passing through on their way to the other property..." not too intrusive but be aware if using pool or sun bathing you may get an unexpected visit...

Beautiful Amalfi coast Villa in the quiet country side

Our family of 14 adults enjoyed staying at this beautiful villa. Upon arrival we were greeted by Claudio and his wife Giovanna who gave us a tour of this beautiful villa. Spacious enough so 14 of us felt like we were not on top of each other. The Villa was very clean. Our family had so much fun in the beautiful pool especially since it was 90+ degrees during our stay. The outside area was perfect for all of us to hang out. Villa had a well stocked kitchen for cooking. We had a small issue with the hot water but with a quick text to Claudio he had it fixed immediately. This villa had everything you need for a fun comfortable vacation! We would absolutely come back to stay at this villa!

"A wonderful fortnight in...

"A wonderful fortnight in a great location. Whilst you will need a car to get in and out of this property, Cava is very well positioned for exploring Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum etc. The Amalfi coast is close. We had great day trips and equally great days spent by the pool overlooking the valley, sea and town below. Marvellous views at dusk, and amazing fireflies in the surrounding woods. Claudio and Giovanna were very welcoming and ever attentive. They had provided all we needed to keep our 1 and 3 year old children comfortable. Given the apparent scarcity of spacious yet affordable self catering properties in this region, we were very pleasantly surprised. This is a very comfortable and spacious house, and the photos don't do it justice at all."

Beautiful hill top villa

Claudio and Giovanna were lovely hosts. They were there to greet us and showed us around the property so we felt at home straightaway. They helped us find things we needed locally and even booked us a table at La Baita (local restaurant). The villa is amazing, with a beautiful garden and gorgeous views of the mountains, the hamlets around Cava De Tirreni and down to the sea. It is very characterful, it feels like a home and has lots of space for big groups. It is not perfect but this in no way detracted from the pleasure we all had in being in the beautiful environment. The main villa is on two levels and there is a separate flat up some steps. The entrance and bedrooms of the main villa are upstairs, the kitchen, living spaces and access to the garden are downstairs so anybody with limited mobility should be aware of that and that there is no hand rail on the stairs. I would highly recommend it and would love to go back.

Beautiful property and location, unpleasant circumstances

The house is lovely and the surroundings are beautiful. The owner is a very kind gentlemen, but he was unprepared to host our group. The house was 6 degrees celsius/42 degrees Fahrenheit the evening we arrived. There was a fireplace in one of the rooms, but it caused terrible smoke and did not heat the house, and we had to take the baby to stay in a hotel. The owner agreed to turn on the gas radiators for an additional hourly cost, but even this didn't help after the second day because the gas ran out, and then we didn't have heat or hot water or cooking gas, and all 8 of us had to stay in a hotel. The owner was very kind and very apologetic, but he should not rent his house out if he is unprepared to heat it, and to ensure adequate gas supplies to do so.

Heaven on Earth!

We stayed at Cava Villa from September 16th to September 23rd 2022. - a group of 10 family and friends. The villa is spacious and never felt that we were crowded. The main floor has large window doors that open to an outstanding terrace with the most amazing view of the village and the sea. the terrace expands one side to the pool area.. large enough for 10 adults to play and swim, and on the other side to a beautifully manicured garden with olive trees, orange, lemon, palm trees, beautiful flowers and gigantic succulents like cactus and agave. The bedrooms are spacious and the 5th bedroom is actually a loft suite with entrance from outside but equipped with shower and kitchen bar. One of the bedrooms is considered a children bedroom with two single beds that are big enough for an adult to sleep. However the mattresses need change as they were v v soft and uncomfortable. However all bedrooms are spacious with sufficient closed/drawer space. The main bedroom is splendid. Not only is huge and has an ensuite bathroom but had window doors to a balcony with the view to the mountain and sea. The entire villa is carefully and beautifully curated with unique hand made furniture artwork and fixtures. The pictures on the site do not make justice to the splendour of this place. The kitchen is equipped with everything you can think of for cooking and the outdoor stove and barbecue is working perfectly, Claudio and Joanna were wonderful hosts and gave us excellent local information and even made reservations for us as a very good seafood restaurant in Vietri Sul Mare (10 min drive).. There is a restaurant (10 min walk from the villa) with delicious food and splendid view as well as a small but well stocked grocery store near by that make their own buffalo mozzarella (the best i have ever had). Yes, you absolutely need a car (preferably not a large SUV as you may not fit on some of the streets), but the drive up is fun and aoooo worth it. Location is perfect to visit Pompei, Naples , Salerno and the rest of the beautiful Amalfi coast. There is a ferry from Vietri Sul Mare (beautiful town on the coast 10 min drive from the villa with a beautiful beach, restaurants and with superb ceramic stores). that goes to Amalfi, Positano, Capri. If you decide to drive allow approx 1.5-2h to Positano , and preferably leave before 9 am to avoid the big busses and the traffic. This place ia now our hearts. We will definitely return. Thank you!!

Base perfecta para la Campania

En la ladera de la montaña, sobre Cava de Tirreni, con unas inmejorables vistas, se encuentra esta casa, cómoda, acogedora y hermosa. Perfecta base para desplazarse tanto a la costa amalfitana, como a la magnífica área arqueológica de Pompeya y al final regresar al jardín, la piscina y las vistas del valle al atardecer. Claudio, su propietario es un buen anfitrión amable y atento.

"El lugar es encantador c...

"El lugar es encantador con una casa magnifica y muy grande, con muchos detalles decorativos que hacen agradable la estancia. Esta en zona arbolada y aislada con ventaja de tranquilidad, magnificas vistas, amplia zona de aparcamiento privado, un gran jardin, rodeada de naturaleza y con inconveniente de acceso dificil. Lugar ideal para recorrer la Campania, Pompella, Herculano, costa amalfica, Paestum... Hay que tener en cuenta a la hora del presupuesto que el agua caliente para la ducha no está incluida y tiene un costo de 4 euros/hora. Claudio, el dueño, es muy agradable y dispuesto a ayudar."

Es war ein rundum gelungener Urlaub. Das Haus, die Lage und der Pool sind traumhaft. Mit einer positiven Einstellung machen Gebrauchsspuren im Haus den Aufenthalt nicht schlechter. Ein unvergesslicher Urlaub

Das Objekt ist sehr geräumig und großzügig. Wir waren 9 Personen und jeder hatte ausreichend Platz, um auch mal für sich zu sein. Es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht, die Einrichtung traditionell rustikal und mit liebevollen Details ausgestattet. Besonders der Kamin hat uns sehr gut gefallen, den wir auch öfter genutzt haben, um gemütlich beieinander zu sein. Die Außenanlage ist total beeindruckend, der Pool ganz toll und wurde trotz frischer der Jahreszeit entsprechenden Temperatur täglich genutzt. Auch die Grillstelle ist perfekt. Ganz besonders hervorzuheben sind die sehr netten hilfsbereiten Vermieter. Jede auftauchende Frage wurde umgehend beantwortet. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Es war ein gelungener Urlaub. Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen und würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.
